I rarely use dk weight yarn, so I don't have many color options laying around. I went with worsted weight acrylic yarn (size 4) and a 3.5mm hook, 21 cm bauble so had, and this pattern fit perfectly! A lovely tutorial!
This is a great way to reuse thrifted ornaments that are past their usage or even the leftover ones in the retail shops come January (those can be bought for 90% off!). Doesn't even matter too much what color the ornaments are. Also, great way to use up scrap yarn. What a wonderful win-win. TFS!
Great tutorial. Your instructions are so clear to me. Our only wool shop just closed so I will have to look around for yarn. These look like great Christmas gifts for when I visit friends.
Have you a pattern for a smaller bauble cover? I have lots of unwanted baubles and lots of DK wool . Even using a 3.5 needle the cover ended up way too big . Thank you

So pretty! And not that difficult! Thank you for sharing! 🤗
Thank you! I agree it’s a simple when you know how 😊
Very nice!👍
MY bauble is 9 3/4 inches or 24.5 cm. How do I go about making one to fit?
Did you ever figure out how to adjust for a larger bauble?
Excellent tutorial, very clear.
How do I make it bigger?
You would need to add more increase rounds before the final round. Is there a specific size you're looking to create?
Thank you very much, you are a dear!
It is 12 inches.
I would suggest 2 further increases as that will add an inch to each edge of each half of the cover.
Thank you very much! Will do!!!
I'm curious as to why you don't fasten off after Round 4.
As the stitch is worked into the stitches rather than the space between the clusters, I found it easier to do a normal colour change.
Hi I know u say a 18 cm bauble for the diameter but what size bauble would I need.. 6cm 7 cm etc.. looking to buy some. Thanks xx
Hi 👋 the size would be a 6cm bauble 😊

Not yet! But, it's almost time for some new bauble patterns :)
@@CosyRosieCrochet I’ll wait. Thank you.
how do u know if it will be the right size? what if u need to make them bigger or smaller
This pattern is designed to fit a standard 8cm bauble. Is there a specific size you're looking to recreate the pattern for?
I have the same issue, i used dk yarn and 3.5 hook and its still too big for the 18cm bauble. Any suggestions? Thanks
I’d recommend trying a smaller hook 😊
Hey. What size bauble do you use ? X
Literally the first thing she talked about. 18cm around.
Can see she stated 18cm that's the circumference of the bauble I'm trying to buy some and cant find them, they come in 6 7 8 cm etc xx
I can't quite grasp the concept of the magic ring, if I make a slip stitch, how many chains do I chain up? Thank you
It can be a challenge that magic ring. If you make a chain of 4 and slip stitch, you can work into the centre.
@@CosyRosieCrochet thank you 💕
