Sirs & Madams Entertainment Honestly, I’m the exact same way. I’m usually too busy soaking everything in and immersing myself to really do anything other than stare. But rest assured it is affecting me. You’d notice it with my body language, tears, and smiles. It’s just how I am as well. Bruce has compared himself to Qrow in the past, so maybe he’s just expressing his character as the “stoic too cool for school type”. 😆

In every Volume before this one, they have released the opening before the first episode comes out. This year, they specifically waited because of the Penny reveal.
Yeah they especially stressed watching the OP after watching the episode because of spoilers
However, it seems nearly the entire fight scene was already shown in teasers. Didn't leave much to the imagination.
6:14 I like how Jason mentions Half-Life and then a guy wearing Half-Life colors shows up.
Put a red wig on a penny and just leave it on the table for Matthew and just see the math equations circle around his head!

The best kind of hug is a tackle hug in my opinion but Ruby might have a different opinion.
Fun fact: Pietro is voiced by the pawnshop owner from King's Quest VI.

He did more stuff indeed. He voices (Reggie) in Remnant from the ashes. (Rwby was the 2nd place I heard his voice from and it took me awhile to get where I had heard him from first.) But his voice his quite unique!
Penny’s return was the best thing.
I actually don't mind Qrow's new voice actor. If you don't pay attention, he still sounds the same if not less raspy. Don't get me wrong, the raspy voice is fine but I feel I prefer it like it is now.
And in case your familiar, he's the same voice actor for Mordecai from the Borderlands series!
As ive seen vic was a better VOICE actor new one is a better voice ACTOR

I think my favorite part of the new opening is how they show the RWBY girls transform across all three of their looks from v1 to now.

And if their outfits didn’t match before than the Scythe welding Reapers definitely match in color scheme

I was always kind of surprised that you folks didn't do a reaction to the V7 trailer that posted a few weeks ago, showing the girls' new hair and outfits. No real spoilers in it, so I figured you'd do a reaction, but it sounded like it was a surprise.

I was not expecting Penny to return so soon but I was predicting it ever since even before she was initially destroyed. Although I was wrong on her having a completely different personality with a wiped memory so the emotional impact is more uplifting and cute instead of tragic like in Grimm.
Her new outfit is good but her face and her eyes look even more China Doll like but I guess that's intentional, definitely some Astro boy influence
Still I'm hoping for an adult Ghost in the Shell /Æ0N Flux Fanservice Penny. 🤞

Luis Fz Reminds me of the semblance I gave a RWBY OC in the past. It allowed them to intuitively accomplish the best possible action for a situation, but it wouldn't grant knowledge. He could do things but wouldn't necessarily be able to tell you the how or why. It'd also be limited to the possibilities. If he couldn't block something completely, it'd at least give him the most effective one possible for him. He could create something or disassemble another but wouldn't be able to explain why without aquiring that info independent of said semblance. Though it could give clues based on what happened, etc.
I've already watched through vol 8 with you guys but I didn't ever really see vol 7 with you so I'm just now seeing it and can't wait to see you guys for vol 9 in Oct/Nov

Normally I would bring up how much Penny's return takes away from V3, but since I haven't been a fan of the past few seasons all that much I'm just willing to take this and run with it. It feels great to have Penny back!
An interesting takeaway. Two teams of Huntsmen as well as Qrow where taken down and neutralized in seconds by the AceOps. Pretty impressive. I expected Ironwood's military to be prepared for most things, including handling a Huntsman, but wow.
Ambushes work amazingly well against all types of targets. It is a good thing creatures of Grimm do no ambush.
(Related to this episode) Have you guys ever watch the anime Trigun? If you have, notice the similarity/closeness between this episode fighting track and Trigun opening theme?

I still find it concerning that they were able to get into city airspace and fly above it for minutes before the Atlas military even noticed a change in their route
The only argument I see is that they are literally tracking hundreds of ships flying in the same airspace at the same time, whereas normal air traffic control would MAYBE have 5-8 at any point on a very busy day? Which is how I imagine Cinder and Neo will have no issue as well.
@@Matthewrents Yeah, but (Very Mild Ep 2 Spoilers) if the entire point of recalling the military was to prevent infiltration, you'd think they'd pay special attention to the one ship that is changing it's course to head right into the city unauthorized
@@stomyn I guess one explanation is Atlas places a lower priority on Mantle's security over Atlas proper. If an unauthorized ship tried to enter Atlas directly they'd probably shoot it down. To Atlas Air Control, Manta 5 One *was* authorized until it deviated course.
Something I just noticed... the air traffic controller said “Omega 12.” Given that Omega usually means the end of something, is that a hint that RWBY will end in Volume 12?

I thought I heard or read something a few years ago that RWBY was aiming for 12 volumes. Consisting of 4 arcs of 3 volumes each. Each arc centering mostly in a kingdom. Could be wrong.

On a separate note, did you notice the side arm that the leader of the Ace-ops team had? I believe that is the weapon in question whose design came from someone else's work. There is some buzz about RT stealing the weapon for this show.
