Hey Desireé! As a fellow graduate I'd love to touch point on the whole video in the order of the video.
    1) I definitely couldn't agree more with having prerequisites coming into the program and understanding Anatomy because everything you learn full circles back time and time again 😅 You provided amazing 2D learning material, however do you have any 3D learning material aside from seeing a physical cadaver?
    2) To understand learning style is important at this stage of schooling. How were you able to translate your auditory and visual learning styles into studying methods when it comes to tests?
When it comes to learning styles for the hands-on portion would you be able to touch base of the different types of styles when it comes to the practical portion of the program?
    3) Media is a goldmine of free material and content these days I definitely couldn't agree more with encouraging everyone to do your own research for the want to grow. What are your personal favorite medias that YOU used to help you become a better RMT?
    4) Definitely a game changer dependent on where you practice!
    5) School is great because it provides free CO-OP for students to get a feel of all different aspects of massage which helps you to choose which path as an RMT you want to go. I liked how you worded that simply put all types of massage are viable and respected from relaxation to deep tissue to rehabilitation.
Overall awesome video and looking forward to the next one! Hope this helps!

Hi David! this is SUCH A GREAT COMMENT!
1 - Yes! I would recommend 3D anatomical models - They are particularly great when learning bone anatomy. You'll use it A TON! Amazon has some great options.
2 - I think all learning styles are able to be utilized in some capacity! What I did is create my own questionaries when studying a topic, self quiz myself (as if I was writing a test with fun colours) and then use my questionnaire to study. Then I would go to study group sessions with friends and ask them to quiz me, LOL! that's how I utilized my visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learning styles.
3 - The most useful forms of media for me was instagram. I follow a ton of great RMTs & LMTs on there. I will leave my favourite accounts in the description box if you want to check them out.
Thank you so much for your comment and watching the video. Hope this helps!

@@TheRMT_effect Hi Desireé, thanks for the reply!
Will definitely check out Amazon to find 3D anatomical models that work for me.
I completely agree with what you said regarding learning styles and think what you did was quite interesting and makes a lot of sense. Bullet point cards is a great way to self quiz.
Ill also be sure to check what you have posted in your account below. Thanks again for all your help 😊

Hi Des! I’m starting massage school at CCMH in nova scotia in august and was wondering if you could make a video breaking down how you study, what you would bring to school in your bag, how you kept notes (hard copy, digital) how many hours you spend studying a night, etc! Really love your videos and it’s hard to find videos on those studying massage therapy in Canada😊

do you have any recommendations on prep courses to take for the OSCE and MCQ? I am still in college (Humber) for massage but i want to feel prepared as possible. what tips would you give for students who try to do their best in college but suffer from test anxiety? its overwhelming to think that you only have 3 times to do these tests if not you need to go back to school
Would love to hear your opinion

    Hi Des,
Which is the most difficult area in RMT program should I prepare before I get in this program?
I want to study in this field but too nervous and scared that I could not achieve/ succeed it.

I was an international student, so I paid a higher fee than domestic students . It was around 13k - 14k per year.

Which college in ontario is best to become a massage therapist

Hi Lea, I am not familiar with all the schools in Ontario, but in Toronto I know that Humber, Centennial, Sutherland Chan & CCMH are quite popular. I personally went to Centennial College and loved it! It prepared me very well. That said, at the end of the day success is very dependent on the Individual and how much effort they make. I hope this helps. Best of luck! 😊

@@TheRMT_effect Can you do a video on life in massage school and tips to make life and studying easier there.
Also what do you learn there. And I hope there is no math there....

Hi Lea! That’s such a great video idea. I will definitely add this to my list. If you live in Ontario or any other province where massage is regulated you will learn anatomy, physiology, basic pathology, basic business, hands on skill, orthopaedic assessment, etc. In the US the curriculum will vary depending on the state as far as I know . The school should have the curriculum available on their website if you need more information. I hope this helps ! 😊
