Just a heads up for people wanting to buy the razer, it will cancel your directional inputs bc if the micro switches. This can be an issue in games like SFV or where you’re holding down back and trying to do motion inputs while doing so, you’ll either get hit or won’t get your motion inputs at all. I imagine it’s a nightmare for charge characters too, but for NRS players this shouldn’t be an issue since block doesn’t require holding back/down-back
Great video. I was actually considering the Razer one, but then I saw this review and you saved me a big price tag. I play charge characters, mainly bison and sliding my thumb from back to forward for scissor kicks and psycho blasts would be impossible with the disc dpad.
Yeah I just returned mine. Got it as a refurb on Amazon for only 30 bucks so not a bad deal. It felt really nice and I loved the clicky D Pad. I play DBFZ and although there aren't really any charge moves it's impossible to super jump on it. That even trying to block low is insanely difficult

I wish the gaming world would eliminate the term "Pad" from gaming terminology, and I have no idea how except to start here I suppose. I dont even know where everyone started using the term. If you didnt notice, he used the word twice in two different uh... Contexts. He calls it a "Fighting-pad" and the "D-Pad", do you see the lunacy in what hes got going on? What is a pad? A pad is well, a DIRECTIONAL PAD, a Dance Pad, and well..... A Maxipad. Eh.... So gamers want to refer to what they game on to a womens sanitary.... I digress. Look, lets clarify this here and now: Look at the front of a SEGA Genesis console where you have your two front inputs, what is that called? CONTROLLER 1 and CONTROLLER 2 port. Look in the users manuals. Even Nintendo calls theirs a Controller. Where "Pad" comes in is the Directional singular button which is actually called THE D-Pad or the DIRECTIONAL PAD. The rest of the device is called a CONTROLLER with a layout of buttons. What you use for issuing commands for your television is a REMOTE CONTROL. Therefore, a Gaming Controller is NEVER referred to as a remote either, though I never really hear that much BUT this GAMEPAD term needs to be scrubbed from out terminology. I think when and if I resume my TH-cam Channel, Im gonna have to address this on a bigger scale and with more ears but, even from the beginning of time, its been called a controller. The Atari started using the JOYSTICK 🕹️ because it was just that, a variation of the arcade joystick, but you can hear in his speech he cant differentiate the two as easy. Fighting Pad and Pad.... What???? So the WHOLE device is a CONTROLLER and that 4-Directional button or 8-Directional Button is the D-pad. Alright, now that our terminology is clear, on with it.
bro just said a d-pad would be good for smash 💀
It would be technically possibly with a modifier button to switch between tilt and smash. The missing c stick would hurt tho

I dream about a 6-boutons pad with a gamecube stick: the gc stick is heavier and this octogone shape helps a lot for special moves.
Also, did anyone try the neogeo mini pad? I would like an opinion about its stick.
So you want a neo Geo CD stick inside a model 2 Sega Saturn controller
Do any of them still have vibration?
No fight pads for ps5?😪
Can I use the Razer Raion on pc for emulators 16/32 bits ?
Hori fightpad R2 button i think is very good for MK11 and do it fawless defense.
Algum desses controles funciona em Box Android?
You’re a gamer too! This is awesome!
can you change the R2 on any of these from the face button to a shoulder button? I dont wanna use overhand grip for MK1 when I need to hit R2 to enhance a move
I do this in m30
just got the hori fighting pad and the dpad form ps4 is actually better what a shame.
Hi dear I am thinking of buying powera fusion vs Hori fc.
What do recommend.. I am leaning. More for fusion? What do you think
@@imohbalu 8bitdo m30 is my favorite but its not perfect I have not tried the fusion but its way better then hori fc for me
@@issacdragon3834 I noticed some negative comments about fusion dpad is very loose or will get loose and many other people also say they mess inpots because of power fusion dpad!... I honestly have no idea but noticed pro players like problemx use the hori fc?
@@imohbalu I dont like the hori at all
this control works on ps5 games?
Razer raion fightpad dpads break consistently whenever I get another replacement raion very sad, great controller, trash d pad
Great Freking content & knowledge on this vide...IM pretty darn sure U can kick my ass lol.
Quick question. Does the 8bitdo M30 come with it's own bluetooth receiver or do I need to buy that separately ? My PC doesn't have build in bluetooth.
8bitdo M30 have own bluetooth adapter but its sold separateley.
@@koper1893 i bought it, it doesn't come with a bluettoth adapter but I bought a cheap bluetooth 5.0 adapter and it works fine
@@ValHazzard it will work, it's bluetooth after all. But their adapter have few extra build-in features like ability to change modes of other controllers in similar way like 8bitdo pads do by holding select and d-pad direction for 5 seconds (for example you can pair ps or xbox controller with adapter and use it with nintendo switch in switch mode) or ability to create remap buttons profile in ultimate software.
@@koper1893 ok, thanks for telling me. First i have to decide if i even like this controller or not. I kind of like it but i just can't seem to get used to the button layout and the size of it, it's so small and the xyz buttons i find extremely small. Takes more practice i guess.
how about the fighting commander octa?
from what i've gathered, it's a great pad, while it lasts. it has major durability issues.
god i hate those slappy buttons, i bought the razer and its was so hard to press buttons
What's the best fight pad for street fighter 5?
If you are playing on PC, the 8bitdo m30 has the best dpad for half circle inputs and 6 face buttons. It's also cheap. I had the Hori commander, the dpad is not great.

What about rubber membrane , hori fightpads has not very long lives (
Seems like the rzr wouldn’t be good for charge characters or grapplers on SFV
Sorry if is so late, but, for SHMUPS which one of them is better?
Can you please make a video like this comparing PS5 vs Series X/S Dpad for fighting games?
I hate hate HATE Razer's fighting pad and the only reason they are the most expensive is because it's from an USA company. Its D-Pad is just horrible.
some ppl still think sega saturn is still king lol
hori one is the best
Light, medium and heavy*
Sega!! The best
Sega Saturn is the best ever made😎
No question ^ 🫡
Smash bros uses an analog stick*
So just a random question but how do i find the L3 and R3 buttons on those?
the l3 and r3 are binded on L1 and L2
you can change inputs in the game don't listen to him

as someone who uses the hori fighting commander, the dpad breaks within days of usage. i've gone through 3 of these.
I haven't broken mine yet...
I’ve gone through two in 3 years and the first one I thought was broken but literally just opened, cleaned it , and it works fine now. They just need to be cleaned bc the D-pad and buttons are pretty exposed. I’ve dropped em several times too on hard flooring and they both work fine. Imo best fight pad made to date in terms of layout, durability, & price. I will be trying the fusion A to test it out myself
Mine not. Only the d-pad just isn't good enough for fighting games...

M30 is hot fucking trash. Love losing a connection cause it died while playing wirelessly then switching up my buttons when I plug it in. Probably should "make sure it's charged" but its total ass that is doesnt maintain consistent button layouts when it's bluetooth vs wired. 0/10 get a hori commander
They recently released a M30 Wired for xbox and Pc
I wish the gaming world would eliminate the term "Pad" from gaming terminology, and I have no idea how except to start here I suppose. I dont even know where everyone started using the term. If you didnt notice, he used the word twice in two different uh... Contexts. He calls it a "Fighting-pad" and the "D-Pad", do you see the lunacy in what hes got going on?
What is a pad? A pad is well, a DIRECTIONAL PAD, a Dance Pad, and well..... A Maxipad. Eh.... So gamers want to refer to what they game on to a womens sanitary.... I digress.
Look, lets clarify this here and now:
Look at the front of a SEGA Genesis console where you have your two front inputs, what is that called?
So two years later, did you ever get over being a pedantic twat?
