My personal top 10 10: adventure rebirth 9: Order of eclesia 8: Dawn of sorrow 7: Castlevania 3 6: Portrait of ruin 5: Bloodlines 4: Super castlevania 4 3: Rondo of blood 2: Aria of sorrow 1: Symphony of the night
Great video! Personally, I liked aria of sorrow but I felt like it wasn’t as good as I heard it to be so I guess my expectations were to high by the time I got to clear it. I am a huge fan of the rondo of blood/symphony of the night duology.
Since I‘m not a fan of metroidvania-style single-map exploration, my personal 3 favorite Castlevanias are Bloodlines (my fav soundtrack as well), Rondo of Blood and the original NES game.
Awesome video. I always hear so many people refer to the GBA/DS era of Castlevania games as the best, specifically Aria of Sorrow. I haven’t really played much of the series past the SNES/Genesis era, but I’m wanting to give it a shot. As it stands, I’m a sucker for the original NES game. lol
I went through a ton of GBA games a couple years ago on a modded Wii-U and I totally agree. The Castlevania and Metroid games are the best. I love the look of the GBA with the bright pixel art. Special shoutout to Rondo cause I love the Turbo. Great list!
So far i have enjoyed Circle of the Moon(the card system is cool)… Aria of Sorrow… and curse of Darkness. COD is my favorite and i wish it was more popular… i name my summons after pokemon and pretend im a Pokémon trainer.
@@dukey03 Thanks for doing the list, bro! I encourage to do more with Castlevania and it's because i'm selfish and love the series so much. Sure wish Konami would get off some of these great IP's and do some good work.
About Castlevania 3, i really recommend the Japanese version (Famicom), Akumajou Densetsu, the game have better Music, better balance and a more fair difficulty, is the definitve way to play Castlevania 3.
@@dukey03 magazines gave it a 7/8 on 10 back in the days because the game came out pretty late just before the 32 bit console releases and people where spoiled by such great developers. 2D wasn’t the big trend anymore, this is why many 2D developers tried to fake 3D using rasterized 3D sprites and polygons in 16 bit consoles.
@@MrRoboto81 I love the original Castlevania; I just love these ones more. The only Castlevania games I didn’t like were uhh the first Gameboy one, Castlevania 64, and Order of Ecclesia
@@dukey03commenting super late after just finishing order of ecclesia (shout out dominus collection) what didn’t you like about it?? It’s my first castlevania game and I loved it (playing aria now as my second)
@@kfpspookiclips3627 it’s been a long time since I’ve played it, but I think it was the story and the fact that you had to do that stupid thing in order to absorb abilities/spells or whatever. Good list. But... Symphony of the Night is clearly number 1, and Order of Ecclesia needs to be in the top 10. It's a great game with a great story, imo. 👍🏻😎
I like Lament of Innocence and Lords of Shadow. Like not love. Super Castlevania IV is very good just like Dawn of Sorrow and Aria of Sorrow and Bloodlines. Never played Portrait of Ruin. Don't ban me lol. I'm not a huge fan of story in video games personally plus I skip cutscenes for the most part. I read a lot is my excuse lol.
@@dukey03 you never played Final Fantasy X I assume lol. Some cutscenes I love and actually watch often on here. The Last of Us had a good story I hear... A lot...

Solid list, my fave is Order of Ecclesia followed by symphony and circle of the moon
Great video, got to play these titles. I hope with Metroid Dread being one of the best in it's series Castlevania will make a glorious return.
Rumor has it they’ve got another developer working on a new Castlevania game. I just hope it’s better than the Lords of Shadow games were

Nice to see a #1 that’s not sotn, rondó or 4. I can remember game pro saying aria was better than sotn when it came out. The best one to me is 3.
