Nice video, I really like that cherry red paint, but if you really want a state of the art trike, go check out the A8 Trike from AiPAS New York. It has a Ananda 500W Mid-drive motor that has 130 nm of torque and dual independent rear axel for hair pin turning. I have one and it’s amazing! 😃
Small correction: the button under the throttle is to engage and disengage the throttle for safety reasons. It has no other effect. If you want to disengage the motor you change the mode to peddle assist 0. I agree that it would have been perfect had Addmotor included a Shimano gear shifter.
I put a rickshaw 48v750watt midship with a frame alteration cutting bathe back frame off upper section and refashioned to hold the motor it does up to 35
I have a few questions. Is this a mid drive trike? Does a rear motor trike perform as well as a mid drive? I’m not interested in power as I am interested in climbing hills and having a longer run battery with more power.
No this a rear drive trike with a rear differential. It's got a 750w motor so it has plenty of power and torque to go up hills. Max speed is 23-25mph which is insane for a trike. So you should be good.
@@HobartsReviews Sure thing. And yeah, that's a reason this one has taken the top of my list of possible Etrikes, that and the 90+ mile rang,e which I know is under ideal circumstances, but if it gets me to some places I want to go, and it seems it will, then it'll work.
No I always cut it in half for real world. It all depends on your weight, pedal assist mode, speed etc. But I would say 45-50 miles using mostly throttle.
You can't lower the height of them, but you can adjust them backwards towards you. So theoretically you would lower the handlebars. But there is no adjustment in the neck To lower the height. Just rotate them back towards you to lower.
@@marcfruchtman9473 While it may be more unnatural at first, this should technically be more ergonomic for you over time to sit with the tops of your arms, more relaxed and your forearms forward. Rather than reaching down. It's definitely more of a cruiser style than what typical bicyclers will be used to.
This is literally perfect for somebody with mobility issues! It allows you to still get out and experience electric bikes without having to balance. The controls are easy to use. The throttle is integrated into the grip so you just turn your hand like a motorcycle. You have hand brakes like a bicycle. You have a few different speed modes so you can leave it on speed mode one and go slow. You don't even have to pedal. You can ride with just the throttle.
You didn’t mention customer service. Next to having a quality and hopefully trouble free trike, comes CS. If CS is poor, then that trike isn’t worth a hill of beans. I’ve done some research and so far Lectric bikes has the best CS. I would feel reasonably safe purchasing their XP trike knowing I will be looked after down the road.
Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately I don't know about the customer service because I have not used their customer service. I interact with a representative from their company in charge of influencers so I wouldn't know.
I have a 420 chain with 20 tooth gear on the motor and a bit bigger on the freewheel that’s why I’m going to sling my body low better aerodynamic and less pedal
It's really nice! The step over height is only 16 inches. So very low and easy to step over. With the parking brake on you can get all the way on the bike without it even moving.
I see one glaring issue with this trike. The rear wheel base is way to narrow for 22mph. Looks way to narrow for 10 mph. Widen that by about a foot or more and you might have something there.
Done to get thru doors. good selling point. Poor handling point Overpowered, high CG . look at the vid as he tries to take a turn ~ 6:20 Seat that makes the lean tough. Imagine Gramps getting. thru that turn, or hefting the 86 lb trike around Think sidecar rig for handling, the very popular side car rig.
Is this you Hobart? I bought this trike after watching your video. Biggest mistake I've made in years. now I'm going back and forth with addmotor, been a month and no closer to getting this trike fixed today than a month ago. Thanks Hobart.
Haha... No actually. It goes 24mph and has a backrest. It's fast and comfortable! plus I take out the trash and recycling, runs the dog and make rums to the store... at 24mph.. haha. Addmotor makes E-Trike for the younger generation.
WOW! Thank you so much for your honest review of our #Addmotor #CITYTRI #E310! 🥰
Thanks! You make very nice high quality FAST electric trikes! I love it!

Thank you my friend! Yeah red is my favorite color. Lol. I'll have to check those out. That's pretty cool.
Great video, extremely helpful. Hubby is buying me this for my 69th birthday! Thsnk you
Hey Suzanne, thanks so much! It's a really nice trike. Just be careful on turns. 👍
Now we're hiding! 🙂
Love to see a 60v 2000+ watt trike! RUGER
Haha.. that would be a beast!
Balance!! Can I ride on golf course with 4" fat tire?
Is a tricycle with 4" tire suitable on golf course hill?
Liberty trike have 10 beautiful colors❤
Great!

Mooncool TK1 folding trike ALSO has a front suspension fork
I reviewed that one and I did not like it at all. From assembly to the way it works, it was not as good as this one in my opinion.
@@HobartsReviews
But your review claims that no otter competitor has a suspension fork.
The only disadvantage I could see with that trike is not being able to do a powered two wheel turn with the differential.
What do you mean? I went around plenty of corners on two wheels under power lol
I put a rickshaw 48v750watt midship with a frame alteration cutting bathe back frame off upper section and refashioned to hold the motor it does up to 35
Holy crap! That's too fast on 3 wheels.. lol

It helps that Addmotor offers a lot of free goodies with this machine.
Yeah they do! Bike pump, bike washing kit, rear view mirrors and the back rest on the seat it key (my favorite) Thanks for watching!

might be apart of te price
Go semi recumbent and good chance you won’t work that hard that’s what I’m getting ready to do on my 2nd phase of my Belize three wh electric
Awesome
Hey So I have a question about that single charge 90 Miles. Was that like around 45 miles or 60 Miles Real Road Test? Or did it live up to 90 Miles?
No I always cut it in half for real world. It all depends on your weight, pedal assist mode, speed etc. But I would say 45-50 miles using mostly throttle.
Thanks for the review. I am not sure I like how high those handle bars are. Is there a way to drop them lower?
You can't lower the height of them, but you can adjust them backwards towards you. So theoretically you would lower the handlebars. But there is no adjustment in the neck To lower the height. Just rotate them back towards you to lower.
@@HobartsReviews Thanks. Did it feel "natural" to you to ride that way? Or did you sort of feel like you were not quite right when seated?

@@anonymixx8106 If you like the Cruiser style, it makes sense. I personally don't like that tho, so I won't be comfortable with it.
Would this be a good choice for someone with some mobility issues? How confusing would the controls be for someone older? Thanks!

How are those handlebars that can’t be adjusted?
Sorry, I don't understand the question
I need this asap😮
Haha
How do to enable (turn on or off) the headlight ?
I don't remember off the top of my head. Isn't it in the manual?

I see one glaring issue with this trike. The rear wheel base is way to narrow for 22mph. Looks way to narrow for 10 mph. Widen that by about a foot or more and you might have something there.

This trike has turned out to be very unreliable for me in less than a month and trike does not even move something's broke
Why is it not reliable?
Didn't last me 2 been sitting under a tarp in my yard for a month I don't know it broke down already

My biggest turn off is it is only 1 gear, not 7 gears like Lectric XP. ... No thanks I'll PASS.
Yeah I agree. The rest is REALLY nice but just 1 gear ruins pedaling.
I didn’t see the price!
$1999.00

No, unless you mind the impaired rider vibe.
Like side car rigs, looks cool , handles like a pig
