4:07, "I know negative things" yep knowing how to do stuff in one program/framework/language and having to do the same in a new one, constantly conflicting with your old habits from the earlier experience truly is like knowing negative things, it'd be easier starting off from scratch, only if there was a format function in my brain
Heyyy, this video isn't "mid"! This video is a whole _adventure,_ winding its way from one unexpected challenge to another, and it is an _incredible_ story with a profound message at the end!!! This is probably one of my favorite videos yet!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Honestly, as someone who wanted to learn Parkour when I was younger, and ultimately gave up on it... because I was so out of shape, so afraid of Height, so afraid that I could get hurt... This is motivational in many ways, and a very interesting topic as well! I'm glad you didn't quit, cause this was an amazing video!
Sabrina, this is my favourite video that you have ever made. You inspire me with your optimism, perseverance, and desire to do genuine good by teaching others through your videos about your journeys in learning and working towards your goals and values. Thankyou for all that you and your team do
Honestly, I think the thing you mentioned about Boston Dynamics is sort of closer to how humans learn. Pre-existing knowledge (like a move set), and then learning on top of that.
If by "pre existing knowledge" you mean a to-do list of repetitive walk cycles and an occasional backflip and the hundreds of not thousands of subtasks tasks involved for each step being downloaded directly into.your brain.
@@siraaron4462 Except humans spent ~a year going from not being able to roll, to not being able to crawl, to not being able to even walk initially. Humans take a *lot* for granted in the first year they're learning even just basic movement.
I've been in a computation in linguistics course in university this past term, so my exposure to AI has been nearly entirely in the realm of language. This is a really cool additional piece to that understanding I'm slowly building, and while I can certainly say that I understood what's underlying training models now than I did before, this type of training I knew next to nothing about
Great video! I really expected it to veer into Reward Modelling, like, several times, since that's probably what you'd need to do to get a parkour AI to work. I made a video about reward modelling here PYylPRX6z4Q, which even uses a simulated body doing a backflip as an example
Haha yeah I was thinking about taking it there or lfd but figuring it out seemed like it would take another month at least. Gonna save it for another video (wanna collab 👀)
Sabrina hello from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. I love the topics you share on each video and specially how you share the learning process related to each one. It helps me to keep learning and remembering that it's hard but very rewarding.
ive binged this channel all day watched a couple videos twice starting from my journey home to and from work. the crew individual videos are all quality . gonna buy some merch when I get paid at the end of the month :) keep it up
I love how the prerequisite for your "learn a new skill" video was "learn Unity" 😆. Serious respect for pushing yourself to learn two new things! The idea of using AI because you don't want to be a burden on fellow humans is really intriguing. Great opportunities for assisted living / elder care. (I believe Japan has been investing here, since their population is declining)
I can feel how old I am when about to say this lol. As both a multi-language professional programmer and a former freerunner (also known as person who does parkour, honestly a bit surprised Sabrina never mentioned that once in the video), Sabrina is the best! Parkour is one of the most difficult sports I've tried (and I've tried A LOT), and switching languages is one of the hardest mental challenges I've tried (again, a lot!). I was happy to see Sabrina never left the cushions in the parkour gym. Freerunning in real life is one of the highest major injury sports there is. Doesn't make it less fun! But, a bit scary to watch when you know the likely consequences. Good job for getting in shape while staying safe, Sabrina.
This is not a mid video!!!! Im amazed, this is so imformative and i can see it being used in schools and universities to start discussions on machine learning and the role of AI today! Thanks for the effort :)
I can see the sheer amount of work you put into this. It's absolutely insane and deserves to be praised so so much for its relevance, wittiness, and quality. Bravo.

Between learning Unity and AI techniques in that amount of time and actually going out to learn some parkour, this video is very inspiring. Also, I'm so glad to finally see somebody diving into AI without repeating the same "Wow, the computer said it's alive" without realizing how easy it is to get a computer to say it's alive. And finally just the sheer amount of research and hardwork in learning that you all put in, it feels great to watch. Really commendable, your works deserve even more recognition and appreciation and admiration. Thanks for the videos!
I love how this is gradually becoming a programming channel
Yo I absolutely loved this video, so many of your videos show you genuinely interested in and enjoying the subject matter. It really makes your videos stand out.
Artificial intelligence is great, amazing even...as long as you don't misuse it. Doing so is either hilarious and filled with humor or awful and filled with malpractice.
Going through and commenting on all the videos I've seen so far to support and for algorithm reasons. I've been watching Sabrina since I was an eighth grader and now I'm in college. I'm so happy to see you around and so siked about this new channel, and your cohosts! I hope life is treating you guys well and the youtube work isn't being too brutal. So cool that you can program! Putting supporting you on patreon on my calendar for when I can afford. Okay okay bye!!
That was a nice, optimistic ending! AI won't replace humans, but supplement them and help achieve great things! Also, you sounded progressively more exhausted as the video went on lol
being subscribed to answer in progress is getting little packages of just excellent videos every couple of months and i love it
I can't imagine how much easier Sabrina's life would be if she made a chess AI
4:07, "I know negative things"
yep knowing how to do stuff in one program/framework/language and having to do the same in a new one, constantly conflicting with your old habits from the earlier experience truly is like knowing negative things, it'd be easier starting off from scratch, only if there was a format function in my brain
she does absolutely anything, even an ai cant come up with these erratic ideas
Sabrina's the coolest. I love how you're not afraid to showcase "failure" (or at least lower the BAR)
I hope Devin knows how much the internet loves him now
Heyyy, this video isn't "mid"! This video is a whole _adventure,_ winding its way from one unexpected challenge to another, and it is an _incredible_ story with a profound message at the end!!! This is probably one of my favorite videos yet!!! 🤩🤩🤩
who doesnt love a lil breakdown?
Honestly, as someone who wanted to learn Parkour when I was younger, and ultimately gave up on it...
because I was so out of shape, so afraid of Height, so afraid that I could get hurt...
This is motivational in many ways, and a very interesting topic as well! I'm glad you didn't quit, cause this was an amazing video!
A little late but I love the Niemann reference
Sabrina, this is my favourite video that you have ever made. You inspire me with your optimism, perseverance, and desire to do genuine good by teaching others through your videos about your journeys in learning and working towards your goals and values. Thankyou for all that you and your team do
I think starting with CodeBullet's videos was an obvious choice 😂
YESSS CODEBULLET
This was brilliant, As a programmer and a growing learner, I love watching your content
Also notable that RLHF, the technique used to train ChatGPT, is closely related to (descended from?) Reward Modelling
Haha yeah I was thinking about taking it there or lfd but figuring it out seemed like it would take another month at least. Gonna save it for another video (wanna collab 👀)
@@answerinprogress Please collab that would be absolutely iconic
This is peak content! It's authentic, has a story, entertaining and educational. Great job!
Ugh... I hate Sabrina's energy. She's seems so full of life!! Ugh! So adorable!
❤❤❤ ❤ ❤❤❤
this is a genuine banger video. Objectively top 10 sitewide
I'm dying to know how the parkour expert reacted when you told him why you were learning parkour (or, well, *if* you told him)
Sabrina hello from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. I love the topics you share on each video and specially how you share the learning process related to each one. It helps me to keep learning and remembering that it's hard but very rewarding.
ive binged this channel all day watched a couple videos twice starting from my journey home to and from work. the crew individual videos are all quality .
gonna buy some merch when I get paid at the end of the month :)
keep it up
Now that's what i call premium content absolutely magnificent !!! Keep up the learning you're amazing.
Ive been watching this channel for years and they just keep getting better
This is not a mid video!!!! Im amazed, this is so imformative and i can see it being used in schools and universities to start discussions on machine learning and the role of AI today! Thanks for the effort :)
I can see the sheer amount of work you put into this. It's absolutely insane and deserves to be praised so so much for its relevance, wittiness, and quality. Bravo.
love your content! answering questions like what is the difference between human learning and AI learning is actually also a philosophical question, not an easy one because we still don't know how exactly our brain/mind work
Oh gosh, I love your videos. All the concept of this channel. You show us all the process: the progress and fails and decision making. It makes me feel so motivated.
Thank you!
You actually talked about the differences between people and AI along with the real things we need to pay attention to besides unnerving predictive text and a better way to use that.
This was so impressive to watch. I just now discovered your channel by happenstance, but I got so excited for you seeing how you improved both at using ML AND at parkour! Such an awesome video. Rock on chica.
I never clicked on a video so quickly, love your content!!
16:19 - that subtle edit gives me life 😂
😂😂thought I was the only one that saw it
"Kind of mid"?
This was one of my favorite videos on your channel!
Seeing you struggle motivates me way more to get learning, rather than your perfectly filmed videos
Sabrina is constantly spitting BARS with great charm. I just have so much respect for her.
I think this might be your best video yet, folks. Thanks to Sabrina for toughing it out! I really enjoyed it, and it helped crystallize some of my thinking about AI which will be very helpful.
0:58 I agree, strongly agree
Absolutely brilliant video Sabrina! Was about to say one of the best for a while, defs not at all mid! Really loved how you went through your journey and also how the story changed over time as you learned more. Much love, and can't wait for the next one ❤
