I love that you didn’t give up on the sb2 and got the right fit, I also am a size 11 but have a wider foot and opted for an 11.5 and every mile with this shoe is pure magic
US size 11.5 is 290cm instead of the usual 295cm but it was still longer than other shoes I have. SB2 fits perfectly and no issues. Everyone has different shapes of feet so best to try it on. Reviews are great but dont always take the fit review to the heart.
That’s super interesting considering the cm of the upper. Can help explain a lot of potential fit issues. You’re right-everyone’s experience is different. Thank you!
Thank you for the three reviews of this shoe and not giving up on it after the first run. I had the same fit experience. Size 11 (my normal size) was tight and uncomfortable in the toe box. I ordered an 11 1/2 and the fit is perfect. I did notice a difference in the foam between the SB2 Paris and follow on version (bold magenta/pink glo). The Paris was very stiff out of the box. The follow on version felt softer, more responsive, and reminiscent of the SB1. All that said, I love the shoe. Any recommendations on a plated shoe to pair it with?
Hey there! Thank you. I really wanted to get the fit right with this guy SB2. I’m glad I did because it’s a really fun shoe. I did run a bit in the Paris and now this icy blue colorway and I don’t know if I feel a difference per say but both felt like bricks out the box but opened up and ripened almost immediately after a few miles. Bounce bounce bounce. As far as plated shoes? I don’t own any of the ASICS carbon shoes but imagine the metaspeed edge/sky would make the most sense. That said, I’ve got the adios pro 4 on my radar as I’m quite interested in that shoe (January)
Thanks for the review, I was thinking of buying this shoe and nothing here has dissuaded me. I like the idea of a non-plate shoe for my long runs and maybe even for longer races.
Absolutely. It’s the non plate plus the foam really. The upper is next level. It feels like it’ll survive a thousand miles. For the price, it’s not a bad package. Pricey but might be all a person needs. Just consider the fit about the toes (that was my original beef) once that’s sorted then it’s a fever dream
I'm a beginner runner 5'10 74kgs lean. Currently using the 1080v12s and looking for an upgrade. This or the 1080v14 as a daily trainer/beater shoes? The v14s are a little cheaper but If the Asics are worth for a little more then I'll take them
Wow great question. You like the 1080 and the 14 is really nice and cheaper than the sb2. I’d say check out the sb2. Especially as a new runner. I think the SUPERBLAST is really a good all around shoe that shouldn’t take much to get into it. The build quality makes me think it will last a really long time. Maybe give it a spin. Consider sizing a half size up is what happened for me and a handful of others. Good luck
Aha nice! Not nitpick at all. Redwing boots are made about an hour away from me. Great boots! I figured started speaking in metric as well as US as I appreciate my global audience 😊
Yes this foam combo takes a good bit to break in. It’s actually good out of the box but really starts to open up as things move along. It reminds me of one of the mattresses that come vacuum sealed then after breathing for a bit feels great 😆

Thank you so much. This one was worth the effort! I’m happy yours fit well. It is a magic shoe 😊👍
Love the color way.
Yes! Like a shiny peppermint blue. Super clean

...and as soon as I retire the OG SB I'm picking up the latest and greatest.
Right on! Yup you have the OG and it’s still going strong I take it. Bodes well for the quality and longevity of these shoes 😊
@RunningDadAdventures Only 157 mi on the OG after the 18 I put on it this morning. I'm happy if it goes 500 mi. At that point, we'll be up to the SB4.

The label inside my Redwing boots state us9 and uk8. So a UK size corresponds to one size down from it's US equivalent! Sorry to nitpick! 😅

using this shoe for 2 weeks now. feels like cheating lol
This ff turbo+ is a dream foam for sure
Hi don’t you find this shoe midsole feels like a brick 😂 The midsole is vey hard and takes time to break in
Is this Yowana’s burner account 😂iykyk the first ten minutes feel soft but it then feels firm. I can definitely understand the brick comparison 😅
@@CarlosSoto-re2oj NB 4 to me is a better shoe than SB 2, I found SB 2 is more fun to rock

I like yowana but don’t get the reference 😔 at any rate the foam ripens nicely
@@RunningNPAdventures he’s a known Superblast hater. 😂
