The one thing that I will never forget about ringing here is the boom of the tenor. Its bloody magnificent! Just stood watching the first lot of bells going into rounds gave you shivers but then the 10th, 11th and 12th came in and it was just jaw dropping. Most people say that York Minster are the best ring of bells in the world - I think that they are a bit overrated. I get why people would say that, but these, to me, are a way better than York. Even though it was tricky to get used to ringing at the pace of 12 bells, it was still a brilliant experiance!
Cantorisalto1 your comments are not very helpful. Sadly the ringing was not brilliant, but it strange to say only experienced ringers can ring there…… We have learners at our practice and they taught to ring on a range of bells, the ringing is not always perfect ringing but I can say that no one is going to improve without actually do it!!!! I am a Cathedral band member and seen many experienced ringers make a pigs ear of those bells also.
My sister has been in that cathedral :) and she saw the old bells in the corridor and I think those were the old bells before they replaced with the new ones good vid :)
Dunno why certain people are making these snide comments, they sound okay to me! Or at least they are doing a better job than I can manage, and have many more years to improve than we do, eh Cantorisalto?
Why on earth did Mark Regan allow these people access to the bells - it's a shocking noise on bells that should only be rung by experienced ringers!! There are plenty of church towers way out in the countryside for inexperienced ringers!!!
Because a lot of young ringers wanted to ring at the Cathedral so it was nice of him to let us ring. Your comment is frankly rude and nasty. I suggest we end this conversation before something bad happens to your ringing career. I don’t want you to embarrass yourself :^) It would be good to see good ringing on your channel seeing as you know it all C:
I wonder why so many people drop out of ringing, and then i read ignorant comments like this, lovely that some younger ringers had the chance to ring these bells, they will learn from the experience.
@@RingerThomas Worcester Cathedral bells should only be for experienced ringers!! I understand people need to learn but please - not on these. There's a ringing centre downstairs of simulated bells where they could have crashed away to their hearts content. Worcester Cathedral bells are simply not for learners!!
@@Cantorisalto1 It’s not like you have rung there to know how difficult they are! Judging by your bellboard. You haven’t rung much to have the courage to comment. Perhaps comment when you have rung there. I’m sure all the young ringers would like to see you try Worcester Cathedral wether you get invited or not by what ignorant comments you have made.

Thank you. I try my best to make these vids good. I always enjoy making videos to make people happy 😊

I rang there and did the 1st and 2nd
I was ringing the 4th.
You were! It was good to meet you at last!
@@RingerThomas yes it was.
