Great video! Thanks for taking the time , I have this exact model and your video definitely set me the right direction to getting camper ready for bird hunting in 3 weeks!
Badge great video 👍 that every one can learn. As a retired plumber/ handyman your explanation is so RIGHT and simple. Your the best and I say forget the rest of them. 👍🇨🇦🍁 Hi Maple 👋 get a treat from Ell now.😁🐾🐺😘😉🍪🍪
I have this exact water heater! When I left for the boat back in November I had to drain out the water. (I do this every year) Now this year (November) when I pulled out the plug that rod disintegrated to which I had to replace it when I got home before hooking the water back up. Other than that it's been a very good water heater. So glad you talked about this so now I will know if I have lighting issues I know what to look for. But don't ask me to work on it as I may hook up everything wrong LMAO! 😂😂😂❤❤❤
I have always watched your videos even if I felt that I would never need to know that because I always learn something. NOW I watch anyhow because 1. I might learn something and 2. The intro lol. I so much love that intro haha Thanks again for sharing all your knowledge and thanks Ell for being the worlds best camera woman!
Thanks for the video! This is very informative. I have one of these units on a camper that I bought in May. It is rusting and dripping water but still works. What can I do to service it?
Hi! We just recently purchased this water heater for my camper. We are having problems with getting the pilot light to stay on after lighting it. It has good pressure coming from the dual propane tanks, because our 4 burner stove works like a charm. Any recommendations on why the pilot light won’t stay on? Thank you!
Hey there, we have changed the Thermacoupler and the Gas Regulator and still aren’t having any luck. Do you have any more recommendations before we have to replace it? Thank you!
I have this same water heater. Replaced the thermocoupler but can’t keeep the pilot light lite. It will light as long as hold it down but goes out as soon as I try to turn it on. Any ideas?
I have this same water heater SW-6P. The pilot light stays lit and the burner ignites during the initial start-up. The burner operates for some time and then shuts off, but still cold water in the tank. The pilot remains lit but can not get the unit to "fire back up" after the initial start-up. Tried adjusting the temperature setting no change.
I replaced my sw6 (except electronic control and 120 element option) few months back when the tank started leaking. I'd recently bought the rig, and post-mortem dismantle indicated the anode rod likely had never been changed, rotted entirely away. It might take awhile, but electrolysis will eventually consume the other metal components if you don't feed it the anode material. Few bucks for the anode, or $350 for the whole thing?🤔☘️😎
Looking for some help, replaced all components on my heater runs great for 10 15 minutes just starting to get hot water then until shuts down, including the pilot .it will light right up and run strong for a while then goes back out. Good gas pressure
@@thomasbriggs5120 sorry I thought it was a heater. If new valve check theracoupler that is all it can be or a fault valve. I found if theracoupler is loss at valve it will do that. Sorry let me know
Last time mine was running I could here it heating up and it was loud! Now the pilot light stays lit and won’t fire to heat water. I’m almost 99% sure that it got too hot because I should’ve adjusted the burner flame. Lastly is there a reset button ? Or do I buy a new one
We're in HOT WATER today...
I enjoyed your vlog
Thanks ELL good job camera lady 💖
Thank you so much for the blue collar explanation. I now know what to do with my heater should it malfunction. All the best!
Awesome thanks for watching 🛠️🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦

Thanks so much Maple is doing fine so is Ell 🇨🇦🛠🇨🇦
Good video, I’ve got one similar to that, now I know what to look for if it stops working. Thanks heaps Badge.

Thank you, I have that one in my ParkLiner.... now I know more about it. It is 3 years old.
I don’t have one of those but I enjoyed the video! Thank you!❤️

@@Badgeweefixstuff HAHAHA Now that is freaking funny!!
Good morning Badge, hey that is a good info, thanks for.
One of the best video I've seen👍
Thank you Ruben 🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦🛠️
Very informative! Thank you Badge!
Very informative video Badge. Thanks for sharing.
We love our badge-awesome info-thx & safe travels
Great video, thank you for sharing it with us.
The relief valve is both for high pressure relief and high temperature relief! Known in the plumbing trade as a T&P relief valve.
Yes but not to control the temperature 🛠🇨🇦🇨🇦

Good information for future reference.
Looks like a pretty simple system.
I have the same jacket. I'm honored.
I am glad that is great coat 🧥🇨🇦🛠🇨🇦
Mine doesn't have a temp control. Good info BADGE, I will stop letting the air out, never knew. We don't need loose nuts!
The ss has more power. I found a bunch of bugs in a propane tube once. Guess you would say it had a bug in it. Cleaned it out and Bob's your uncle.

It will be thermacoupler if it's new it might be loose. That happen to me 🛠️🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦
@@Badgeweefixstuff We will try that! Thank you!

Pilot light runs momentarily. Black on /off knob will not go to white line when you turn to on?
Explain ?? Maybe switch fault it’s quite common 🛠️🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦
Can you repair/replace a cracked tank on this heater?
Yes you can Atwood ones are aluminum when frozen they crack just weld them work fine. 🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦🛠️
I have this same water heater. Replaced the thermocoupler but can’t keeep the pilot light lite. It will light as long as hold it down but goes out as soon as I try to turn it on. Any ideas?
Make sure the fittings are tight clean the pilot light out gets little pieces of rust 🛠️🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦
i likw your blog straight to point ,,,, where is Maple
How do you adjust the pilot on the that heater. My pilot too low
On front 🛠️🇨🇦🛠️ there is a plug pilot adj

It could be the hi temp or the gas valve. It could be a price of dirt in the orfice. 🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦🛠️

Check over heat switch or the flag switch. Or battery voltage it will turn off at 10.5 to 11 volts 🛠️🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦
Non electric sw6 p gas bottle full all new valve and pilot assembly . thanks for getting back to me.

ty Badge! you the man! ♥️
I have one and I can’t get it to light. My stove lights & the heat goes but it won’t light. Any suggestions?
Check to see if it has propane. The pilot jet could be plugged 🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦🛠️
Thank you Badge! 😍
I need to check and see which one I have. Ni idea about it. Picked up as scrap metal..lol
Can you make a video on why a pilot won’t stay lit? I have trouble trying to keep my pilot lit. I have plenty of gas in my propane tank.
On a sw6
I told you in the video the thermocouple or it's loose. Or a speck of rust in the orffice 🛠️🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦
Thank you
Love the new outro, but that new intro, not so much......ugh. LOL. Will still watch your vids. 😄
We going to flop back and forth on intro 🛠🇨🇦🛠🇨🇦
I have the sw6 p and can not get the pilot to light! Can you help me with that?
Yep check the therma coupler if it's loose
What if the pilot light lights the heater ignites heat up the water than the all flames goes out?
Thermocouple lose 🛠️🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦
Im not getting any propane to come out, where should i start????????
Check at the line on valve ?? 🇨🇦🛠️
I have an sw6 water heater in which the pilot light seems far too big you can hear the thing running from four or five feet away what do I do
There is a pilot adjustment on the valve 🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦👍👍
It’s just like a residential water heater, I have never seen a pressure valve blow only leak 🛠🛠😀❤️🙏✌🏽🛠🛠
Yeah that’s like mine did lol
This one doesn't have electric water heater?
No it don't 🇨🇦🛠️
The electric side of mine isn't working, heating element is good, replaced reset control and it worked most of summer, now not working again.
Check thermostat side. 🇨🇦🛠🇨🇦
How do I change the heating element
There is a nut holding it take the burner out 🛠️🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦
I think it is an anode rod.
Yeah 🇨🇦🛠🇨🇦
👍👍👍
If Dean is uncool Dean , you should be Really Cool Badge.
REALLY
Lol ok 👍🇨🇦🛠🇨🇦
I just put more wood on the fire under my stainless steel pot!
But can you shower in that pot
👍👍👋👋👋👋. 👨🍳🎅🥓🍾🥩🚌
Android or is it anode? Maybe this is Star Wars technology. LMAO

Is the water cold ?? Or is the orfice plugged
How about turn it on. To see how “simple” it is
Very just turn it on. Light the pilot set dial for temp make sure its got propane it will do the rest for you 🛠🇨🇦
