    I also chose the 300T being that I was named after Dirk Pitt. I chose the aquamarine version and I couldn't be any more happy with the selection. Thank you for pointing out these distinctive variances among the different series.

    This is the best Doxa review I've seen. Thank you. I looks like Doxa has upgraded the clasp recently, others I've seen have a stamped clasp.

    Received my 300T Pro tonight - purchased factory direct. I've been admiring the orange dial for the past 15 mins while watching your review. Seeing it in the metal, it's really surprising how much that orange grabs your attention. It's better than I imagined. I also enjoy how the light catches the black lacquered hands and polished bezel. It punches well above it's weight class in terms of finishing. However, I am somewhat let down by the feel and sound of the detents of the bezel operation. To me it's on the gritty side and sounds muted and unremarkable. Maybe I'm partial to the sound Rolex's diving bezels. Other than that, it's a heck of a value proposition; and almost as iconic as the Submariner or Sea-Dweller. Keep those reviews coming! BTW, mine came equipped with a HRV :D

      Grats on the pickup! Whoa, HRV really? Is it the 1200? I agree the bezel isn't great, but the feel has grown on me and it's precise enough.

      Chillin' wit' WatchYeah really surprised to find one on there. DOXA’s webpage only makes mention about the OG Conquistador having it, not the reissue. Go figure. My case back also has different wordings: “DOXA SUB 300T, serial #, Helium Valve, Patented Bezel 3505808, 120 ATM, Swiss Made”

    This is one of the few 300t’s that doesn’t have a helium escape valve. So it’s fairly rare. I bought it new from Doxa and love to. Very classic watch from the era of scuba.

    My wrist is 6.7 inches and pretty ovular rather than round, so I'm pretty sure I can pull this off without it quite reaching bone to bone like my 114060 does. Love the design and vintage tool feel it brings. Can't wait to try it on, hopefully no return necessary due to my below average wrist size!

    Nice review. I just got the Doxa 1500T in black face with black rubber strap (the "Sharkhunter"). I wanted the orange face, but the orange strap that comes with it is just too much orange! I wish they would offer the orange face with the black rubber strap. If anybody wants to trade with me, let me know. I do like the watch, and the brand. The strap is nicely molded to come down and around the wrist at an angle, so it wears very compactly on my smaller wrist. The stainless steel is definitely, noticeably heavier than my titanium Ball Deep Quest, but the strap is super comfy. I think I got lucky that my wrist size is perfect for the hole pattern of the strap (I don't like metal bracelets). Thanks for the great video! Go Doxa!

    Strange that the 300T was found to wear better than the 1200T, as the bracelet on the 1200 is not tapered, so it will not protrude out from the end links/case but hinge straight down so on my wrist it wear better than the 300T, but we are all different! My 1200T was made in 2011 and seems like it`s better made than the newer 300T, bezel is tight etc. Not much in it, but I still prefer the 1200. That it is a limited edition is also a good thing.

    Flat crystal is nicer, more functional. I would go for the 300T. I wish the no deco scale would be in meters, not in feet. Or even better, do away with the no deco scale, and have a bezel insert with minutes only, with larger typography.

    • @ChillinwitWatches
      @ChillinwitWatches  ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally agree on the flat crystal, I much prefer them as well. I think dumping the no deco would take away a quirk that part of the brands identity, but I feel you!

      @@ChillinwitWatches For diving those number on the bezel are really small. I go spearfishing, no scuba, but I can see in the rough ocean, with a mask in front of your eyes, having very legible type and design is useful. I have the Seestern Sub 600 homage to the Doxa, I like the watch, but the bezel is hard to read when I am running. So I would welcome a change. Maybe the ceramic insert allows sharper type. I understand tradition, but sometimes the past can be improved. I love the orange minute hand, BTW

      @@ChillinwitWatches "bebe"? (not native english speaker, sorry). I don't wear any dress watches if thats what you mean. my bb58 (daily) is 11.9mm and that actually feels pretty thin. You'd think that the extra 2 mills wouldn't make that much of a difference... It's a pain that there are no dealers here so I can't really go look and see for myself. Great video btw! :)

      That's a good question. How do you even define luxury brand?

      @@ChillinwitWatches Well something that has a price premium to create a higher brand prestige??

      @@shivenreddy5328 I wouldn’t necessarily consider it a “luxury” brand. However, it is a solidly built tool watch and it’s a very iconic piece historically.
