Lol me and my friend took a trip together and we did that like coordinating outfits and everything we even had a contingency outfit made with pieces of the others if we needed an extra for whatever reason (since we didnt want to pack more than necessary but wanted to have a backup plan if we went somewhere we werent anticipating)
the dance studio i used to go to would tell us that if you arrive late, get your shoes on and join quietly. so much better than being like “oH! i am SO sorry!”

ok so there’s this girl in one of my dance classes that never comes in the uniform and always comes in kpop band tops or sports bras and when the teacher corrects she literally laughs and doesn’t even fix her mistake and there was also one time we had a performance at a charity event and we had to come in black pants and the black academy shirt and she came in pink pants and the green academy shirt and it made the group look really bad because she was dressed completely differently
As someone who’s been in enough dance classes to know what this is, She wants to be the center. Full stop. She dresses differently because everyone else is the background and she’s the “star”. It’s narcissistic and insufferable I hope the teacher did something about it.

I think the problem is more the being late than the caring about the looks. It can be a motivation to go to class when you're feeling kinda lazy, cuz you will be excited about dancing in the cute outfit you picked.
At least they r able to do that 😭 at my studio it’s just black leo (certain brand and we have 2 design options) pink tights that fade and turn to white, buns and maybe a certain black skirt and shorts (we can only wear shorts in jazz, we have to wear long skirts in character, and the short skirts are for ballet)

BY THE WAY... There is nothing wrong about being a dancer just for costumes... this just means your art should be mostly about the costumes and all the other visual details on the stage... And it is totally fine because you are a visually expressing dancer.
no but that's literally my daily routine when i'm dressing up... i would never do that at a paid for class though..........(i'm still a bit cheeky with what i show up wearing but i'm never late and i would never disrupt class)
