    As a kid I remember having a shop vac that we used exclusively to clean our swimming pool with before opening it up for the sunmer. We used it till the motor literally locked up.

    Tis pype of shop vacs usually has very high airflow, but a bit low suction. Who ever uses this next should use bags in it so pleated filter stays clean 😎

    My Ridgid at my Church looks a lot like this one before you cleaned it, maybe I should do the same for it as you did when it gets warmer. If you get a new filter I’m guessing you’ll at least get 250 CFM if not more.

    I got one it's not the blower vac so that makes it even better and it is outstanding I have a air driven powerhead for it so I use it to clean my house and it has great suction power.

    funnily enough i live in the uk and i saw one of these at a carboot sale. it was in about the same condition if not slightly better. very weird. pretty sure they werent sold here in the uk. i didnt get it seen as there was something better at the time. i've also seen a shop vac micro before at a carboot sale.

      But even Dewalt is best as well because it’s a quiet machine with stealth sonic 50% quieter technology 60db

      They're relatively easy to take apart and service. I have an older model that doesn't take bags. That's my only complaint with it as it has quite a bit of decent performance to it. The Emerson machines (the company that makes Ridgid, Craftsman, Work Shop Vacuum and the MasterVac and Maximum brands for Canadian Tire) I find are really quite nice to work on.

      @@bread-gz3rl i know right and i am getting a dewalt soon and sell the shopvac 3 gallon because the motor sounds horrible and loud when i suck water from my old water softener and that water softener is going out of here so i have fresh water and the dewalt stealthsonic im going to use it and do something fun with getting hose adaptors so it uses as a wet and dry central vacuum system and professional carpet cleaner and more

    make sure when you get a new filter you get a filter sock. it will make a big difference with smaller particles. Also note you should not wash the filter.. they are not made to get wet.. you remove the filter any time you use the machine to suck up water..

    • @VacLab
      @VacLab  ปีที่แล้ว

      You actually CAN wash the filter and re-use it depending on condition. BUT, don't use it if it becomes damaged and make sure it's 100% dry before re-installing.

    • @VacLab
      @VacLab  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just an FYI, Ridgid no longer recommends using filter socks as plainly seen on the VF filter series boxes. The VF7000 is solely meant for wet pickup only, which leaves the VF4000, 5000 & 6000 to do everything else, like mixed debris (including damp/wet).
