This was gonna be "my bike" when I got home from deployment this year. My wife actually got a sweet deal on a 2018 Nomad, so she bought that for me as a welcome home gift. Love my Nomad, but that Capra.... such a great deal.

Glad to see you walked away from that one unscaved. 29rs are not my fav but I cannot really comment on that since I have never ridd'n one (they seem so tall). The Yt Capra saved ur butt from that 3:45 moment, so I guess that is the bike I would like to try. I am a 5.5" midget so I feel more confident on a 26"/ 27.5" DH kinda bike. Anyways, ride on dudes, the both of you! :D
@@JordanBoostmaster That is the thing, I have always ridd'n DH bikes 'cause I feel so confident with a sh*t load of travel and not too big wheels but taking on these new trail/enduro/fr/AM bikes is a whole new ball game and some brands really got it dialed in to establish some sort of bike-in-the-middle-kind-thingie, the Evil bikes are a good example and some Yeti bikes meet that criterium too. ButI am sure there are tons of brands out there that meet that criteria as well.
i mean mines definitely not the greatest climber, it makes it but it isn't as good as other enduro bikes lol but its almost a mini downhill bike and when you point the nose down hill it absolutely stomps. It handles everything like a champ and it feels really good not only in the air but also plowing through the rough stuff. id highly reccommend for anyone who likes to get rowdy and i love mine.

Looking forward to what you think of the trek. I have thr session 29er with some LB carbon wheels. The bike is a bit light and tens to get bounced around sometime (31.5lb) still getting the suspension right for Whistler and cypress riding.
So although these are a few kinda different bikes, all fall in the 170/180mm fork travel, 160/170/180 rear and all quite gravity focussed rigs, what would be the best choice for good dh performance, fairly agile (given that theyre big bikes, Im aware theyre no nimble short travel trail bike) and decent ability to climb. 1. Yt capra cf pro 2. Pole evolink 158 tr 3. Canyon torque cf 9.0 All 3 fall within a similar price range given what I can see. The pole is the longest and slackest (but also steepest eff seat tube angle at 78°) however its the only aluminium bike, not carbon, so also heavier. The spec on all 3 is pretty competitive yet seems a little less decked out on the pole. But thats to be expected from a smaller scale brand. Sorry for the long winded question. Im open to input from anyone. Thanks in advance.

I notice in most of your videos you are wearing a wrist brace. Which brace is this and how do you find riding with one? I've recently broke my arm, wrist and hand in a crash so will be looking for one when it's all healed!
The YT CAPRA is the best Enduro Bike i have ridden to date... It just begs to shred hard.. but it climbs better than my previous bikes.,,,. And it is the only pro enduro bike with a fair price... One riders can pay..... Suspension is a little progressive... for linear lovers i suggest changing to coil...

Are you intermediate skilled or ride intermediate trails? Your skill should not really change what bike you choose, other than maybe hard tail for beginner.
Salvotation I would say intermediate skilled rider that rides I terminate/ harder trails. I test drove the bike and really like it but I am just wondering peoples opinion on he bike
@@I53-624 I would look what other people ride where you normally ride. Some places the 150mm of travel is too much. They have a 130mm version. Too much travel on smoother trails can make it less fun. But I know people that love the stumpjumper
Salvotation agreed, but if I ever go to a place where 150 is needed I think it would good to get the 150, I could always tune the absorbent down so they wouldn’t really feel truly like a 150
the helmet cam is the Hero 4 which was recording at 24fps, (so I could do 4K superview) while the hero 6 was doing 30fps, that might be why it looked laggy
I love my Capra. So in my definitely unbiased opinion, it's the best enduro out there 😝
I also love my Capra, I too am biased, but it is a fantastic bike.

Jordan you need to try the cf pro "RACE" version. the bike you are testing CF PRO got 170. Race version got 180mm Front rear like a fr bike

Why are carbon bikes so much more expensive? Carbon fibre is old tech now - it's nothing new. Once it's cracked it's fucked.
Because they are way more effort to manufacture and carbon is stronger if done right.
Imagine building the layers of the carbon fibre strips to make the frames its way more time consuming
