DIY All-Natural Garland is easier to make than you may think! Follow along as I forage for greenery in my backyard and make 40+feet of fresh garland for Christmas! I also transplanted five small "Charlie Brown" trees in some of my planters on the front porch and the greenhouse.
Winters here can be long and very cold. The cold helps keep the garland looking fresh for longer and I never have trouble with my natural garland drying out when I hang it outside. If you live in a warmer climate this may not be the case for you. I love how the snow drapes on the garland so much that I tend to leave it up long past Christmas day and usually into January or even February (just because it looks so pretty)!
I have a full tutorial on how to make DIY Fresh Garland and lots of other DIY Christmas decor ideas on my blog www.fletchercreekcottage.com

    MATERIALS FOR MAKING FRESH GARLAND
-A rope that is long enough for the area you’ll be decorating, plus a few more feet to allow for it to swoop or hang how you’d like it to.
-Green Floral Wire…I use 22 gauge.
-An assortment of pine and fir clippings (or any greenery you like)
    -Pruning Sheers
    -Measuring Tape

This video was exactly what I’ve been looking for! If I was going to make the same garland for my inside wedding a week before, how should I preserve it? Does it need to be misted or kept outside or cool? Will it last more than a week?
