Awee I hope you had an amazing wedding. I’ll be needing this, I tried to do it with my girlfriend but I’m not a good dancer so it was a muddled mess. Luckily for me she found it adorable 🥰 lol 😂. I’m also taking my best friend to prom so she can help me practice ahaha xx
The takeaway from this video I got is to be gentle with girls. Which makes sense. Us guys and especially us young lads can sometimes get exited and confuse using aggressive moves to try to show confidence but really if you listen to girls then being gentle is actually much better. Not just in dancing. Great tips!
This is going to sound a bit weird. When I was in 9th grade, I had dance class. I live in a small town so there was only 20 some people in my class. We had to draw names from a jar for a partner. I drew this girl that I actually liked at the time, let’s call her Briana. So I was extremely nervous because we were learning how to slow dance, and I didn’t want her to think I liked her. So I didn’t put much effort into it. It felt really nice, even though I didn’t know how. She told me, “I know this sounds really odd, but let’s do this again sometime,.” So I said nervously, “uh I’ll have to think about that one.” That is when I realized that I just replied with the stupidest answer in the history of ever. My buddy was going to be throwing a party the next Friday, so I thought I could invite her, but she ended up going out of town to see her grandparents. So the next chance I ever get, happened to be a whole 3 years later. (This sounds like a story book, I know) I was in 12th grade and there was a dance, it wasn’t prom, but it was a dance to celebrate our graduation. I asked her to dance and she said, “so you’ve finally made up your mind?” We danced and I was so amazed that she still remembered me saying what I said. After the celebration was over, I drove her home and asked to go to dinner the next day and she said yes. A year and a half later, I’m with the best woman I could ever have wished to be with. I watched this video to refresh my memory because her sister was getting married next weekend. I don’t know why I decided to share this, but I thought it would be a nice story to save for ours kids when they are old enough.
3 hours before my wedding i am watching this and praying i dont screw up. Edit: can confirm this video works and thankfully I had the confidence to pull it off :)
I don't think romantic love is real or special, and I think romantic relationships are a bad thing. I think humans should just stop being in romantic relationships. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it. Romance seems like an ugly thing. Most fathers don't want their daughters to have anything to do with boys outside of being friends. Many fathers won't allow their daughters to date when they are in high school or still living with them. It does seem that nearly all fathers are hoping that their daughters never date or get married and remain single for their whole life. Romantic relationships seem like a bad thing since there is a lot of dangers when it comes to them. The overprotective father thing is proof that romantic relationships are a bad thing, and that this world would be a much better place without them. People (especially women) should avoid being in a romantic relationship and be single for life since romantic relationships are dangerous.
My aunt taught me when I was in 7th grade before I went to my school dance, I’m watching this because my girlfriend is coming over this weekend and she wants to go drive around the country, and I’m plaining to stop at this road where my grandparents had their first slow dance and their first kiss, but I want to slow dance with her at the same place.
@@lukepolonchek105 I’m sorry it took a while to respond. But when I picked her up from her house we went to the movies to see A Quite Place 2 (great movie) but when it was done, we went to a Italian restaurant for dinner. It was around 8 by then and she wanted to go Bass Pro to get some baits since were going to Lake of the Ozark, but after we were driving back I stopped on a road out in the country and I stepped out and picked her up and took her in front of the head lights with the music still playing I grabbed her hand, she leaned in put her head on my chest, and she started crying and when I asked her what’s wrong she told me that she was waiting for something like that to happen. But we just got back from fishing at a lake by us, so we’re gonna go back and just watch anime now.

I’m one of those dudes that graduated high school during covid so I never had an actual walk on ceremony nor did I get a prom dance. My university is hosting a formal entitled “The prom we never had” and I’m literally watching this before I hit the floor. I’m super nervous but really excited. Thanks for this tutorial! The formal is in a couple days haha!
Never have i ever smiled and blushed continuously for 12 minutes and 28 seconds. I was about to sleep when this video came on my feed and as soon as i saw it, i knew i had to watch it. Very informative and boosted my confidence thanks!
Absolutely phenomenal advice. And having the females perspective is extremely educational and helps with understanding the mentality of both sides. Thank you for the well made video, I learned a considerable amount. I was originally just going to watch, but you mentioning "get in your steps" motivated me to practice with the video, and it opened my mind. Huge difference practicing with and just viewing. Thank you!
Here in Germany it's a rite of passage for 14 year olds to go to "Dance School" for a couple of months to learn ballroom dancing and a bit of etiquette, culminating in an "Abtanzball" (dance graduation ball). This is mostly a thing in smaller towns, but most of us who did that at least have the basics of how to dance at events. Your video is great for people who did not get to learn it when younger.
AHHH I FINALLY FOUND SOMETHING GOOD FOR A SLOW DANCE- my boyfriend and I have a few parties these next couple months we need to go to, this is so simple and perfect.
Simple is elegant. Thank you! I was looking for a video on slow dance to show my fiancé. I was looking for exactly this, but TH-cam kept showing me these super complicated videos. This is simple and honestly, it’s perfect! Thank you. It’d be great if you could do more of these.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed :) We do have some more videos like this on our channel. Here's our "how to slow dance" playlist! th-cam.com/play/PLpRDMDJwhgOyULb9cwyFibyFMEjKZlLXn.html
trying to talk to a girl at a party in a few days who's one of the only ones tall enough to dance with me. No idea if we'll end up dancing but this gives me a little more confidence. Thank you!
I’ve swing danced for a million years and love all kinds of social dancing. My boyfriend doesn’t dance at all but he has express some slight interest in learning. I loved the lesson and I think I may send this to him because I think you did an amazing job putting together a simple and effective lesson that gets people moving in less than 15 mins for slow dancing in the kitchen or at a wedding. Great class!
The besy part about this video is that you both contribute to the teaching, it's not one person using the other as a prop for their video, both of you are discussing your methods uniquely.
Absolutely appreciate this so much!! My bf has always asked me to dance or he'd say he can "envision us doing a slow dance at -parties, future friends or our wedding-" and while I've always enjoyed the idea of it and know how to execute the basic box step (thank you mom for making me watch Fred Astaire movies growing up) I am extremely self conscious and have a lack of confidence when/if I dance, especially slow dancing. What's funny I feel more confident with hip hop style choreographed dances (maybe because it reminds me of an exercise rather than an actual dance) but slow dances I feel puts a little more pressure because while I know everyone else is doing their own thing, I still think of "oh god what I f-up and make a fool out of myself because everyone is watching!!" BUT hopefully, as I have come across this video, very simple, very easy way to learn, this can kinda help me get over that little bump in my own road and put my mind at ease a bit and I'll be able to ~confidently~ dance at a friend's wedding in Sept with him! :D plenty of time to cool my jets, practice and just go with it. Thank you for the vid!
@@Isuckatgames i literally just got back from prom not even 2 hours ago, I sadly didnt get to go with the girl i was hoping to go with but i danced with my friends instead. Afterall it was a great night!!
Junior here. I attend a small international private school and theres not really anyone for me. Im probably gonna end up slow dancing with the bois for the extreme lols 🤣
I wish it had been. I was great at physics, maths, chemistry, music etc. But what I NEEDED was a lot more of all these social graces. When I met my girl it was a matter of the blind leading the blind. Fun indeed but quite challenging.
Learned this in church growing up, along with Swing dancing basics with a few moves. Completely forgot about it until it mattered and I realized I already knew what to do and didn't feel nervous at all. Really good and simple skill to develop that you will not regret.
I discovered your channel as I prepare a father-daughter dance for my wedding! I also look forward to learning these dances with my fiancé. What a great channel! Thank you for being here!
Thank you SO much!! My son is getting married in 10 days and my friend who was suppose to teach them to not stand there in a circle backed out!!! You both are a lifesaver❤️
I love the depth you went into and how everything you talked about has an explanation. I'm writing a slow dance scene and this is super helpful for breaking it down to the small details. Thanks!
As I'm a competitive ballroom and Latin dancer I clicked on this video expecting it to be cringey and funny. But now I think that it is an amazing video because you explain the leading very well! A few years ago I started taking ballroom classes at the danceschool Elmayer which is really famous in Vienna. Compared to that dance school, which is really well-known in Austria and is famous for its waltz classes, you managed to explained so many things so much quicker than the teachers at Elmayer. Thank you so much!

this is super cute, simple and casual, and at the same time very romantic! Exactly what I needed, thanks guys! Gonna ask her to dance tomorrow during our time, wish me luck!
@@BallroomFeed it was the best time spent with a girl in years and it went exactly like I planned! We were sitting on a big rock by the river, listening to lofi girl music, and I asked "do you want to dance?" she was surprised, but agreed with no hesitation! I gently grabbed two of her hands, palm to palm left side, her left hand on my shoulder. I even told her why it shouldn't be on neck :D My right hand was on her left shoulder blade at all times :) We started with simple side to side moves, then I led her into forward movement, then we added the side movement after. The ground was not even so we eventually just started doing side-to-side moves, while talking. When she was comfortable with the rhythm, she have put her left hand higher on my neck. We danced like that for around 20 minutes, then I've put her right hand on my left shoulder, and gently grabbed her by waist with my left hand. I immediately asked if she was comfortable and she said yes Another 20 minutes of slow dance and talks, and as all good things - it had to end. No dips, no rolls. Simple and genius. This was very romantic, I wish I could tell you what the look in her eyes was. Truly a wonderful moment :) Thank you guys, you do not realize the moment that you allowed me to create
I've shied away from dance clubs because of the confidence thing. I know it's all in my head, but I am excited to lead on a slow dance at a club. Thank you, this is achievable and I have the confidence to lead.
I’m taking a girl to the Yule Ball in Sydney later this month. I’ve never properly slow danced with a girl before and want to get a dip in, so hopefully all goes well. Thanks for the help.
You guys are amazing! I’m going to a wedding in September and I’m the most uncoordinated person. I have no idea how to dance so this video is giving me the confidence and tips I need!
Me and my girl danced about a month ago, but it was mainly hugging and a walk in circles. We are going to a Winter Dance in December for the school we go to, and I thought I would look for tips and a how tk slow dance, and this video was amazing! I'm practicing the steps and I feel confident for when the time comes! You gave so many tips and great instructions and made them clear, and letting your dance partner have a say in the steps made it all the more better! Thank you for this video! You definitely earned my subscription to your channel!
Haha! The comments are great! My wedding is today at 5pm and I haven’t slow danced since high school. Nothing like waiting to last minute. Thanks guys! Life saver!
I dont have a girlfriend or something but i still watched and its nice to know i do this kind of naturally because sometimes i just do this when listing to music on my own lol
being assertive going forward is all about holding a frame (both of you firmly) and leading with your chest not your feet... super important for a follow to be able to be comfortable and not get stepped on or pushed around.
Thanks for this! I’m going to meet my boyfriend soon after months and I’m planning a special evening for us and nothing better than slow dancing that evening!!
Watching this two weeks before prom, I asked my crush out and for some reason she said yes. When it comes to dancing I'm a nervous wreck wish me luck boys
We danced a normal dance it went fine I guess and because of my friends I won prom king while my date got prom queen and the slow dance was uh yeah rough. Regardless I had a great time with her
y'all hooked me up here. Girlfriend and i went away for the weekend to see my folks for easter, and I had asked her to dance with me (my birthday fell on that weekend and she had asked what i wanted). So long story short, danced like a pro in the slight open space of a holiday inn room in west virginia to a randy travis song while we were both halfway through getting ready for church. This was instrumental in being able to be good at it!
Thank you so much for this video. It was my prom night and I could lead the girl all the time and she was impressed by the end of it... You guys are a saviour
I’m going to a Winter Formal with this girl I like in a few weeks and I have no clue how to dance in general so I will be watching this over and over again until that day. I just want to thank y’all in advance just in case I forget to come back and thank you afterwards.
Thanks very much for this video! I just started working with elderly people, and they have music & dancing in the afternoons. I have absolutely no rhythm or coordination, so I've always hated dancing. 😂 Seeing how happy it makes them, though, made me really want to learn, just for them. ❤

A funny thing about that confidence you mention and assertiveness, the rhythm and same page, actually the whole thing is a guid to a great relationship in general. many dancing together after talking with a marriage counselor would be great signs you are deeply concentrated with you partner. i love this video. i am going to binge all of em now💞
I have my 8th grade formal in five days and was told I have to slow dance and I was like what the heck is a slow dance this video was so helpful thanks so much. Hope I do good😬
Very Very nice video - simple and informative. Most importantly, your instructions for doing a 'dip' shows your respect for maintaining the' dignity' and 'concern' for your lady partner and her physical safety, while enjoying a slow dance ( or any other dance for that matter ). Very nice video - once again ! Warm regards.

Having my son watch this for a prom photo shoot and prom. I appreciate the instruction and how you broke it down it down and made it easy to follow.
Glad we can help!!
I have prom this saturday and have basically never danced before. thanks!
I know it’s been 9months but how’d it go
Never have i ever smiled and blushed continuously for 12 minutes and 28 seconds. I was about to sleep when this video came on my feed and as soon as i saw it, i knew i had to watch it. Very informative and boosted my confidence thanks!
So happy to help :)
Thank you!
Thank you so much for your feedback, it means a lot! So glad you enjoyed it! 😀
100%
I'm a guy, and I was swaying and stepping with them!
That's really cool! I wish all cultures did that. Thank you it means a lot! :)
I have my prom coming up, and it's my first time asking a girl out for prom
This would help a lot, guys
Thank u ❤❤❤
Happy to help!! 😀
Can’t believe how good and helpful this video actually is?? Was super straight forward, simple, and honest. Bravo
Happy to help! :)
AHHH I FINALLY FOUND SOMETHING GOOD FOR A SLOW DANCE- my boyfriend and I have a few parties these next couple months we need to go to, this is so simple and perfect.
Glad you found us! Enjoy :)
Thank you!
Happy to help! Wishing you all the best :)
Thanks so much! So happy to help :)
The besy part about this video is that you both contribute to the teaching, it's not one person using the other as a prop for their video, both of you are discussing your methods uniquely.
Thanks! We both like to contribute :)
Thank you so much for sharing with all of us!! And so happy you found this video 😊 You will kill it at your friend's wedding!
My senior prom is coming up soon and i really want to dance with this one girl, hopefully all goes well and thank you for this video!!
Thanks for watching! Best of luck :)
Same!
Did it go good for you?
@@Isuckatgames i literally just got back from prom not even 2 hours ago, I sadly didnt get to go with the girl i was hoping to go with but i danced with my friends instead. Afterall it was a great night!!
Junior here. I attend a small international private school and theres not really anyone for me. Im probably gonna end up slow dancing with the bois for the extreme lols 🤣
Your instruction should be mandatory in high school. Thank you so much, love your videos, so simple
Thank you for watching!!
Yes, it should be. Both sides can learn from this instruction.
I wish it had been. I was great at physics, maths, chemistry, music etc. But what I NEEDED was a lot more of all these social graces. When I met my girl it was a matter of the blind leading the blind. Fun indeed but quite challenging.
I wish it was too!!!
@@timothywade9618 Why not?
Learned this in church growing up, along with Swing dancing basics with a few moves. Completely forgot about it until it mattered and I realized I already knew what to do and didn't feel nervous at all. Really good and simple skill to develop that you will not regret.
At 73 still love to dance slow or fast. I just love it. Thanks for bringing real dancing back.
That's amazing!! :)
Awesome presentation. Haven't danced in 35 years, but my daughter is getting married next year. I don't want to embarrass either of us 😃
Thank you! You'll be great :)
I’m a girl and I’m learning a lot from this vid holy cow 😅 I’m here so I don’t embarrass myself at prom

I discovered your channel as I prepare a father-daughter dance for my wedding! I also look forward to learning these dances with my fiancé. What a great channel! Thank you for being here!
That's awesome congrats!! Thank you for watching our videos :)
Oh Gosh, FINALLY I find the right video about real slow dance. Thank you! ;))
Of course! Glad you found us :)
Thank you SO much!! My son is getting married in 10 days and my friend who was suppose to teach them to not stand there in a circle backed out!!! You both are a lifesaver❤️
Glad we could help!! :)
I love the depth you went into and how everything you talked about has an explanation. I'm writing a slow dance scene and this is super helpful for breaking it down to the small details. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
So happy to hear it! Thanks for watching and you’re positive feedback :)
"Or if you dropped her, gosh," I like this lady's voice.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed :)
we’re going to try to have prom this year and im so nervous... i’ve never danced before, but i really want to slow dance with my girlfriend. this video’s really teaching me a lot.

Watching this 30 minutes before homecoming pray for me🙏

REALLY CUTE! THE FACT THAT YOU WANTED TO IMPRESS...IS HALF THE BATTLE!
I’m a member of a group of people in Sweden, we usually host dances for people with disabilities, as a man, making your dance partner feel comftable is important, Our dances are more like discos than proms but they are great for meeting new people
My Girlfriend doesn’t dance, and I was the Clumsy Guy. But you two are actually teaching me how to dance, and how to teach her. After 2 years I’m ready to propose, and would love to dance with her that night. Thank you for showing me in a way I can understand. Wish me Luck!
That's so awesome! So happy we can help. Best of luck to you both :)
This has to be the most informational and straight forward dancing video I've ever seen, thanks a lot yo.

The dance steps were great. The commentary with it was priceless, esp. the girl's perspective!

this is super cute, simple and casual, and at the same time very romantic!
Exactly what I needed, thanks guys!
Gonna ask her to dance tomorrow during our time, wish me luck!
Thank you!! Let us know how it went :)
@@BallroomFeed it was the best time spent with a girl in years and it went exactly like I planned! We were sitting on a big rock by the river, listening to lofi girl music, and I asked "do you want to dance?"
she was surprised, but agreed with no hesitation!
I gently grabbed two of her hands, palm to palm left side, her left hand on my shoulder. I even told her why it shouldn't be on neck :D My right hand was on her left shoulder blade at all times :)
We started with simple side to side moves, then I led her into forward movement, then we added the side movement after.
I immediately asked if she was comfortable and she said yes
Another 20 minutes of slow dance and talks, and as all good things - it had to end.
No dips, no rolls. Simple and genius.
This was very romantic, I wish I could tell you what the look in her eyes was. Truly a wonderful moment :)
Thank you guys, you do not realize the moment that you allowed me to create

Me and my girl danced about a month ago, but it was mainly hugging and a walk in circles. We are going to a Winter Dance in December for the school we go to, and I thought I would look for tips and a how tk slow dance, and this video was amazing! @@BallroomFeed Thanks! I got the steps down solid myself I’ve been practicing all morning.
Great advice!
Thanks for this! I’m going to meet my boyfriend soon after months and I’m planning a special evening for us and nothing better than slow dancing that evening!!
Love that for you!! :)
Watching this two weeks before prom, I asked my crush out and for some reason she said yes. When it comes to dancing I'm a nervous wreck wish me luck boys

How'd it go, dude?
Legend has it, they're still slow dancing to this day
We danced a normal dance it went fine I guess and because of my friends I won prom king while my date got prom queen and the slow dance was uh yeah rough. Regardless I had a great time with her
@@eriko9161 why was it rough?
y'all hooked me up here.
That's so awesome!! So happy to hear it. Thanks for sharing :)

Thank you so much for your feedback and kind words! :)
Thanks and good luck for your next venture. Regards.
