Kunos did not make a mistake, Kunos actually did the right thing by giving modding freedom. Before mods, AC was only known to a small community of hardcore simracing gamers. With the addition of mods AC became popular to a broad audience of racing fans in general. If there will be a reason for someone to purchase AC2, is the popularity of AC1. Very good, you can choose VR in content manager under graphics settings l, just make sure to set your preview monitor to something like 1920x1080 so the ui renders in a good size
Which apps do you use in your HUD? Are these in-game apps or overlays via Simhub? And which PP filter do you use? Because that is also a big factor in how the game looks graphically. 🙂
Race position, mirror ( probably forced by the server), race essentials, radar and the one on the right I don't know. The only one that needs to be downloaded is race essentials, the rest are all in the game.
I have some issues with this update. Tree leaves look pixelated when the background is the sky, it's very noticable. I hope it's a settings thing otherwise I'm jumping back to 0.205
My PC struggles to drive my old Pimax 5K+ at 1.25SS sometimes, particularly at night with weather or when there are a lot of cars. My CPU frame times are usually pretty good, even with quite a lot of cars. I can just about maintain a solid 65fps at Le Mans with ~40 cars which is my "benchmark". But I really prefer to run at 90htz. I'm looking forward to trying this later today / tomorrow and seeing if there is any great improvement - I already have Post Processing filters disabled as I don't really get any benefit from them in that headset, I tweak a little with Reshade instead.
GM, great video as always. What is the mod for the radar you had? Never seen it with cars before and I'm assuming it was a mod for the "essential" info, speed, throttle gas mileage etc. Can you share where you got that too, please
Watching this while drinking tea, because I'm too lazy to go download the latest Pure and CSP updates. The work they do is top notch and well worth the cost of a cup of coffee each month. I would play it exclusively but need rFactor2 for Kartsim pro, which is also very good but way more buggy
So as a tea drinking wheelchair user I generally turn on the PC and hope it works, so doing this is a bit confusing for me, however, I have installed Content Manager and subscribed and added my key and found the install button for the shader, but I can't find anything about Pure, how do I install that?
If I read the Patreon emails correctly there has been a major shift in CSP and PURE. It seems a new CSP feature is not compatible with PURE as it is. I believe there is a totally different version of PURE for the feature of CSP in question. It is a bit confusing so a video explaining the change and what goes with what would help.
Followed your advice. Installed pure. Great increase in FPS. However, I seem to have broken the RAIN. I can hear it, the clouds are right; there is just no visible rain. Have you tried it? Can you possibly do a guide on how to set the rain up? It worked fine previously in SOL... and I have all mods etc turned on.
For me, rain just work with Sol : change to "__Sol" as video filter (Assetto/video/post processing) and change weather style (in CSP/weather FX) to "Sol" also. And you will have rain and the appropriate clouds. It never works for me if I use Pure as video filter and Pure as weather style, to have the rain.

@@GamerMuscleVideosConveniently a sale just dropped. So I picked it up. Btw what is the differene between the shader patch install directly within content manager and the patreon one? And does pure require shader patch on or off or does it not matter?
AC looks very nice with those shading & lighting mods but it's something that Kunos should've put into the game at the beginning along with weather effects. About 5 years ago I had CSP & Sol working fine with content manager. I installed everything again a week ago and now I get a Windows system error when load a race from the content manager on the same 64-bit PC??? It's too much hassle to go through to fix it when there are so many other Sims that have dynamic time of day etc out of the box. If it was a G-Motor game I properly would have fix it already but that Content Shaders Patch is a Different beast. I like AC only for the free roam town tracks, the rally stages and the unique street circuits and 80's UK cars like the Escort XR3i ( Pure Class). Everything else I have in other sims. Now I play AC on a 32-bit OS because it runs better for me for some reason. It's the same with Dirt Rally. It runs completely smooth with zero frame drops unlike my 64-bit OS. If I can't run AC CSP in 64-Bit then there is no point. Also there some cars and tracks that won't load without the CSP. It's totally stupid that content won't load without a 3rd party mod. Some of the mod tracks have amazing lighting even without CSP in my opinion.
If you get the latest pure from peter it has an uninstall file you can run and it will remove sol for you, it also had a install file for pure in there too.
My one issue with PURE from the footage ive seen of it is that it tries to be photo real and not eye real. And because of it has some visual effects that are kind of overblown like contrasts and exposure. We dont really see this "sun blindness" effect like this irl, moreso it would be an initial flash and then it would get subdued by our eyes ability to adapt to new light conditions. Not saying that PURE is bad, just different
AC2 should take a deep hard look at the state of the AC mod community, do everything they can to put all the Content Manager stuff in the base game and support a good modding system from release. If they can do this they should have a winner. I assume they will have all the high tech stuff like a 128 point tire model or similar and all the track detail and conditions. Although, if they decide to follow the gaming industries latest trends and release a half finished pile of hot garbage for full price and with a DLC road map announced before release, the first Assetto Corsa will continue to live a long life. Do they plan to keep supporting ACC for ranked racing of will they include that in AC2 instead?
You can disable the sun blinding effect in Pure config ( Shaders > sunblinding > uncheck "shaders.sunblinding.active" ) and install CSP ( extension and dwrite.dll) manually to the assettocorsa root folder. - Skullzyyyy

Maybe Kunos will go back to this engine and includes all those shaders...
It's a hard job for AC2 team, because those mods are a blowing mind, i don't know what will be and what we are expecting for
Little Problem: after updating everything i cant rain get to work. The sound is there, but no visible rain.
You need patreon shader patch release
If Sol is now Pure does it do good to clean install everything or does it just involve deleting some folders?
If you get the latest pure from peter it has an uninstall file you can run and it will remove sol for you, it also had a install file for pure in there too.
Pure got "uninstall sol, install pure" batch script file, so its done automatically with installer.
To go even further there are 8k grass mods 8k gravel texture mods and trust me it makes a difference.
You can tune sun blindness effect level to a better place. AC rules.
Where?
My one issue with PURE from the footage ive seen of it is that it tries to be photo real and not eye real. And because of it has some visual effects that are kind of overblown like contrasts and exposure. We dont really see this "sun blindness" effect like this irl, moreso it would be an initial flash and then it would get subdued by our eyes ability to adapt to new light conditions. Not saying that PURE is bad, just different
Then again, it could also depend on the PP filter and one could set the settings in PURE to be more eye real, just like SOL can
APP is the most realistic PP filter. I agree Pure PP looks little oversaturated. Or guy making it has really bad monitor.
Sorry to ask, what's the formula car you're driving?
This was the tatus F4 car from in the game.
@@GamerMuscleVideos I'm sorry to disturb you, I own all of the DLC's but I can't find the car
Fabulous thank you 👏👏👏 liked and I do subscribe from a loose leaf builders Tea man 😵💫
How have you NOT been on CSP 0.2.1?
What radar are you using
So basically we don't need SOL if we download Pure?
Did you have an issue with the sun being too bright ?
You can disable the sun blinding effect in Pure config ( Shaders > sunblinding > uncheck "shaders.sunblinding.active" ) and install CSP ( extension and dwrite.dll) manually to the assettocorsa root folder. - Skullzyyyy
@@GamerMuscleVideos Cheers. It improved it by 50% 👍
get something called reshade and use a custom script makes the game look even better
