They learned the hard way, unfortunately. Starr basically stole from NE because they made very little off of all the records they sold when they were with Streetwise Records and MCA. New Edition made most of their money in the early years going on tour and making appearances. They survived the business because they have a strong following and lots of fans.
This choreography is TIGHT!! I don't think a lot of people really understand how HARD it really is to master the art of singing and then dancing together as a group... MUCH RESPECT TO THESE GUYS and the all the other singers out there who CONTINUE to put on WELL CHOREOGRAPHED shows!!

Yep Brooke Payne was and still is an excellent choreographer. I listened to a radio interview he did from 2008 and as it turns out, he actually did some choreography for New Kids On the Block as well. He was asked how he felt when Maurice Starr created them after New Edition left his label and surprisingly, he didn't have a problem with it at all.
