Thanks Jae, I use to race rcs and painted a few bodies myself. I painted them from the inside though since there are meant to take a beating. Ive seen some guys paint it both ways ,inside and out side the body with the redcat lowriders. Good luck
What’s the best clearcoat that you recommend I bought the extreme lacquer the wet look clear and it just comes out sometimes. Like orange peel Really bad and horrible.
That extreme lacquer is a good product, it’s hard to say what’s going on without knowing your procedure of applying. What I suggest is after the clear dries is to wet sand it then polish. Wet sand with 2000,2500 then 3000. No you can even do a wet coat to achieve a Lowrider shine. Wet sand but skip the polish, then reapply clear and then wet sand and polish . This should help , hope I made sense
Every car is different but its not to hard if its not for show. Check out the gto build video part 1 i show how i do it on a curbside kit. Curbside meaning if i would take it to show they wont judge the undercarriage nor the engine. Now if you plan to compete in regular classes then theres more work to it, but I suggest start with curbside lowering then build up your skills. The advance lowering would almost be the like lowering a real car, so it can look realistic. Tip: do the lowering and mock up before painting
It's great to see you show your techniques, I'll be watching!✌️
Thanks, most of this you already know. I like watching paint videos , just returning the favor
