- These trucks are "inexpensive", (under $120 each), RED Deadbolt 4WD bit.ly/36SZ3Uf It has been several days since I have done an update video on the New Indoor 4x4 Track and Obstacles. My recent videos prior to this were pre-recorded and I had a few days to improve and build on some ideas. I built a Teeter-totter (Sea-Saw) as some know it - and made the swing point just off center so it resets itself. The mud pit is slowly getting dialled in, although in this video.. kind of let me down. I will continue to work on its design. The Red Deadbolt on the other hand KICKED some SERIOUS BUTT on the trail, giving me a great time on course.. although, I didn't keep my time.. (or keep track of my Penalties!) I wonder who will post the correct answer first? hah!

First off, I would like to say congrats on your back! so glad to see it better! I know it's been good for a while, but better late than never!
NOW, the result is in...
5:52 was your time!! (if you count the arguable gate at the start) if not, than 5:42
let me explain...
you started at 3:00 exactly and ended at 8:07. 8:07-3:00=5:07
you have to add the gates- 3 gates, so 3x10=30secs.
next, you add the hands of God in, which is 3 so, 3x5=15
30+15=45secs
5:07+45=5:52
it's 5:42 if the arguable flag doesn't count (just subtract 10)

The best thing about these little buggers is you don't even need dirt (although its more fun in the dirt) Throw the couch pillows around with some towels and the course can have infinate possibilities.
Loving these 1/24 scale, course is getting crazy. So much in a small space.

I appreciate now how much work goes into building/making an indoor mini coarse now 😊 it's super challenging.. I've built 5to8 larger wooden features like hanging bridges and log climbs.. One of the best things to build : cut lots of branch's the same size usually 35cm long then screw them to to long 2/4's in random pattern like a ladder, this makes a great obstacle and can be turned into many different obstacles like a see-saw😀
You should add a water crossing with slippery rocks

I'm almost certain Deadbolt is a International Scout rep, amazing 1/24th Course!!! The whole build process has been a hoot to watch! You an your buddy going rounds!
I personally own a scout 80. This is the reason I bought the deadbolt.
After the mud section you need running water section (with a little pump) with rocks, may be to climb, so you have fun and wash the tires....
And mow it's time for some green, I mean real little trees not bonsai but.....well done for mud section and slippery bridges...Bravo! Ciao

Just replaced burnt out motor in my Deadbolt. Whilst I love the little car, I needed to pull so much apart to get to the motor. Including a screw behind the spur gear!!! Felt like I was working on a BMW. .. Room for improvement!
I hope this series hangs around for a bit. I have just received my deadbolt and am already making all sorts of mods to it. I used the extra long arms it came with and installed in the front position, made a Y link out of 2 of the links removed from the front that mount at the servo. Moved all upper shock mounts further in on the rail for better articulation. I also replaced the ball sockets with small silicone wire Insulation for less sloppiness in the movements and gives more friction on the 4 links for better control. I also lowered the body by flipping the back hinge upside down and removing both plastic trays. also removed the entire top cage on the body to get a much lower center of gravity. Removed front bumper and installed lights into the head light area of the body itself by drilling holes just smaller than the LED's. Also am using a HV7.6v 600mah lipo up front moving the ESC /RX behind the motor between the frame rails. All this significantly IMPROVES handling Without adding any extra wheel weights or diff tires. I do have some ALum Racelines Coming in with a set of the super sticky kevlar GoodYears. That's pretty much all you need to.
I never like just throwing $ at something, most major things are all trial and error of items most RC folks have laying around anyway. Enjoy.

Even the stock SCX24 is pretty capable. It really performs better with some mods. Particularly weight down low.
After intense viewing, concentration and way to much math I have determined the answer to your question. The answer is = GOOD! Keep them coming Medic!!! LoL
WOW what a feeling it is when I saw the teeter totter like I suggested! I am sure others did as well. AWESOME!!! You need a FPV truck!!!!! A 1/24th scale TTC would be interesting!
Every time I go in my local hobby shop I eyeball three of these 1/24 trucks. After watching your latest videos, I gotta go grab one! They really are sweet little rigs! Love the inspiration your videos provide!
Fantastic, have been a fan of the channel and subscriber for a while now and got me back into RC and building a trail truck which my son then took over and now this Christmas looking at a pair of these SCx24's so we have two the same (different colours) to run in the house and garden over winter.

I like you humour, it is funny. Why is this second channel? Is there any wrong with main one? The table improved a lot, looks awesome, there are more and more details🤟. I personally do not like videos about any race, because if the time matters everyone bouncing around the track with "unscale" driving behaviour. I could see more slow mo., Body and tire flex etc. with some music.👌 Still awesome one handed driving while recordig with camera I could see some sec behind a scene shots, about you while you are doing this.👍
It’s fun to see you change it up and drive. A plan would be have your UT-gold crew come in for a drinking and driving comp, of course they would have dds for their ride home in their 1:1s much silliness would ensue. Thanks for all the entertainment

Put a rc body in the dirt right after the mud so you have to drive a up a stick spot

I'd like to see you reduce to speed on the vehicles, its much more realistic when their crawlers. Maybe give them some lift and softer suspension and deflated tyres.
I wish I could afford to get 2 of these badass crawlers to get me and my daughter into the hobby. For now I will just have to enjoy the hobby through you on RCsparks tv.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the deadbolt because I thought a regular model of a bronco would be better but it’s definitely growing on me. I feel $110 burning a hole in my pocket again 😂
I got to get me one of these little trucks now... Have you done any mods to you tiny trucks yet? I know Hot Racing makes a lot of aluminum upgrades for them and RCWD also makes a few good ones.
The course looks fantastic hopefully one day we’ll see the mini TTC since the Covid crap stoped the Big one!

Are the 1/24 trucks hobby grade? If so are they hard to find upgrades or parts for? They look fun but I haven't pulled the trigger on one yet due to these concerns.

Happy to see this. The red Deadbolt was my very first trail rig ever so seeing being wheeled by an expert is a treat and half. Mine just spends its time climbing hills. Time to up my game I guess.
Medic, you need a sand trap... Contain it in a container like you do the mud pit only smaller or oddly shaped... Loving these 24th scale trucks
Just ordered 3 of the axial 24th scales 1 for myself and 1 for each of my sons for Christmas. I also intend to order one or 2 more for some children of friends who have a hard time affording these types of things but those kids deserve them and more people to enjoy the hobby with 😁

What about using back up deductions like they do in some TTC? Like you get X amount of back ups and after you use them, you get a 5 sec addition.
I do some challenges where instead of timing it you have to try and get as few as points as possible like rc golf. So the way you get points is that you go a different direction. So if you where going forwards and you have to go in reverse that would be one point, and when you go forward again that would be another point. So you would want to make the most out of that direction that you are going so you might have to go up things backwards.
Yes I miss loading wars and TH-cam gold but this mini rock crawling thing is just as great and he fact we have gotten steady videos threwout he week is amazing sometimes waiting a week is just to long lol but this has so many ways it can be shaped and formed in looking forward to the tree bridge or tree house or even river you have to get past so I’m supper glad that even with all this crazy stuff going on we are still able to have some fun and enjoy life even if it is for ten minutes at a time

For one of the obstacles you should make a skinny bridge that goes around the entire course and if you fall off you have to restart at the beginning of the bridge
What about making two identical trails side by side, and do a drag race type event, where the first truck to make it to the finish line wins
