- Created this Azalea Bonsai exactly a year ago in 2011 (see that in • How I made a Shohin ... ). This video logs what happen to it, from weeks after the creation, until one year later. Truely enjoyed it, one of my favorite. Will post updates of this plant on a yearly basis from now on. Thanks for watching
Just getting into the wonderful world of Bonsai, I find your work so informative and enjoyable. Thank You so much for your time and knowledge, you make it all seem very non threatning for us beginners and that is so important. Thanks so much, Paula
RIP to thebonsaistudent. Just saw your FB page. May you live in on in your passion for Bonsai on youtube.

Wow! What happened?
Thanks mate, i love your videos, some great info in there and i also love the fact that you follow up on trees that you worked on earlier so we can see how they are going.
It looks beautiful! Just had an idea while watching your video, have you considered making a semi-cascade out of this specimen? I feel like it would let you keep the upper branch and it might show off the flowers to greater extent. Thanks for the great videos!
I decided it would be a good idea to make a Belgian Mum into a bonsai. Never realizing how brittle they are I've purposely had to break some of the branches in order to train them. So far so good, sealed the wounds and and crossed my fingers. I'll keep you posted
Your sacrificial branch seems to have better movement than your main branch :)
You should consider next time you repot to reposition it in a more upright style, take out the sacrificial branch, and trying out the LITERATI style. This tree looks like a perfect candidate, with the bendy, interesting trunk.
Another lovely bonsai...thank you.
Great videos! I have learned alot from you. Thanks for sharing.
very nice. a good contribution. thks
Muy bonita la Azalea Bonsáis
It looks great! just curious? how is your larger bonsai that you potted in a training pot doing? I'm doing the same for my azalea. I honestly have no idea how to style it. lol
Hi, nice Azalea video. Any update on this Azalea bonsai? How does it do since your last re-pot? Any new video or pictures that you can share?
just my opinion, but i would say juniper is faaaaaaaar easier than an azalea for someone new to bonsai...juniper's are very forgiving, and since you can do just about anything to them, they give a person an opportunity to learn many different aspects...
great video, love your stuff...what do you suggest as a first bonsai? that is sorta easy to acquire
Any new videos/ updates coming soon?
He died his wife posted it on facebook
can you make a video on your irrigation video?
No se porque se me secan compro una casa vez me en cantan
is there a sirtent time to style bonsai's?
No but there is a "certain" time to learn to spell k-12
maple, juniper, fucis and eucalyptus
