i have very hooded eyes even though my ansetery is mostly Scandinavian, i also hate having hooded eyes no one can ever see my eyes and everyones thinks im super tierd
OK, for a rerooting tool its literley a tool handle with a broken needle in it. so take a exacto blade handle with no blade and put a needle in its place but first use pliers to cut the hole of the needle in half. super easy and works just as good.
I do exactly the same thing and it works really well for me. one thing i find the helps with the blade handle i use, (because mine doesn't go tight enoth to hold the needle.) is a small bit of rubber in the tool head, just jab the needle in and it become very secure.
Same, after breaking three reroofing tools I saw Dollmotion use this technique and it literally changed my life. Cheaper, more durable, and you can change the needle size and thickness depending on the type of hair and/or vinyl you're working with... All pros, no cons!
Hi!!!! Absolutely gorgeous doll!!!! In regards to a rerooting tool, Catherine from Dollightfull made a rerooting tool out of a sewing needle cut at an angle inserted into a drill chuck. I believe all of these materials are pretty widely available! Hope this helps :)
As to the rerooting tool: I learned from watching dollightfull that you can make your own by just cutting a sewing needle at a certain angle. Then the only thing you need is something to hold it. Like some of those small hand drills for example. This is not a promo but you can watch something on her channel (she mentiones how she did it in a few videos but I'm not sure if she has a tutorial) or just directly ask dollightful I'm sure she'd be glad to help a fellow doll costumiser out *Sorry for any spelling mistakes I might've made
That's who it was who had a homemade tool! I couldnt remember who it was that made theirs! But yeah it's super easy to just cut a normal needle and stuff it into the end of a wooden dowel or a cork if you want to have a go at rerooting! Also your sewing machine stickers are adorable
Im not judging your spelling but i like teaching people. So the correct spelling is "mentions" without the e. Besides that you spelled everything fine!
Can we just talk about how put together and calming this is? Literally all of it is so aesthetically pleasing! Not to mention that introoooo!!! Your voice is so soothing too 🥺
Reroot tool: I don’t know what size of needle you’d use but you can experiment. Get a hand sewing needle with a long eye and an exacto knife. Take out the blade and put the needle in the center of where the blade would go, point side down. You can use wire cutters or strong scissors really carefully and cut the needle eye at a slant. I’ve seen people use this in the past and it seems to work pretty well with experimentation.
@@etellan size 5, 7, and 8 are really good for rerooting I like size 7 best it’s better for more delicate work and size 5 is great for hairlines and parts for bigger plugs.
You’ve probably heard, but using a regular larger sized sewing needle, point cut off, and the eye cut at an angle, imbedded into a craft knife base, a Champaign cork, or even a chunk of wood works as a rooting tool, that’s what I use. Sewing needles are cheap, I’ve only broken a couple, but they’re easy to make another if they do break. But, if you prefer gluing on wefts, that’s totally fine too! You do you! Cause your amazing at what you do!
im pretty sure dollightful made her own rerooting tool and also mentioned how in one of her videos, it was a drill bit holding a needle with th eye cut at an angle if im not mistaken

Thank you for your inspiring videos, your delightful voice and your creativity ... thank you for the strength you gave to me even tho you don’t know me!!! I love your work

I've always been really self conscious of my hooded eyelids, so you applying them to something so incredibly gorgeous made me feel so much better about them. thank you so much for that. I'm generally a quiet viewer, but just wanted to mention that your art gave me some confidence, even though it was such a little detail, and I'm really thankful for that. One thing I always love from Etellan's videos is the face up. Her consistency of hooded eyes is so beautiful, and when you see the tiny blemishes up close, it gives that realness factor. Plastic that sticks out a little act as scars almost, and miniscule holes like pores and dimples. Etellan caught my eye with her "Physician" doll. I love the story she told, I love Etellan's calming voice with her Australian accent. I love her intros and music choice. She and Katherine will always be my favorite. I remember being compelled to write the Physician's story and flesh it out. I'm actually learning from you and others on utube. I'm way out in farmland so I understand limited supply availability! I just began learning a month ago..and I'm building my supplies. I did my first doll..she's def got a long way to go..I've wiped off all twice already but I'm trying! I found that u can use the craft knife if interchangeable blades..u can use a snipped sewing needle with LG eye. I use bigger needles ..tapestry..snip with wire cutter..place in tool.. tighten if needle too small..use masking tape around needle point end to secure better. Using bigger needles..less breakage..but holes may need to be widened.i hv bought a tool on amazon..it's Grand..but I make my own needles. I love your work..she's Absolutely Fantastic! Thank u for sharing your Talent!

Very adorable and cool! A sweet girl tells in a gentle voice how she transforms dolls into a work of art. I'm from Russia and your channel started appearing in my recommendations after the Sndk video about Monster High dolls. Your videos are very positive and relaxing!!!
She is so lovely!! Love all those colors put together, so fun! Regarding re-rooting, I'm fairly new to the hobby but what I favor is a plain and simple half-moon collar needle (I think sometimes also called upholstery needle). I cut the yarn to the desired length, unwind the yarn into single strands, thread each with the needle through the top of the head and out the neck hole (this is where the curved shape of the needle comes in handy), remove the needle, tie the end that will end up inside the head and pull up on the other end on the outside. This way, you don't have to use any glue whatsoever, you end up up with really natural looking hair, and the bonus is that it's easy to remove later! I would recommend unwinding the yarn so you thread thinner, single strands, although I've seen some doll artists thread the full strand - but then you end up with really bulky hair. Hope this helps :)
Okay, a couple things... 1. IT LOOKS GOOD- 2. pls read an audio book or something bc ur voice is soothing and I’ll listen to it 24/7 3. I really like how you talk about your ‘failures’ or, projects stored in a box. Most people don’t, so I’m really glad you do. :)

For rerooting i use a swivel head pin vise and needles cut at an angle with pliers. The pin vise is adjustable so you could stick the needle with the pointy side down into it and tighten it so you have a homemade rerooting tool and whenever the needle breaks you just loosen it up and replace it with another. I love it so much and its the only way i do doll hair now.
This is the first video I've found of yours and I loved it! The doll is amazing, your voice is soft and calming, and the pacing/editing flows really nicely!! Thanks for sharing your art with us 💕✨

FIRST!
love you!
Her voice is so calming I've never heard of this channel before but I'm sure I'll be watching more often.
As someone with a green cheek conure I laughed when he tried biting the doll head 💀 they sure do love to nibble on anything In reach
Hey👋🏾 I'm new to your channel and I see that you watch anime💁🏾♀️ and i was wondering do you watch ghibli films 😊💞
Your voice is so soothing, mixed with the chill music I could just fall asleep. But I also can’t because I’m so captivated by your art
Me, an American: I'm sorry he stole a WHAT?
Etellan: "like an eraser"
Me: oh.

I really like the way you did the eyes on the doll. The way the top eyelashes point downwards makes them look more 3D
I opened my phone after having it turned off and even with pink skin I thought it was a real person at first glance-
This is the first video I've found of yours and I loved it! The doll is amazing, your voice is soft and calming, and the pacing/editing flows really nicely!! Thanks for sharing your art with us 💕✨
