Beautiful song. One of Led Zeppelin´s best. I never understood why it took them so long to release it. It would have fit perfectly on the albums iii or iv.
My eyes well up in tears every time I hear this song. At one time I learned it and filmed a video for it and I was in heaven for the entire time I was learning and practicing it. It is as much fun to play as it is to listen to. So amazing 💗
@@thepower6259He did not play “Bron-Yr-Aur” at Earls Court. He played “Bron-Y-Aur Stomp” at Earls Court. There is no video of Page playing “Bron-Yr-Aur”.
Jimmy never played this 1 live during the '75 tour due to his left hand being injured in a small mis-hap, however he used his 3 fingered technique instead on all the songs played on stage, he was quite dissatisfied with his self for not playing this 1 on that tour though he wanted his fans to see the other acoustic side of him. It's still a gem to hear this after 54 years. It's in a C A C D G E tuning or D A D G A D. He used these tunings during their acoustic sets, check them out ! Cheers !

He really could have made this as Masterful or better(?) than the Immortal album version that I and We All Love So Much but didn't for whatever reason only he would know, a missed opportunity certainly.
I fell in love with this in 1976. It still takes me to a beautiful place.
That was then, and that time will never come again.
It all repeats……yes someday it will
@@JohnBGood-ry9wj there will never be another Led Zeppelin lmao
@@dh4767 says who? you??
@@thelordraj5412 yeah, you can see I left that comment.
That is exactly what I meant with my comment on it. A now forever lost opportunity.

Its placement on Physical Graffiti is perfect

I have the exact same experience as I am learning to play this song now. It hits me every time I hear it and play it.
Dropped tuning I remember learning it it was not really difficult the tuning I found harder which blew my mind
I am canadian of welsh decent our greatgrand mother would tell us about that place
Has anyone ever found video of Page playing this live? That would be gold.
Live at Earls Court 1975

@@AllenGarberGuitarFunno their is but it’s very obscure it was like 3 years before he even put it out on physical graffiti.
@@chrismarpleNo there is no available video of him playing “Bron-Yr-Aur”. None. No bootleg footage. Nothing.
Someone should ask mr Page to play it these days, and broadcast it, eh?

Do it! I did, my first trip to the UK. Well worth the hike.

This is 1970? Had Jimmy already written this five years before it was released on Physical Graffiti?
Yes, it was recorded during Led Zeppelin III. Several songs on Physical Graffiti were leftovers from earlier albums.
@@spicy321 Sure glad it made it into an album. Can't imagine never enjoying this song.
It took longer to tune up for the song than it did to play the song.
Boo fuckin hoo
Open tuning to CACGCE.
Fast fact all notes are played white on the keys for piano
