It’s pretty widely accepted that it was a case of mass psychogenic illness (previously called mass hysteria) - basically a bunch of people having a nervous breakdown during an extremely stressful period of history
Shane writes the Hotdaga, but as Shane clearly states Ryan commissioned the series and is now a voice actor on it. It's really his baby, if you think about it.
Watching this from the future. It's honestly shocking how many people are always taken aback by Shane's talent in Puppet History when he had already created this masterpiece, the Hotdaga.
You gotta love how Ryan is sitting there being judgmental and my man Shane is still singing his heart out, not even phased. Shane once again teaches the world a valuable life lesson
this season finale is actually ryan's own doing because he told shane 1 too many times that shane didn't put in enough effort into the hot-doga and now shane has ascended to a level of petty that i can only hope to achieve
i love how the hot doga has gone from an animation of a hotdog chasing his wife across the screen to a critically acclaimed series with fully produced songs and a glorious plot commissioned by ryan steven bergara
DID SHANE JUST SAY RUINING HISTORY IS GOING TO BE EVERY SUNDAY I'm so excited that's one of my favorite series on youtube! (aside from buzzfeed unsolved ofc)
Ryan's laugh at 13:05 is one of the most joyful sounds I think I've ever heard, and the fact that it came from such a perfect self-own makes it even better. Plus, as he sits there in the beam of sunlight he just looks and sounds like an angel. Aww. Our sweet Bergooz.
Ideas for Season 4 (Either Supernatural or True Crime). -Madeleine McCann (Girl disappeared from her bed and hasn’t been found ever since). -LaLaurie House (Haunted House, disturbing history). -Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon (Girls that went hiking in Panama and never returned to their hotel room. Pieces of their bodies were found but there have been a lot of theories about what happened to them, including that ghosts and aliens were involved in their deaths). -Kenneka Jenkins (Girl found dead in freezer). -La Pascualita (Mannequin in Mexico that’s apparently the actual corpse of a woman).
I'll save everyone time with La Pascualita: she's a realistic mannequin. A real corpse would have either decayed or mummified, even with preservation. Take, for example, Lenin's corpse, which is routinely re-embalmed and is kept in a controlled environment, yet they've still had to replace parts of his corpse due to decay. Everything else sounds like they would make for good videos.
@@shayuh1244 I believe, and don't quote me on this, with wax. Ask A Mortician has a great video on it, but it all boils down to how even though his body goes through a complicated embalming practice every year, that hasn't stopped parts of him from decaying away. It's absolutely fascinating.
While I will miss "Unsolved"... "Ruining History" is really really great. I look forward to Sundays now! Not very many content creators that I follow upload on weekends, so it's nice to have something to watch then.
Buzzfeed unsolved will probably come back in like 3 months so they can travel and record and shit like last time! But idk supernatural seems more complex to do and edit so it might be longer.
Answer to, "Why is Pam little?" Sometimes Pam feels overwhelmed by all of the responsibilities of adult life and just wants someone else to make the decisions for once.
Tbh I didn't really like the Hotdaga for a really long time but now I'm a huge fan. I love Shane's enthusiasm, Ryan's exasperation, the music, the animation, basically all of it. Great episode.
PLOT TWIST what if Shane didn't actually take those voice samples apart and put them together... what if Ryan is denying so hard because he doesn't REMEMBER doing it... #RickyGoldsworth
God bless Ryan Steven Bergara for commissioning and starring in one of the world’s most iconic pieces of cinematography. I smell a GRAMMY... and I small hotdog
okay I don't even watch the hot daga but this episode was actually really amazing. Shout out to Shane's singing that was really good. i even felt like shedding a tear.

i wasn’t expecting ryan to accuse me of being a criminal today but honestly i’m honoured
That part made me cry laughing. You're so lucky
Ngl you sound like you know what you’re doing 😂
Emma Dawn 😂😂😂😂
lmaooo
I’M CRYING LAUGHING OH MY GOD
I would pay 1 million dollars to see the uncut version of Shane just singing with no music or effects while Ryan dissociates next to him.
ME TOO
HELP WE NEED TO SEE IT
YES
WE DO NOT DESERVE SHANE MADEJ WE KNOW DAMN WELL HE SPENT 16 HOURS ON THAT SONG AND HAS NEXT SEASONS PLOT ALREADY WRITTEN OUT
Agreed. He isn't a bad singer either
Its pronounced Maa dej!
STOP YELLING
when will we get the unsolved episode about the french people who danced until they died??? GIVE ME THE FRENCH PEOPLE WHO DANCED UNTIL THEY DIED
we need to start a petition to get Ryan and Shane to make a video on the dancing plague
@Jennifer yeah that's the official name
Im pretty sure it's been solved. Something about a fungal disease and convulsions.
It’s pretty widely accepted that it was a case of mass psychogenic illness (previously called mass hysteria) - basically a bunch of people having a nervous breakdown during an extremely stressful period of history
well, now it's a puppet history episode.
The amount of work Shane puts into the hot daga really astounds me
Same
Assuming he works a 40 hour week, I’m curious how much of that goes into the Hot Daga
Ikr
daga
Ryan: That was sloppy
Dr.Goondis actually sounds more believable than like half of the "ghosts" from the spirit box
You’re a shaniac aren’t you
Damn that roast was clean as hell and probably got him straight to his pride XD
facts
Ghosts👻 from the spirit box
DAAAAMMMNN
i was listening to this while my grandma was in the room and she goes “is this john lennon?”
lmaooo
HAHAHA
surely ur grandma should know what John Lennon sounds like xD
NOOOO NOT JOHN LENNON AHAHAHAHHAHAH
john lemon
Not gonna lie, the song really made me cry. Beautiful.

Shane: “the radio cuts out”
Ryan: “thank god”
😂😂😂
Shane: the rido cust out
Guys, I think Shane has lost it.
Wicked Amoeba I think he just got it
He’s never had it
Honestly I think he found it
I think that he probably just forgot it
But he just had it in his hand, like, two seconds ago.
Ryan, I think Hotdaga is your biggest legacy and the thing you shall be remembered by.
Shane does the hotdaga
That went right over your head.
Brave Kate TRUE
Kyle Dunville it’s a joke, because hotdaga annoyed Ryan....
Shane writes the Hotdaga, but as Shane clearly states Ryan commissioned the series and is now a voice actor on it. It's really his baby, if you think about it.
I want a Buzzfeed unsolved ALBUM lmao
ALBUN
Ryan's vice being clipped in for the hot daga had me in tears
Vincisomething *voice, but yes I agree
typo lol
Actually impressed with Shanes singing
WTF my ears are bleeding
Someone give Shane an award for the Hot Daga, please
Watching this from the future. It's honestly shocking how many people are always taken aback by Shane's talent in Puppet History when he had already created this masterpiece, the Hotdaga.
Hotdaga and the icon, Maizy, walked so Puppet History and The Professor could run.
Yes!!!
jesus christ the amount of work it probably took to put ryan’s voice together
*"I'm weaponizing the holywater"*
-Ricky Goldsworth
Russ RedCloud.
I’M CRYING WHERE’S SHANE’S GRAMMY???
Grammy?
Shane would've *thrived* if they hired him for Rick and Morty
Can we make a petition for that
He has puppet history and so I am forever grateful that he was never hired for rick and morty
But in all seriousness...anyone else actually REALLY like the song?
i really do q_____q
Damn Ryan is looking swole!! He’s been working out to catch those ghosts!
ika lamb I noticed that too!!
He's been jacked ladies
The ghosts are gonna catch hands for sure
ika lamb ohhh my god 😂
Once again, y’all mention the damn people who died dancing in France. DO AN UNSOLVED ON THIS TOPIC ALREADY!!!
Or a Ruining History!!!
Christopher Stephen Browner True!
But it's solved, so like???? It makes more sense as a ruining history vid :P
I thought it was one person who danced to death and it was in Ireland, not France? The dancing priest? Pretty sure it's on camera...
Nope, The Dancing Plague of 1518 happened in Strasbourg in France.
Okay but lowkey...
What a bop.
(And Shane’s singing tho!!)
Okay but low-key
You mean high key
Unrelated but....I LOVE YOUR PROFILE PICTURE 😭😭😭
Is it just me or were they extra iconic in this one
The glasses bit had me dying
This is the one. This is the episode that makes me adore the Hot Daga. I’m sorry Ryan, the Risky Fixens are just too darn good.
Don't apologize for loving the greatest band of all time. They were so good their lyrics are carved into the moon.
I spend an hour searching for this episode just to watch it again
1:16 Shane being so excited while Ryan was so smug. "WE GOT 'EM!"
Next season:
*Buzzfeed Unsolved: the Musical*
and.rosie pleaseee😂
and.rosie yes please 😂
This needs to exist
YEAH!!!!!!!!
and.rosie there's a million things I haven't solved but just you wait, just you wait
“Plupple” is the cutest word in existence
Rose Kennedy then you'll love to know that a group of bunnies is called a "fluffle"
I thought that was super adorable too!
Rose Kennedy Omg you are gorgeous!
Anne Brookes I'm being really stalker-ish like here but based on your playlists, you really like alien invasions huh.(and koalas)
You gotta love how Ryan is sitting there being judgmental and my man Shane is still singing his heart out, not even phased. Shane once again teaches the world a valuable life lesson
TheAndrewDan 😂😂 “give no fucks, take no shit” that is the lesson
The amount of work Shane puts into the hot daga is inspirational!
I think its cute as hell haha
I miss it so much
this season finale is actually ryan's own doing because he told shane 1 too many times that shane didn't put in enough effort into the hot-doga and now shane has ascended to a level of petty that i can only hope to achieve
The entirety of the hot daga was Ryan’s own doing, but when will Ryan learn not to invoke Shane’s ability to be the MOST™️
shane has made the hot daga an academy award winning show completely out of spite and i am living for it
I like how proud Shane is when Ryan roasts that commenter
Alice Kim true that!!
Do u have any idea when the new seasons starts. I miss them already 😥
Shane:"The radio cuts out"
Ryan:"Thank God"
I just pissed my pants laughing so hard
the amount of passion shane has for that risky fixins song is truly inspiring
_”The radio cuts out.”_
*”Thank God.”*
THE PRODUCTION VALUE ON BUNSOLVED THO
I'd pay to see shane sing in person
Hannah Harveye me too
I love 11:35
Shane: (wheeze) why would you say that
Ryan: (wheeze) because!
They just wheeze at each other as a form of communication love these boys
i love how the hot doga has gone from an animation of a hotdog chasing his wife across the screen to a critically acclaimed series with fully produced songs and a glorious plot commissioned by ryan steven bergara
Its a masterpiece, but being completely honest the song is actually really good; like im going to make it my alarm.
DID SHANE JUST SAY RUINING HISTORY IS GOING TO BE EVERY SUNDAY I'm so excited that's one of my favorite series on youtube! (aside from buzzfeed unsolved ofc)
Can they investigate how Ryan's arms got so ridiculously jacked because damn
A swole a day keeps the ghosties away 💪👻👻👻
I noticed that!
Emma Lay He picks things up and puts them down.
wow shane... that was a grammy-winning song. david bowie is shooketh
The chemistry these two have is ghoulish!
Scarily good!
the hotdaga was worth it all this time for this specific episode
the hot daga song tho brb gonna cry
Ryan's laugh at 13:05 is one of the most joyful sounds I think I've ever heard, and the fact that it came from such a perfect self-own makes it even better. Plus, as he sits there in the beam of sunlight he just looks and sounds like an angel. Aww. Our sweet Bergooz.

The production process that goes into the hotdaga is incredible. I’m sorry but I’m so here for this.
Dear god... gET THAT SONG ON SPOTIFY!!! I HAVE FOUND MY LIFE ANTHEM!!!
I want to live my life being as extra as Shane with his Hot daga like honestly

Kenneka is highly controversial so idk if thats a good idea
Eventually we need a dedicated episode to the legend of Ricky Goldsworth
Gregory Bentley please 😊
And his lovers, CC Tinsley and Francesca Norris
THAT SONG IS FIRE!!

a ballad
I'm wondering when it's going to be available on iTunes. Lol

It was even better those few weeks we had Unsolved, Post Mortem AND Ruining History. Lol.
When will unsolved come back?
Buzzfeed unsolved will probably come back in like 3 months so they can travel and record and shit like last time! But idk supernatural seems more complex to do and edit so it might be longer.
wait so are they not doing supernatural ? I'm confused
Ya same what will be next supernatural or just unsolved or nothing ?!?
Answer to, "Why is Pam little?"
Sometimes Pam feels overwhelmed by all of the responsibilities of adult life and just wants someone else to make the decisions for once.
did you just-
Pam IS a little 😂
ryan is looking really good in this episode
You look really good in your profile pic
Shane please make a history vid about the dancing people in France!
Not only is stitching Ryan's voice together genius; but if you notice Ryan is actually paying attention to the story now. Good job Shane!
Jason & Max That is exactly what I was thinking!
LMAO YEAH and he's actually reacting beyond just a "please kill me now" face
Is that Shane singing??? Shane excellent meatloaf impression....good singing.
Idk,spooky stuff.
That song was everything I needed and more, participating in the Hot Daga is Ryan's biggest accomplishment in his life tbh
Tbh I didn't really like the Hotdaga for a really long time but now I'm a huge fan. I love Shane's enthusiasm, Ryan's exasperation, the music, the animation, basically all of it. Great episode.
Katie McGowan omg same!
wow ryan was right with a pronunciation for once
That song was a bop where can I download it?
I love the tormenting of Ryan during the hotdog saga lol
*Sounds like a job for....Ricky Goldsworth*
no that''s C.C Tinsley
Jack Baker wasn’t talking about C.C Tinsley
PLOT TWIST what if Shane didn't actually take those voice samples apart and put them together... what if Ryan is denying so hard because he doesn't REMEMBER doing it... #RickyGoldsworth
O H S H I T
OH. MY. GOD.
I love that the implication of this comment is that feared Richard Goldsworth would actually voice act for a crazy egg in this hot dog story.
@@miasterling575 Stranger things have happened . . .
Ryan: i was shanghaied

Ryan's voice overs are absolutely hilarious (so is trolling on him 😂)

okay, but when are we getting hot daga merch?
Give this a like if Shane should release his own album of music.
(Edit: I'M SCREAMING HOW DID THIS GET TO 548 LIKES I'M)
Missroseinthehouse for reals he should
I was shocked that the music was actually decent. He has an interesting singing voice.
Yasss he actually sounds pretty good actually.
"sometimes you get locked up, sitting in a cell while plupples plup plup plup"
wise words from Shane Madej
I’m starting to wonder which takes more work, Ryan researching unsolved mysteries or Shane coming up with hotdaga stories? 😂
It looks like the mystery of which takes longer remains... uNsOlVeD
smart water *slow clap*
When and if they finish the hotdaga I will need a CD of all the episodes in order so I can watch it like a movie. 😂
You mean a DVD? lol
the amount of work shane puts into his efforts to annoy ryan is hilarious
Ryan should wear his glasses more often
Yeah
*okay I actually came for shane's surprised face at the beginning but what the-* I've been scammed y'all

that glasses bit has me cracking up....
and there are also some damn good theories presented here! ! good work everyone i love this channel
I agree with the bois that these reenactments were the spoopiest. The rest of them for other episodes have all been very good and only had small parts that were extra creepy and unsettling whereas the reenactments for this ep. - while also being very good- made my skin crawl a bit.
