The advantage of trikes and etrikes are huge and really have a positive impact on people. I sell bikes and consistently people that buy trikes are always the happiest customers. With that said, it will take a long time for shops to get used to working on them as they become more and more popular and it will be expensive to fix and transport. I'm lucky to work for a shop that does service them.
It's. Great that your folks are still very active. So many older people just stop doing what they love, just because of their age, instead of looking to overcome the challenges that come with age. Great video, hopefully it will inspire other people to get out and keep moving and getting excersize!
Hi. We live in Vancouver, BC. I have just ordered this exact model yesterday for my wife to replace a very similar fat tire eTrike that was sadly just stolen.
The previous model was a 500w fat tire eTrike from Culver Mobility. My wife has a disability where she can’t walk very far and never pedals her e-Trike. Here are the modifications and add-one that I did for the Culver, some of which are a “must” and some that aren’t needed for the M-340:
1. I replaced the brake levers with good quality ones with locking latches. These are absolutely needed if the rider is on a slight incline or decline, given the weight of the machine. I’m ok with the mechanical disc brakes on the three wheels.
2. For the old Culver, I wired in better, battery-connected, headlight and tail lights … the M-340 already has these, and they look even better.
3. I built a DIY trailer kit and added a DIY trailer hitch with a loading ramp to the the eTrike so my wife could tow her Travel Scoot mobility scooter behind the trike. She wants to be completely independent, even with her disability. I will build another one for the M-340.
4. I had the previous Culver controller replaced by a local bike shop to increase the torque by 10-20% because the original controller with the 500w motor was too weak for my wife to go up hills without pedalling, especially with the trailer attached and scooter loaded. The M- 340 with a 750w motor should easily have enough torque without any mods.
5. We already had a hitch-mounted Hollywood brand bike/trike rack on our SUV that handles a fat tire electric bike and a fat tire electric trike, so we have been with driving to distant bike trails with both of them loaded.
6. The Culver came with a thumb throttle that was too difficult to use so I replaced it with a split throttle handle-bar grip throttle. The M-340 already has a split throttle.
7. For safety, on the previous eTrike I installed more reflectors for the wheel spokes and several stick-on reflectors for side and rear surfaces on the eTrike… will do the same for the M-340 (and for a new DIY trailer… the previous one was also stolen at the same time as the trike).
8. I had replaced the original “normal” seat on the Culver with a back-rest one that my wife prefers…. this is included with the M-340
About the only thing that would have liked to see on these large, heavy eTrikes is a reverse switch.

We bought a 95 hoping it would be the ticket for me and my wife. She has MS and has trouble getting on. Maybe he could do a little trade and rebuild it.
Upright, delta trikes always make me nervous because it's so easy to clip the inside wheel on a corner and get absolutely yeeted off the bike, even if you're not going very fast. Wasn't a problem when I was 4 years old, I'd just bounce across the sidewalk, dust myself off, and keep right on riding. I'm not sure that kind of tumble would work out as well for me these days though.

Is it peddle assist only or does it have a throttle?? My wife has MS and is worried that when her legs give out, she won’t be able to get back home. Balance is an issue so we have been thinking about a trike or perhaps a hand crank trike. Two years ago we got her an E-bike that she loves but is too heavy for her to hold up when she stops. As such, she hasn’t been able to ride outside for over a year. Just wandering if you think it might be worth a look into?

They need to make a Etrike with suspension
They do, it,s the M365 and it has both front and rear suspension.
I have wanted to get my Dad an E-bike, but for now he still rides a regular bike.
Worse design ever Who’s gonna pay 3000 for a bike like that ? Specially with the derailleur almost hitting the ground. Insane I rather get a quad bike much cheaper waaaay better design. Shane on this company
People like my dad would buy one of these. He loves to ride bikes but has lost mobility and can no longer balance on a two wheel bike. He rides almost every day.
Those brakes are a no go. Dont buy it.
You can always buy an hydraulic brake kit and install it.
