I think it's much better writing, a better show in general, since it became the Tonight Show. I love when Jimmy laughs at the guests. He's engaged, he doesn't sit there and act bored, he gets into it. Love it.
He said "Mark Zuckerberg" like he waited so long to tell this story.
In time Jimmy will get better at this - Conan started off pretty bad but now he's the best of the best in my opinion. Jimmy needs to be more natural and relaxed because this fake surprise and laughter is killing ALL OF THE THINGS

Even if there are planned topics to be discussed, Jimmy knows some talking points and/or the basic jest of the story, but he doesn't rehearse the interviews beforehand w/ the guests, so he might be reacting genuinely to some details or how the guest is telling the story.
And he actually ruined the story when he INTERRUPTED him and said "he set up your fb account?"

stop trying to edit jimmy. this show is great and its great because its pure entertainment. never boring long drawn out stories. its real and jimmys laughing makes it more enjoyable. the others ones you can tell are scripted. the only one close to this is craig ferguson. craig has no script and hes freaking hilarious.

i love jimmy but i find it odd how he acts so shocked and surprised when guests reveal things like this. they discuss what they're going to talk about before the show so he'd already have known
this one seemed pretty off the cuff. Like, Andy pulled the story out of his life randomly. But I could be wrong.
FYI even if a topic is planned to be discussed, Jimmy is not actually talking about the topics w/ the guests beforehand, so he might be genuinely surprised by details in the story and/or amused by how the guest tells the story.
A producer does pre-interviews to find out what's going on w/ the guest, about the project, what stories can be told etc. and he brings Jimmy a list of topics that could be interesting for the interview, they prob. discuss them a bit & see if Jimmy needs some research/more info, but the producer is not going to reproduce to him the hole story, all the details, word for word etc.

MrTomdc1020 Actually it was random. I watched the full ep. and Jimmy was about to introduce the 5sec game, that is why he started gesturing w/ his hand towards the camera. After the burger seg. they went to commercial & Jimmy said when they'll come back they'll play a fun game -> so game seg. was next. Here they came from com. & he was making a little funny intro. for the game, smth. like: ''Andy I know you're a movie buff, ''I wikied you or I saw on your FB before the show'', aaa are you on FB? (like a btw)'' they were supposed to start the game & that is why Jimmy is gesturing to the camera to cue the jingle & Andy asks if they have time.
