    My sister, who’s loaded in tattoos, taught me this mindset before I got my first tattoo:
    “Make sure that what you get means something to you, that it’s something that you’ve liked for at least 10 years of your life, and that it won’t be something you look at down the road with regret”
    Tattoos are a bit pricey but tattoo removal can be a little bit more expensive

    • @satansbarman
      @satansbarman 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      Once I'd decided on my tattoo I waited 5 years before getting it done, to make sure I'd still be happy with it permanently on my skin. I didn't want to get something that I thought looked cool only to regret it later, like a few people I've met.

    • @Stonedsheepu8906
      @Stonedsheepu8906 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      @@satansbarman another piece of advice my sister gave me is don’t get tattoos affiliated with a celebrity. Imagine getting a Cosby tattoo in the 90s because The Cosby Show was your favorite show growing up and then 2017 hits and you suddenly really regret your tattoo. Celebrities could easily have something bad happen that makes them ostracized to society, like Ezra Miller and Louis C K.
      It’s safe to get a tattoo of a celebrity only after their death, when skeletons in their closet can’t be found or even made.

Highly irresponsible and you don’t know if they’re with you for life. Only time I see it acceptable to get a partners name is if you’re with them for a long time, they pass away, and you refuse to love anyone else after and want to honor them.

    I'm really worried about how these tattoos, and all the changes honestly, will heal and age. My roommate's Mom got her eyebrows and lips tattooed as a young adult, and now that she's in her late 60s, the white hair with permanent bright red eyebrows is a bit jarring, and her lips look slightly blueish all the time (she is not hypoxic lol).

    • @Malveina
      @Malveina 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +27

      Modern pigments for face tattoos, called dermopigmentation for lips, eyebrows, eyeliner etc, are made specifically to be absorbed by your immune system over time. So the tatto will fade away in some time, usually years, to prevent the colors from changing and the placement to be incorrect, since aging changes our face structure. There's a lot more to it like technique, how many times you redo your tatto and so on...
      I saw some beautifully done works, other not so much.

      I have alopecia (the disease where you lose your hair for no known reason) and I thought about getting my eyebrows tattooed on so I wouldn’t have to worry about painting them on with makeup every day. But I decided against it for this exact reason. I thought to myself, “what will this look like when I’m 60?” and that made me change my mind immediately.
      Now, instead of even going to the effort of drawing on fake brows every day, I just try my best to rock the no brows look because I cannot change the fact that my body won’t grow hair there. I think my change in attitude has to do with the fact that I’m getting older and am far less insecure than I was in my early twenties. We don’t all have to look perfect and meet the beauty standards to the T. Unfortunately, it seems like Gen Z hasn’t quite figured that out yet.

    Considering there are people who make characters with freckles in video games, I'd say it was eventually going to happen. Although, I do agree that natural ones look better and actually makes some people look cute as they are actually a part of your natural skin. The tattoo ones look like those fake Trypophobia wound infections as they are dark and do not match the skin naturally. These people would've been better off getting a custom "brush" and applying temporary freckles using make-up attuned to their natural skin color just like those people who apply beauty marks.

      The freckle tattoos obviously look bad the second they are done. They need time to heal, something Pegasus was not shown at all. Just search freckles tattoo after healing and you will see a lot of them look natural. They are also tattoo artists that are better and some are worse. Like using black ink instead of different shades of brown, that will just look weird even after healing. But the rainbow freckles like the girl in the video for example looked pretty cute after healing.
      *MIND YOU* some of these tattoos are for people with actual freckles that are only on certain parts of the face, and the freckle tattoos make them look more consistent and symmetrical, more normal so to speak.

    I was one of the ugly ones in school. Seriously I was bullied relentlessly for it. I can't even begin to count how many times I was called ugly straight to my face. Even a teacher once said it as a joke for the sake of a class exercise. So who knows how often it was said behind my back as well. Anyway the point is when you're relentlessly seen has hideous it's hard not to obsess over your looks. I always have and honestly I look slightly better now since graduating high school. But it's because I've now finally been properly taught how to take care of my skin and hair and I'm buying those products for myself with my own money and not having to stick to the cheap generic stuff my mom would buy. Now my acne isn't nearly as bad as it used to be in fact I barely even have any anymore. All that really sticks out on my face are blackheads, over sized pores and acne scars from past pimples. But those are things you can't even see from far away, the scars just make me look like I have freckles from far away. And as for my hair, I went natural 3 years ago and started using the right products to keep my hair healthy and my natural curls looking immaculate. And my style has improved because my mom can't tell me what to wear anymore and I can wear things that are just more...me. All this is held together by a new SLIGHT sense of confidence. I have a long time boyfriend now who's the only person who genuinely thinks I'm beautiful, every single inch of me. He always reassures me and makes me feel attractive. Maybe my new confidence shouldn't come from a man but, oh well. As much as I've always struggled with hating my looks, I'd never hate them enough to do these crazy things. Because I've always said even if I really am ugly, I want everything about me to be real. Real hair, real unaltered face, chest, etc. No one will ever be able to say I'm fake.

    I’ll be honest I’m turning 25 this week and I’m kind of feeling this pressure to work on my looks too but I would never go to extreme lengths such as plastic surgery and freckle tattoos. I rather stick with a skin care routine and makeup because at least with makeup you can remove it and change it up.
    It’s sad that both young and old women including myself feel this pressure to stay young and beautiful forever. It’s awful when we get to a certain age or look older we feel less attractive. It’s weird and creepy how society (especially Hollywood) is super obsessed with a youthful appearance. It’s not normal to appear young forever. People are supposed to age.

It’s really sad and frustrating and it doesn’t help that media prays on people struggling with things they have no control over. The only look I’ve struggled with is being overweight most of my life as well as having a more severe case of gynecomastia. I’ve found it better to not really care what people think and I’d be lying if I said it still didn’t hurt a bit. While the intro is pretty spot on, freckle tattoos are pretty much the same as getting your eyebrows microbladed. The ink is not permanent, and it will fade away within a few years maximum. they fall under cosmetic, or non permanent, tattoos. Ofc there are the ones who don't use the correct ink, or fading ink - I have seen a few of those. I.e rainbow sprinkle freckles with blues, yellows, pinks and greens - which is def a choice, but can be cute. Also some do permanent with light brown. But ofc, there are the ones who decide to DIY and end up using permanent BLACK ink, and it looks atrocious!. But these in the video will fade and look natural within a week or two

    the thing is freshed tattoos look different when they are healed so it probably would look MUCH better after some time while the skin is not inflamed and angry out of a fresh tatt

    I’m actually glad that my daughter grew up before social media. I hope that even if she did she wouldn’t have followed these ridiculous trends as shes always been her own person. Never into makeup and trying to be like anyone but herself. And speaks her mind. But if my child did have access to this nonsense I would make sure I was fully aware of everything they were looking at and no smart phone till high school! Even then it would be monitored. I would hope what she was taught would make her smart enough to know what is just insane!

    I have freckles on my face and it gives me a lot of unwanted attention, to the point where even strangers approach me to give their remedy for my face. I have been insulted and roasted by many people, so I don't understand why the kids of our generation want it.

    i always loved my freckles and lost many of them from working overnight for over 8yrs. yall please just keep in mind the skin is super enflamed right after a tattoo, and they *will* fade after they've healed those first two weeks and peeled, and they will fade a bit further depending on the ink and application. it looks super garish at first, but look at videos of a 1 month healed, 6 month healed, etc. i would get rainbow freckles. but i want to be covered from head to toe in tattoos if i make it to 50. (i do have some faded freckles on my nose, and many moles on my face. i was never made fun of for freckles; the kids i grew up with all loved them, but that was in the deep south and almost everyone had them. my heart goes out to anyone who was mocked growing up for having them)
    my only problem with this trend is just how young many of these people are, and how some don't have any other tattoos. it's a big decision to get a facial tattoo that i feel a lot of younger people are taking flippantly. i had plenty of tattoo ideas when i was 15-21 that i'm glad i never did. the only thing i can recommend is what i'd recommend for ANY tattoo; ****will**** you still love having that on your body in ten years, when your thoughts have changed, your ideals have changed, your dreams have changed?
    i only have on tattoo i regret, bobby hill on my inner ankle, but at the time i got him i was super depressed and kept a picture of him giving me a big thumbs' up on my phone to get me through high school. no idea why i chose bobby hill, he just made me feel better for 3 years and i always claimed i'd get him tattooed, so i did. after 7yrs of wanting him, i got him, and while i do love him, the tattoo itself is flawed and only reminds me of hard times instead of the hope for the future that he was meant to be. i used to open my phone, sobbing, just to feel like anyone in this world saw me (pathetic i know but i'm not the only bullied kid on here ;P ) and now all i can think about when i look at him is that scared little girl desperate for anyone to give a damn.
    but i only mean this as an example of wanting now vs wanting later. like i said earlier i would 100% get rainbow freckles from a cosmetic tatooist and never regret it. it's your body. if you can't have fun with it and feel joy when you look in the mirror, what's the point?

    I love my freckles it’s what made me different in my area. It took me til I was out of school to accept and love my freckle so the fact that people who made fun of freckles are getting them tatted is very annoying. And shows just how weak their mind’s are But the fact that their freckles will turn colors in a few years is some amusing karma

    I used to have freckles when I was a kid. I was very insecure about them to the point where I would rub my face raw, trying to "wash them off". I was called "connect the dots, dirty-face, etc." crazy to think they're now a trend.

    I remember when people used to get bullied for having freckles as well and I was the only one who really liked the look of freckles, I went from someone who’s rare for that reason to someone who’s common, but to be honest it’s kind of nice to not be the only one though

    Everyone wants what they don't want. I have freckles, most in my family do ( we are of mixed race & culture, black, white & Taino Native... Puerto Ricao & Bahamas)
    I love my kinky curly hair, freckles & green eyes.
    I'm not judging any of these people I just feel if their going to do it at least make it look more natural.
    Not my place to judge anyone ❤
