- Absolutely BRILLIANT! I love seeing Modded 1/24 SCX24 1967 Chevrolet C10 4WD Truck Brushed RTR (Get one here: bit.ly/3jMgVE1) trail trucks!! They are always so cool to work on, and a ton of fun to have in ones own scale garage. These trucks are very capable and are able to take a beat down and keep on driving! Even falling from a ridiculous "scale" height .. these trucks can keep on going. Rather inexpensive and usually within budget, these tiny trucks can be built up to win the day! Wow, the comment about having demos at hobby shops is spot on. Nothing major just a small sample or rental option.
I got a story of me sliding into a bowl of steep hills. I couldnt make a tight switchback turn and the mud didn’t give me any traction to back up and realign so instead of accidentally sliding down the hill sideways I decided to drive down straight off the trail down into the bottom of the bowl. Once I was down I could get up the hill anywhere, so I ended up have to reverse halfway up the hill behind and gas it forward and try and get up the hill on the other side of the bowl. Took me 3 tries and I finally made it up but I lost all my antifreeze. Had no service and had to hike to service to ask a buddy to bring some water. Fun memory and made it super memorable.
the greatest thing I have heard is "Plaster Paris!" I have a course I made with foam and explanding foam but it is to slippery for my truck. That simple suggestion is going to change everything for my friends and I. Thank you! Thanks You!!!
Nice course! Just ordering another two (wife's pick-red Deadbolt and B-17 Betty for me) to add to the K10 Chevy and JLU Jeep. We had the grandkids over last weekend and the living room turned into a furniture course thanks to a few pine boards. The five year old rocks these RC trucks. Thanks for the new addiction Aaron.

I did 4ws on my scx24 about a year ago. If you pull out the pc board you can soldier wires to it to extend the 3rd channel to the back of the transmitter ( where a scroll wheel on on a spektrum is) and use a 1PDT momentarily center off rocker switch. I added a 10K potentiometer to the common wire to be able to trim the center of the rear steering. Also you have to swap the rear shocks to the outside of the frame rails for rear servo clearance.
the comment at 4:20 is exactly why I have the RC car I have right now. I wanted to get a short course truck because, I mean, it looks like fun! But there aren't any tracks around to run it on. I like to race things against other people, so it was unfortunate that there aren't any places. However, at the local Hobbytown, there is a Mini-Z track right as you walk into the store. So I walked in, asked what they race on the track, and bought a Mini-Z! I've been enjoying it very much, and I was willing to get it because there is a place in the area to race it. Great community of people racing, as well.

Modifying these trucks are cheaper than a real one..I love it guys, keep on keeping on..I love watching these truck with real diffs. But a sound kit for the motor would kick it up to eleven..

What a great place nice 1/24 scale course
It surprises me you haven’t opened your own hobby shop that has these similar courses to rent. You have so much following you’d easily be able to retire through a business with your name while putting out great content without roughing your back up. Thanks for featuring other rc hobbiest like yourself.
I always felt that it would have made my shows insincere, and too much like I was pushing my store instead of the hobby... So I chose to entertain everyone instead. Thankfully there have been a few viewers over the years who have stuck with me making this possible...! Thank you

$10 Canadian, the video doesn't do the size of this course any justice. It's well worth the small amount of $ especially since Afro can supply you with a crawler if you don't have your own.
He charged me 10 bucks to drive it until my batteries wore out
Afro's course is so much fun. You can spend a couple hours on it, no problem. So rad.

I’m only a ferry ride away as I live on the coast so if I’m even out that way I’m gonna check the place out and probably bring home a nice rc vehicle, no joke

AWESOME VIDEO! Great hobby shop! Thank you for showcasing them, they are doing something awesome to help promote the hobby by giving people the opportunity to try something out before dropping their hard earned money for a crawler. Granted it is the SCX24's not a 1:10 but that also takes up a lot more space.
Back in 2008 or 2009 I went to a Hobbytown USA that had a very small course set up with the Losi Micro Crawler. That's what got me into the crawler/scaler scene. I've had too much going on lately to buy another scaler, but I'm thinking about getting 3 SCX24s (one for me, one for each of my daughters) for Christmas. As far as I've seen, they're the most bang for your buck.

That is a great little shop there is a shop about 75 miles from where I live that built a 1/10 scale crawling area plus they have multiple racetracks 👍🏼👍🏼
