    The volume knob is located there for the front passenger to access.
    The driver already has steering wheel volume controls.

      That makes sense. I'm so used to reaching for the knob on a lot of cars, as it's just easier in a lot of cases. Definitely one to get used to using the steering wheel on. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!

    The Q5 is sporty enough, handles well and is plenty quick enough. I had a 2018 and came back this year for the SQ5

      For sure. I was surprised at how well it drove, especially when pushed a little bit. Congrats on the SQ5!

    To clarify, those are not fog lights in the lower section of the bumper as you pointed out, they're radar sensors, the fog lights are built into the headlights and cast sideways for this model.

    Adaptive cruise and side assist are not standard, they are part of the driver assistance package

    • @GearboxCarReviews
      @GearboxCarReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It may be different in other markets, but in the US both are standard for the 2023 model year

      @@GearboxCarReviews definitely not in UK. They wanted another £825.

    • @GearboxCarReviews
      @GearboxCarReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah, yeah I imagine there are a number of differences between the US and UK versions. It does seem like side assist at the very least should be standard on a luxury car in any market. Hopefully they update that one there soon.

    The mirrors on my 2023 s line q5 fold automatic

  • @AshakJoice

    Do they come with adaptive damping suspension ? ( Few websites have mentioned so )

    • @GearboxCarReviews
      @GearboxCarReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can option air suspension in the 55 TFSI, otherwise it's just standard suspension.

    This was a nice review, but too general. He should have indicated what trim level the car was and what options packages were included. Instead it makes people think that all of the features mentioned are included when you get any Q5.

    • @GearboxCarReviews
      @GearboxCarReviews  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the feedback! I do try to keep it somewhat general, since if I focus down to the specific trim, then it really shrinks the audience quite a bit. And this way it gives you an idea of what sorts of features are available on the car for when you go to spec yours and you can compare available features with other cars' available features. That being said, I do usually try to at least mention the trim and which things are add-ons, but I definitely need to nail down my consistency. I think I just need to make a checklist or something. This particular car is a 2023 Q5 45 TFSI with Prestige Package, and the wheels, cargo cover, and puddle lights add-ons.

    I test drove a Q5 today, and I noticed the seat belt panel was blocking my view. It seems wider than most cars. I'm tall at 6'1 - is it just me or did anyone else notice this when they try to look at on coming traffic?

      Didn‘t notice that much, im 6‘1 too, but what i noticed is that the backmirror is somewhat blocking the view

    Im trading in my 2020 Tesla Model S for the 2022 Q5 Tecknik... bad move?

    • @GearboxCarReviews
      @GearboxCarReviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on how it fits into your life, having electric vs gas. Personally I'd rather have the Q5, but they each have their merits depending on your situation.

    • @mohq9183
      @mohq9183 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@GearboxCarReviews the only reason I'm giving it up is because the model S has a lot of cabin noise which I didn't experience on the Q5. I want a comfortable smooth ride. Both if them provide that but the Tesla is annoying and noisy. And it's only gotten noisier over time.

    • @GearboxCarReviews
      @GearboxCarReviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ah, yeah with EVs the road noise and wind noise are always super apparent because of the lack of engine noise. But the ride is almost always smoother than a gas car. Hyundai/Genesis do a solid job of blocking out road noise in their EVs, but most of the rest of them just have more noticeable noise. If you want smooth and quiet first and foremost, Lexus does those things especially well in their gas cars (haven't driven their EV yet). But the Q5 is definitely surprisingly good at being smooth, quiet, and still fun.
