This is my favorite doll you have ever made, to date. The cultural research shows, the yellow and blue and brown all play off of each other beautifully, and the faun/satyr element is a fun twist. I adore her. Compared to the first video of yours I ever saw, this shows such growth, even if you can't see it firsthand. I have too many compliments for my words. She is stunning, and the effort and time you put in really shine through.

I love that you're progressing to customize dolls with darker skin tones. Although, it'd be cool see dolls with darker eye colours too, instead of blue and green.

What an amazing that doll creation ! I can totally see a meeting happening between the two Fauns! I love how the first one was pure white when this one is a rich brown. I also appreciate the thought for the African culture, I can definitely picture this lady in a fairy tale from where my father comes from :)
I watched this as I fell asleep, so I forgot to comment, but it looks like everyone already said a lot of what I wanted too! Still, here it is again because you deserve to hear it: you're a fantastic artist, and the hair styles you give your dolls are stunning. I actually love the blushing work too, though, and again, the fur looks amazing. The body mods look stunning as well, it just came together so beautifully. You've grown so much since I started watching, just getting comfortable in the art form and applying more and more of your skill with each new peice. It's truly amazing to watch, and the results are always beautiful.
Also, the lovely touch of the foreign cloth worn in her cultural style is such a wonderful way to build her character? I love it so much, it says so much about her in one swoop: a traveler still loyal and loving to their roots, with countless friends made along her journey. I love it. I love how you always take the time and care to create a cultural heritage for each of your dolls.
a few tips for people looking to develop a style: look at the work of artists you love, find what aspects you like in an art piece (like line weight, colour, shape/form etc.) and try to recreate it! In your own way of course, not directly copying. And not just from one artist either. Take what inspiration you can and it will all come together in the end. You honestly don't even notice it happening, honestly. To this day when people say 'I love your art style!' I'm always like, what, I have a style? 😂
i also try to find inspiration from other things too, not just art. personally i find nature inspiring so i try to incorporate more organic and flowy shapes into my art, but it can be anything like animals (such as this doll), buildings, colors, people… anything can bring something to the table:)

You know, when I saw the fawn's face in the thumbnail, I actually did think of Isaac for a second. I think you really captured some of that in the face. They've both got that calm, seemingly sage expression that I really loved in looking at Isaac's design. Very cool.

she is absolutely gorgeous... if you end up doing another doll who's black, I would LOVE to see them with brown eyes! I don't think brown eyes get enough love especially on dark skin and it's a shame because they're so beautiful.

The fur colors remind me of Oberhasli goats, which have some of my favorite markings. This one is stunning!

for dry brushing of sculpted things like hooves and horns it can be good to create some texture for the dry brushing to catch on rather than just painting it on bare, things like carving lines in the horns similar to ram or goat horns. all around i love this doll so much, she’s a beautiful doll and the protective braids are gorgeous. great work :)

I developed my style by incorporating pieces of what I liked from other artists, as well as what made me happy. I thought about my favorite cartoon styles, tried different things, discarded what I didn't want, and I'm still piecing it all together. Picking aesthetics that made me happy also helped a lot.
I can't even fathom how tired your hands must have been after all that tiny braiding. Props to you.
