Really wish we had English subtitles, but happy just to watch it. The game looks gorgeous even on a huge ass TV steeaming this, so very cool. I can't wait to make a new team. I had classes i planned to use and everything, but now i gotya switch it up and try the new one. Because, you gotta try the new one! Im curious uf they tweaked combaty or class abilities at all. Like, leveking up abd learning things. I hope our levek up stats are locked and not random. That was my one big gripe playing it last time.

Idk I actually like the new design changes. I think they should’ve made it black but she looks more like a warrior to me. Not saying that the censorship isn’t bad but idk I like it🤷🏿‍♂️

They need to quit porting/remastering the lunar series and just remake it. An anime game like Lunar would look absolutely stunning if it was done stylistically similar to other games, like Zenless Zone Zero.

Sorry, but I don't mind the non fans talking about the issue if their opinions align with the opinions of everyone. Not wanting censorship. I think it helps bring awareness to the problem to casual players. And as a fan I will not buy it. If they take the wrong message I don't care. I will not give my money to a censored version. I prefer to starve than to pay for an meal with shit. And type A/B thing, I do care because it's idiotic. Those things "don't affect the game" but affect my enjoyment of the game. Because they are idiotic. I'm constantly reminded by the game about how idiotic it is and how idiotic I'm by taking part in it. And yes I know it is in a lot of modern games, guess what? I didn't bought any of those either. I'm not stupid or delusional and I will not be part of other people's stupidity and delusion. If dragon quest dies because devs don't listen and fans like me don't buy it, I think it's a good thing. And I think people who thinks like you and are complacent with the problem, just because you are attached to the product, are part of the problem. Let square enix burn. I don't give a shit. It was their decision to throw gasoline into the fire. But if that is just me, fine, I do believe I value my money much more to not throw it away. I live in a poor country, I fight really hard to get money to eat let alone to buy video games, they aren't entitled to it, if they want my money they must give me exactly what I want. Not a single pixel less than perfection.

Lol, comical but NO offence meant here, all I hear is they didnt age well 'cos it's something YOU personally didn't like. . The problem here is youre getting to play most of these games more recently (which youre stating in comments below) and not on original hardware back in the day when they first came out. There's a certain QoL, expectation and standard gamers expect in games these days, especially Jrpgs/Rpgs. Back in those days some things just wern't even possible to program on the game's engine, or devs just didnt know how to. . What you said about Secret of Mana's translation, the mess of it I agree slightly but I also understand why it wasnt such a great translation to English. It's story was effectively butchered because it was too big to fit the original version of the game onto a cartridge when it was being made for that Ninendo/Sony CD SNES Add-on that got cancelled, not to mention the rush to get thegame released on time to the public, Japaese Devs were dead set on release dates back in the 90's. They split the game into two games, kept Secret of Mana as it is and from what was left over (allready programmed) and ideas, maps, music, characters and time travel they decided to put it all together and make Chrono Trigger with the remaining stuff. . Originally Secret of Mana was going to have time travel and such in it but it never happened 'cos the Nintendo/Sony collab collapse, (which then sony eventually did their own which was then named PS1/PSX). Even music and characters in both games are very much alike and very similar in look, Randi and Chrono, Pirum and Marle, etc. In secret of mana, after you defeated the end guy you were originally going to be pulled through time and this is where the storyline of Chrono Trigger (in part) was going to happen, but obvioulsly at the time, space issues of carts compared to CDs, they cut the game, added flammie as the end boss and finished the game at that point with the collapse of the Mana Fortress. . So there's reasons, reasons you dont mention at all, you just say.. "didnt age well 'cos the translation was crap" (in a sense), or "'cos its grindy as hell", those are from YOUR own perspective and pretty biased, it's unfair you label these games as "Didn't age well". Some of these games were made near 25+ years ago, tech and knowledge of what was and what wasnt possible in games at the time was still young for newer consoless that wasnt home computers.. Commodore, Spectrum, or Amstrad. LOL!

That music for sailing just brings a big smile to my face. Fans deserve a public demo for this game. Tried to start a challenge run for DW3 on GBC, think nuzlocke from pokemon but have to replace party members when there is a death, but encountered the glitch that super levels you on Pachisi so now my hero is lv 99 and my team is around lv 20 and while it is still likely i could lose someone from an unlucky crit by the enemy, i may try to play the SNES version since there is no bug for pachisi that i know about for that version.

2:35 The monster wrangler used the ability Boulder Toss 3:05 After the monster wrangler class changed to mage, she can still use Boulder Toss Since Boulder Toss does not need a specific weapon to use, it makes sense that any class can use the ability...though *some planning would be needed if weapon-based abilities would carry over when changing class*

I hate censorship in general. It should only exist if something is actually problematic, and nothing in this game was problematic. It's not enough to make me not wanna buy the game, because everything else about it looks great. I'm still gonna support the game, but only for literally everything else. Because the censorship is just so stupid. And I've seen people on Facebook unironically defending the censorship. People this insane do exist. I don't want this woke anti-Cross trash in my games.

Hard agree for Legend of Dragoon. The battle additions were cool, but I don't want to do that for /every/single/attack. Give me a break!

I feel like I am the only person who likes this warrior design. The NPC warrior in Dragon Quest 8 for 3DS, the figurine in Dragon Quest Treasures, and Whambelina aka the female warrior in Dragon Quest 11 all wear this exact outfit, but in black. This is a remake of Dragon Quest 3 to give it modern changes. This reminds me of the modern design of the female warrior, but the color is similar to their skin tone to be reminiscent of the original female warrior design. That all being said no one has ever worn a crop top under a bikini. I kept myself very spoiler free of Dragon Quest Monsters 3. This video reminded me of when I first saw the redesign of Maya wearing that outfit. She went from diva to what a middle schooler thinks adults wear. Easily most upsetting part of the game for me.

My first idea: Pokemon Gen 1 and it came up immediately. That alone makes this a great list.

I always find it interesting just how uneven the Phantasy Star series was. PS2 was one of the first JRPGs I ever played and I convinced myself that I was enjoying it, simply because I didn't know any better. Looking back on it, though... eh. Not something I'd ever want to revisit. PS3 just bored me to the point where I stopped playing PS4 was one of my favourite games and absolutely aged really well

Holy molly new Lunar!!!! My favorite RPGs were the first two Lunar games! Eternal Blue is what made me a true believer in the genre. Very exciting. New remakes of Lunar and Dragon Quest, that's just nuts. But I ONLY OWN A NINTENDO!!!!! Did you say this is ONLY Playstation? It's not coming to the Switch? Don't break my heart like that.

Hard disagree with the Legend of Dragoon. It's still good over 20 years later. It has its problems for sure, and I wouldn't go for 100% unless you are prepared to grind, but the pacing is actually borderline great (long as you run from common encounters often starting at disk 3).There are some minor improvements that could be made if it ever gets a re-make- - freely allow use of any unlocked addition in battle, not just one - make animations faster, and skippable - buff the dragoon forms and allow early reverting - expanded inventory: 32 is way too small - improve the random encounters and voice acting other than these small gripes, LOD is still enjoyable today.
