@@casualobserver3145 it comes right off with a little mother’s magwell polish. I know there is concern about widening the cylinder gap, but in my opinion, you would have to polish for months before that could ever be an issue.
Thanks for pointing out the title error. This is a 629-1, the early 29s were pinned and recessed. The stainless version didn’t come around until after the changes were made.
Very nice 👍
@@mrj10101 thank you. Do you own Smith 44s yourself?
Nice addition to your family mate wouldn't waste my money polishing an already beautiful gun.

@@sebastiantarantello3893 Thanks for watching. It you look up patriot gun polishing on TH-cam his work is incredible but not worth $500 to me.
Gorgeous. You did an outstanding job removing any carbon buildup from the front of the cylinder.

Beautiful! It almost looks like it's a nickel plated Model 29-3. You did a great job on the stock refinishing!
@@keithwilliams2766 thank you very much. I’m definitely happy with the way. Everything came out. Turned out to be a great pick up.
Good video. 👍
Just correct the title it’s 44 magnum not 45. 😉😃
Just a question : I thought dash one models had pinned barrels and recessed cylinders?
