Detailing isn't a chore it's a love of your ride, I love detailing both car and truck nothing better then a clean car and people who ride in both give great compliments. Scott thanks for all the info on products
I really appreciate how honest you are, yeah if the door jambs are that gross it dosent matter too much if it gets scratched, owner probably dosent care as long as its clean
Great video! I'm an amateur I'm learning lots of techniques from you. I like the fact that you don't use a lot of products you can get only at the detail supplier.
Scott, great video again! Great information. My door jambs aren’t that dirty, but that is a great for that! One thing I do to my door jambs is spray some white lithium grease on the door hinges. It makes the doors close easier, plus if they squeak, it quietens them down! Also, since it is a cleanish white, it doesn’t detract from the look either!
Thank you for another great tip! I couldn't find the aerosol, so I used the foaming Super Clean trigger spray. It worked great! Your videos are really helping me to take my detailing to a new level.
Michael, I buy the aerosol on Amazon. Scott just added a new video on his page with a $2 discount code when you buy the aerosol on Amazon! Discount Code: 2DPC
I use SuperClean for nearly everything in my home and truck. You can get rid of everything else to reduce clutter and stick to this one cleaner. They even have a dilution chart on their webpage for diff tasks. Very handy to have several bottles around the house and in the truck with the diff dilutions.
Thanks for the idea Del! Here's the link to the SuperClean dilution chart if anyone else wants it: www.superclean.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Superclean_Dilution-Chart.pdf
Scott, This is my first time watching one of your TH-cam videos, I honestly thought I was listening to a commercial by Howard Stern! Am I the only one that ever said you sound exactly like Howard Stern? Keep up the good work. Mitch
A lot of times in tight spaces I usually get a spray bottle and turn it on to the Stream and it gets in there with me being able to control how hard and how quick the water comes to it great tips though it looks like the hose may do a little better job than my spray bottle but I do try to keep up on my car I also use my air hose to dry it off
Scott- your videos are awesome! So I tried Super Clean today cut 1:4. I was skeptical because meguiars super degreaser has been my go to on tires for years. Super Clean blew me away. The smell doesn't gag you to death and the cleaning power is better than Megs in my opinion. Thank you!
Just a tip. Spin the nozzle off the hose, turn the water tap barely on and rinse door jamb. That way the water cascades down the jamb and no spray mist enters the car interior or door panel.
Great video as usual Scott! Super Clean in a can and Stoners Trim Shine is on my list to get. That rusty bolt would have driven me nuts seeing that. Would you typically touch that up with a sharpie or something? Thanks Scott!
We live in a world where people neglect their stuff and don't care about neat in orderly. I spent that much time cleaning a person's minivan once. It was unbelievable!
I have been using the Ryobi power washer and I love it. I can control the spray with the orange/yellow tip very well. I highly recommend that electric power washer.
Awesome videos👌🏻 question for you what do you say to someone that says they can go to one of those quick shine places for a lot cheaper and less time? I’ve been detailing for about 4 years as a hobby with maybe 2-3 details a month. Now I’m looking to take it to the next level.
Also Scott if u haven't done a video on onr wash & wax on interior for protection please do one...if works would be very cost effective compared to other "dressings." Thanks!
im not a fan of ONR wash & wax for interior dressing but thats my world but i hear a lot enjoy it..i could make a video about the pros and cons of using ONR for a dressing for interiors in a future video:)...thanks for your comment
Would using a water based cleaner such as Superclean liquid, then using hogh pressure air in areas that can trap water a safer method? Then the Trim Shine which a Assume is solvent based, and quick evaporating. Great reviews. Thanks.
You can disconnect the battery cable, but most vehicles the interior lights turn off after a couple minutes automatically with an opened door. Those small light bulbs don't drain the battery very quickly anyway.
Would you recommend this product for Harley Davidson motors even-though it stats not recommended to leave on motorcycles for an extended amount of time. If not this product what would you recommend for Harley's? Thx!!
TheMidnightNarwhal - White lithium grease is the lube for door hinges. Any lithium is good, but white looks the best. Important, DO NOT GET ANY ON YOUR CLOTHING, unless it something you don’t care about. Nothing takes it off.
I wish Easy Detail or Speed Master would make a brush with the same bristles, but in the shape of a ball. I think it would work great for tight places like jambs, and engine bays.
Look at the OXO stuff @ Target. Think the one I bought is a bottle/ Wine Glass brush. Not super sturdy so can't thrash on it to much but bristles fairly soft. :)
I dont think the wheel brush will scratch same as it dont on ur clear coated wheels.....thats my 2 cents. Also for door jams i rinse with a hand/garden air pump sprayer filled with filtered water
I've got three dereser: 108; Exhaust&Soot; CG's dereaser. If there is a chance, would you try Exhast&Soot? It is not expensive, and it works fine for me.
Quick pressure wash would have taken 2 seconds. Then you take your microfiber towel and dry the over spray. You won't be washing the grease away like the degreaser is lol
This is great for the home car washer but any detailer will apply degreaser then pressure wash. Splash is minimal and easily wiped up. As for your customers dislikes, hopefully your charging them for the extra 30 minutes it takes to do all the jambs by hand
1st of all, I'm not most... 2nd, as a master detailer who only detailed high end vehicles, I know you're only getting so much from someone who doesn't have leather seats. Don't get so frazzled just because I said your idea is bullshit for a real detailer
im not frazzled at all...i just strongly disagree with using a power washer to clean door jambs..many of my clients have used other detailers that use a power washer to clean jambs and many of those people have asked me not to do it with their vehicles..so i will follow the instructions of my clients before i follow the group of other detailers just because they do it..OTHER detailers don't run my business or pay me:)...so i will be smart and listen to my clients
hmmm..i can't comment on using a oven cleaner on door jambs..have you tried it?...it just wouldn't be a product i would think to use but my wheels are spinning now..lol...thanks for your comment and support
Scott Bley no it's ok. Just thought maybe I upset u. Could I use super clean concentrate diluted as a traffic film remover on the lower parts of a vehicle?
Alex Bryan yes just about any apc or degreaser can be diluted for a traffic film cleaner. .im going to make a video about it and if it's really effective:)
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing mean green is just a cleaner try awesome cleaner only a dollar at dollar tree nothing beats awesome cleaner try that
Driveway Reflections Detail I am of aware of his other videos. In my opinion, superclean cannot compete with Meguiars base on the efficiency and price.

You explain your work extremely well! You would make an excellent teacher/college level

Michael, you can find the aerosol at AutoZone, Advance Auto, and Pep Boys. Here's the store locator is it helps: superclean.com/locate-a-store/
Discerning gentleman, thank you very much!

SuperClean is great, does wonderful on gutters vinyl and even used it on an pretty dirty oven
Love the video. Thanks
Time constraints are no problem.
Enjoy the information that comes from it.
You are an inspiration! Scott is M.I.A. in 2020.
I could have just used this yesterday on a detail I did! I do use a steamer typically, but this is another great option!
Fabulous method, great product, such a time saver, Thanks Scott and God Bless
Awesome job!! I'm impressed!
That looks fantastic Scott. This is my project for today on my 1996 Ram.
Scott, This is my first time watching one of your TH-cam videos, I honestly thought I was listening to a commercial by Howard Stern! Am I the only one that ever said you sound exactly like Howard Stern? Keep up the good work. Mitch

Al did you use the degreaser on painted wheels?
Kxtana you shouldn’t. Just spray it on the tire, give a quick scrub and spray it off. Cleans easy and quick.
Just a tip. Spin the nozzle off the hose, turn the water tap barely on and rinse door jamb. That way the water cascades down the jamb and no spray mist enters the car interior or door panel.
I hope you plan on replacing the lithium grease, that was, on the door hinges that you just washed away.
I hope you plan on not tossing in random commas, that you, just throw in, a sentence.
@@matthewronsson can you be my personal teacher?
Great video as usual Scott! Super Clean in a can and Stoners Trim Shine is on my list to get. That rusty bolt would have driven me nuts seeing that. Would you typically touch that up with a sharpie or something? Thanks Scott!
Everything is super clean
This stuff does work really well, the only thing I notice it’s really hard to wash off, it produces lots of foam trying to wash off.
Thank you. FOUND this video now I know where to get it. WOO HOO.
Great job! I think a long handle artist round brush could be handy also. Thanks for another great video
We live in a world where people neglect their stuff and don't care about neat in orderly. I spent that much time cleaning a person's minivan once. It was unbelievable!

I agree..
When did Howard Stern go into car detailing?? LoL 😂
Yeah, disgusting phony accent.
Clim
@@sun9912 I don’t know what that means.
Very Helpful video Scott
YES SUR I AGREE WITH YOU BRO SOME COSTUMES JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND BRO 😯😳🤣
Hats off to you again!! I hate door jams, that is why I am so diligent about keeping them from getting that bad.YUK...LOL
wow looks like a good tool to have! need to find some here in washington state...love the videos
I'm halfway through. Hope he shows how to regrease the jamb
Very helpful information.
Thank you!!!
This far down the rabbit hole😁😁😁
what about greasing the hinges?
Something I do os rinse off the door jams with my pressure while I wash the car and then finishe wiping it off
Thanks, Scott! Do you ever have to relabel the hinges? What do you use? Thank You!
Scott, in a hot day, can we just respray super clean and jeep it wet while still cleaning?
Super Clean must be treating you good!
South Florida I charge $350-$400 for a hammered large SUV. Well done sir. 👍
Inlove this stuff.
Awesome videos👌🏻 question for you what do you say to someone that says they can go to one of those quick shine places for a lot cheaper and less time? I’ve been detailing for about 4 years as a hobby with maybe 2-3 details a month. Now I’m looking to take it to the next level.
Super clean is available in a liquid foam spray in non aerosol bottles. It's cheaper, per once, of product than an aerosol can but foams the same way.
How does the dwell time differ between the aerosol and the foaming trigger head? I would love to see a video on that.
Would using a water based cleaner such as Superclean liquid, then using hogh pressure air in areas that can trap water a safer method? Then the Trim Shine which a Assume is solvent based, and quick evaporating. Great reviews. Thanks.
Start at 4:14 to 4:35 skip to 7:35 to 8:00 done
Does this help with the super sticky glue grease that car manufacturers uses?
How do you keep tha doors open long and not draining tha Battery
You can disconnect the battery cable, but most vehicles the interior lights turn off after a couple minutes automatically with an opened door. Those small light bulbs don't drain the battery very quickly anyway.
Scott, what would've worked better to rinse away is your Worx hydroshot on the low pressure setting💡
yes the worx works well in door jambs:)...i leave it on high setting
Would you recommend this product for Harley Davidson motors even-though it stats not recommended to leave on motorcycles for an extended amount of time. If not this product what would you recommend for Harley's? Thx!!
what brand is that air blower
I may be out of it.....does doing the door jambs is just for looks ?
great videos man!!! hey quick question what isvthe best engine degreaser u can recomend?
Is there a need to put a dab of grease or silicone lube on the door hinges after cleaning like this?
Jonnie Bangkok I like to use CLP on the door hinges after cleaning. It's marketed as a gun lubricant. Sprays on like a foam then turns clear.
Jonnie Bangkok absolutely!
White Lithium Grease, buy it in a spray can. This is the most recommended for car door and hood hinges. And most are safe for plastic and rubber.
Yeah the proper grease is white lithium grease in a can and I use it but it's hard to apply cleanly.
TheMidnightNarwhal - White lithium grease is the lube for door hinges. Any lithium is good, but white looks the best. Important, DO NOT GET ANY ON YOUR CLOTHING, unless it something you don’t care about. Nothing takes it off.
Great video. Thank you
Now I must try this. I wonder if you could also use a small pump sprayer with water to rinse.
Yes
That's exactly what I do. I rinse with distilled water.
I'm doing an experiment. Meguiars Fast Finish after cleaning in an effort to make the next cleanups easier.
Let us know how it turns out!
GMAN S how'd it go!?
I wish Easy Detail or Speed Master would make a brush with the same bristles, but in the shape of a ball. I think it would work great for tight places like jambs, and engine bays.
Look at the OXO stuff @ Target. Think the one I bought is a bottle/ Wine Glass brush. Not super sturdy so can't thrash on it to much but bristles fairly soft. :)
Use a toilet brush, or dish brush
I have the squirt bottle of this... Now i see i need the foam version too :)
I dont think the wheel brush will scratch same as it dont on ur clear coated wheels.....thats my 2 cents. Also for door jams i rinse with a hand/garden air pump sprayer filled with filtered water
I hope you plan on doing a proper detail by preserving all the rubber trim around the windows.
I feel like he might suck at fully detailing
Blessed fox good job
Hey Scott.... 👍
I've got three dereser: 108; Exhaust&Soot; CG's dereaser.
If there is a chance, would you try Exhast&Soot? It is not expensive, and it works fine for me.
Do you ever detail motorcycles
What do you charge for detailing? I need a good detail on my car.
my website is listed below every video:)
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing thank you I'll definitely check it out. Great videos
GREAT!!!
I'd love a sample
Good tip but 15min to clean a doorjam?
thinks
Quick pressure wash would have taken 2 seconds. Then you take your microfiber towel and dry the over spray. You won't be washing the grease away like the degreaser is lol
Wow. What you call trashed most would call 'normal, but could use a cleaning'.
Doesn’t this stuff eat paint?
No
This is great for the home car washer but any detailer will apply degreaser then pressure wash. Splash is minimal and easily wiped up. As for your customers dislikes, hopefully your charging them for the extra 30 minutes it takes to do all the jambs by hand
sounds like your not making enough with your detail service..i charge more than most and busier than most:)
1st of all, I'm not most... 2nd, as a master detailer who only detailed high end vehicles, I know you're only getting so much from someone who doesn't have leather seats. Don't get so frazzled just because I said your idea is bullshit for a real detailer

What about oven cleaner from the dollar store? It's very aggressive but it works great on grease.
hmmm..i can't comment on using a oven cleaner on door jambs..have you tried it?...it just wouldn't be a product i would think to use but my wheels are spinning now..lol...thanks for your comment and support
afraid it would peal the paint
Yea empty the whole can out
Just subbed
i use a pressure bottle for the water pressure
How come u don't answer my comments any more Scott?
Alex Bryan im so sorry..im trying to get to everyone. .did you have a question about this video? ..i certainly want to help if i can..thank you
Scott Bley no it's ok.
Scott Bley great! Can't wait! Hopefully works great save even more money!
you can get a hold gallon of mean green cleaner for 5 bucks and you can mix it down tfs buddy
i use mean green its the best for the price
i tested mean green and it was horrible but I'm happy its working for you
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing mean green is just a cleaner try awesome cleaner only a dollar at dollar tree nothing beats awesome cleaner try that
awesome cleaner doesn't work for me..im happy its working for you
I’ve seen worse door jambs then that one . Not saying mine .... lol I always clean out my door jambs
I am not sure I would buy this at 6.99 when the gallon of concentrate is $10...
Good point about the clinging of the foam though
Alex Bryan foam tip spray bottle, getting one of those and concentrate would still be much cheaper
I have not seen you lately you must have moved on from you tube
Meguiars APC
Larry Duran you must be new to the channel
Why you say that?
Look through his videos. He compares megs apc with super clean
Driveway Reflections Detail I am of aware of his other videos. In my opinion, superclean cannot compete with Meguiars base on the efficiency and price.
A gallon of super clean is 8 bucks, apc is 25 so.........?
tuff stuff will do the samething for less money ha ha ha ha
Is the foam available in stores yet ?
nmore69 he said oriellys and AutoZone I believe but I'd imagine pep boys soon and not too long probably walmart
Yes
