Hello! I have this problem where my new (not genuine Dell) battery is not recognized by my Dell XPS15 laptop and won't charge it. Battery seems to hold its power, it came 20% charges. AC Adapter is working fine (checked in BIOS). BIOS and all others drivers are up to date. I did the shut down-cable off-remove battery-press power button 30 sec-put all power back in-start laptop sequence. I think i did everything I could. Its like my new battery is missing a special ''Dell chip'' for it to be recognized. Thing is, Dell doesn't sell batteries for my laptop model. I'm feeling totally helpless... Would you have any other clue for me ?
I have the same issue as well. Did you try disabling the Adapter warnings in BIOS? It didn't worked for me tho but it worked for few people. May be u need to try it if u haven't, hope that works for u atleast.
It’s either your battery or the battery connector not allowing the pc to store the battery Try to recalibrate the battery and discharge from the system by removing charger and remove battery then hold power button for 15 seconds each for 3 times with 10 seconds delay To calibrate the battery , charge it once , then keep charger connected for two hours do not turn on machine
In the BIOS it shows the faulty battery as a Non-Dell Battery

Try to find a preown OEM battery on eBay if possible
