Just got my Quest X10 today on your recommendation . Went out behind the house and found an American 2000 dime and two Canadian pennnys right off at 6 inches . Brian in Ontario Canada !!! Thankyou ............
I have this machine, I bought it as my 1st detector and it’s found me a hammered and a Roman minim at depth. Really is a great machine for the price. I have a simplex too now but I’m thinking of using my x5 again as it’s proven to me that it does it’s job well
I had a Quest a while back and a cracking machine. Thanks for being honest and not over hyping like so many other channels. Well done and look forward to seeing it on the field 👍
Working my way up the models, and I'm very interested in seeing what their premium models will be like. If the beginner ones are this good, then I think I'm going to be impressed...
@@Addictedtobleeps hey how the devil are you? 🤪. The Q20 is working Soo good . I find allot of coins and stuff but also allot of rubbish 😅. I really like the quest models. Saving 💰for the new Q60😉. Take care and I like your vlogs💪
I have friends in Korea who have been using the X5 for a bit now and have had great success with it. It is a nice little machine for starting out with.
I started with a quest q20. Now on a deus, but that means the quest is now for my daughter to use, and friends that might want a go, also a bloody good back up machine. Very underrated brand.
I was considering the X10 which is similar in design to the X5. The only problem I see with it, is that the headphone jack and USB are in the same slot. If you want to use headphones, you run the risk of losing your detector since the USB port is exposed to the elements. Not sure if that is worth the risk.
I just Subscribed like your personality I’m in Virginia in the US I’ve been using the Simplex plus. Just got the New Minelab X Terra. Don’t have a Quest but thinking about getting one. I need to sell a few of my older detectors first. I coin hunt local parks. And I really like using Beginner machines. For park I could use any detector. But I’m upgrading to the new age equipment. Keep making video’s there Great. Very cool Van. I have one too. 👍
You need a Spotify for these tunes you create dude. This one you created is my fave route and would of been the perfect soundtrack for the bbc series Detectorists
Hey, I love your videos. Thanks for posting them. You do a great job. I have a question, I just got an X5 and it has the eight secret frequency features. Nothing says what the frequencies are for or when to use them. What frequency should I be in most of the time and your opinion?
Sir I have quest x10 but i don't know how to operate this mechine please make vedio on quest x10 and show us how to set program for depth range detection
Great video kris My friend, looks like a great machine, i use a simplex at the moment but I do think the Detector store i bought it in have quest machines too but not sure if i remember right
Great review Kris. I would love to see you put some iron near some targets in the holes and test the recovery speeds and feedback around contamination. I had a Quest Q40 a couple of years back and it was a very capable machine. All the best buddy ATB MMMD
The Cyklop I’ve got the Equinox 800. As far as depth goes, it depends on the ground and the conditions. I used to have a deus and In my opinion it compares favourably to that. Slightly heavier though. I’ve had mine since April and have half way paid for it through beach finds already! Hope that helps.
Hi Kris - Great video introduction to the Quest X5, looking forward to seeing your field testing and conclusion. I have sent you a personal email to your Hotmail account which might go into spam because of an included link.

Does the X5 have 8 frequencies like the X10? It might because they are so similar. Quest doesn't publish it anywhere but if you hold the ground balance button on the X10 and push the volume up/down it will cycle through the frequencies. Worth a test before writing it off, or consider X10 if it seems to fit for you.

No problem 👍
Nicely designed machine Kris! Float resin is an epoxy liquid that sets and fully seals and protects the wire coil windings.
Ah Ha!
I have the Quest Q20 with the Raptor coil and it's a beast! Quest is perfect for the search!
Keep up the good work!

Great review Kris. I like that you actually put targets in the ground to test the depth. HH and be well
Glad you enjoyed it

Nice first review Kris, look forward to the series. Hopefully Detector Network managed to get hold of you(?)
Hi Hi! I think so? I really need to catch up on my emails. Eeeek!
@@Addictedtobleeps lol, the price of being so popular! They're the guys who set up the new Facebook like network just for Detectorists...
Can anyone tell me what the real difference is between the X5 and X10? I can't find anything that clearly states it to justify the price difference.
Good review!
This one or the Minelab Go find 22? Thanks

Can't find any for sale here in the US
That’s weird. I’m pretty sure they’re an American brand?
Based in Irvine, California. Available from them at $160.

They’re available from Amazon.
North Georgia Relics has them.
Nice mate.
Your more than welcome to bring that round my ancient woodland some time if your interested?
That would be cool :D

Bargain at £169.99. Nothing comes close for the price bracket.
Quest Q30+Quest xpointer 299 euro. Best deal on the market for the moment.
