Yang's "This one's mine" comment is referencing that idea that Neo made her look foolish in 2x4 with the fake out illusion escape and she wanted another shot at Neo for payback. Only to have Neo make a fool out of her again because she took advantage of Yang's out of control rage. Again.
Wiess's time dilation glyph is a finisher. She pulled it out too soon and got caught in the snap back, leaving her hanging in mid-air for Chain-saw to grab her.
Good point. Never realized that. Though to be honest, the three girls had the wrong dance partners. Yang out classed with finesse. Weiss by brute strength. And Roman was getting into Blake's head over the whole white fang thing. Even though they could use more combat training to adapt, they might have faired better with a switch up. Any suggestions on who might have been better against who?
DMM Tech I think Weiss vs Roman , Yang vs Chainsaw , Blake vs Neo they all would’ve faired better.

@@iAYEJAY Yang v Chainsaw, maybe Yang pulls out the win, but Blake and Weiss lose. I wouldn't even be sure of Yang, as the closed train car limits her manueverability vs chainsaw. But for sure Roman beats Weiss, and without Raven to save her, Blake is literally killed by Neo. Blake may last longer than Yang did, but a loss to Neo is death, closer fight or not.
BSKE C well I don’t think they’d win their matches still. I just think each girl could’ve done slightly better in those matches.
Yang vs Chainsaw could go either way honestly.
Weiss vs Roman is obviously the best match up for Weiss and she could possibly beat him but it could still go either way.
And I would say Neo vs Blake simply because they both are pretty defensive but Neo outclasses Blake and all of team RWBY easily actually.

Weiss gave Blake the dust cartridges right when they went down into the train and Blake loads them into the hilt of her weapon to trigger the different effects with the shadow clones. A brilliant trick, really.
the Yang/Neo fight is one of the best animated in the series. Monty (RIP) at the top of his game.
One thing to keep in mind regarding how well or poorly the RWBY girls do in their fights in this and the next chapter is that they've spent the last 12+ hours in constant battles against the Grimm up in the ruins and got very little rest before ending up in the underground and then the train battle and then into the next chapter's events. Chapters 8-12 take place in a less than 24-hour period and by the end Team RWBY is very much running on fumes.
Weiss is also very weak to anti-air defenses. She leaps to dodge one attack and then is open to the follow-up. It happened in her trailer against the Arma Gigas, too.
"Blake! Detach the caboose! It will kill us all!" I always giggle at that since Ooblek is voiced by the same person that voices Caboose on Red vs Blue and he tends to kill all the wrong people. ^_^
One of my favorite lines in the season. Wasn't it episode 2 or something of the first season of RvB where Caboose (through Shiela) killed Church, rewarding him with the title of "Team-Killing f*cktard" by Tucker?

Yeah neo vs yang was doomed from the start for yang neos fighting style counters yangs since neo is all about dodging while yang like punching a lot
Wiess vs chainsaw guy she lost cause wiess is more of the support for the team she doesn't fair well in 1v1s she's much better in team fights were she can assist her team
Blake v torchwick blake beat him using the dust to vary her fighting style and catch roman offguard so yeah
Yeah also mystery lady heres all I'll say she has no connection to adam her sword just looks the same cause i think both swords are made of some high grade material
It's not really about Neo's fighting style countering Yang, it's about Neo just being an amazing 1 on 1 fighter. Neo is just flat out better than Yang, it's not just some counter matchup.

Eternally Kiwi it’s assumed she’s dead.. but is reality she just never came back after a mission. For someone watching this new for the first time this could have been the start of a plot twist where she’s actually alive... after all she does have Ruby’s color scheme etc..

Interesting that as far as I can tell, Neo never used her semblance (physical illusion?) against Yang like she did at the end of the mech fight in V2C4. This was all Neo's fighting style, and it worked really well against Yang. While I'm not sure Neo was actually toying with Yang, she never seemed to be close to losing the fight. And then Yang was saved by the miraculous appearance of the unknown fighter. I was never really happy about that conclusion, it seemed way too contrived, but it is what it is.
What was Romans plan for the rest of the White Fang members after the train hit the barricade to the city. The whole train was meant to be destroyed so idk why they took a ride on it anyhow. I don't think Aura can protect most of the White Fang members and others after all that XD.

I’m kinda thinking the first few were designed to survive the breach, carrying the White Fang, who would take the mechs to ‘defend’ the city, making the huntsmen & military look bad. But taking out Roman and company made it an uncontrolled impact. All pure speculation, but my thoughts.
The moment I saw Ravens sword I was like NODACHI SWORD!!!!!
I always check reactions to see if they notice the changing eyes😂. It’s a great pastime.

Going through the playlist for nostalgia's sake - I'm sure you can imagine why - and it doesn't seem like anyone's mentioned it; but Zwei's aura must have been unlocked. (Wouldn't be surprised if the girls did it, but there's another theory that it's something their father does professionally.) The fire was from Oobleck's weapon, Zwei was just the delivery system.
One of the best parts about this episode is Oobleck's line to Blake about detaching the caboose, since Oobleck's voice actor plays a character in one of RT's other shows named Caboose that is notoriously stupid, but also deadly as hell when he wants to be, especially to his own team. xD Also, fun fact about Neo, if you pay attention to her eyes, they change color every time she blinks, and are speculated to also reflect her emotions, since she doesn't talk.
