So I did everything here, and when I launched the PS2 launcher my system just shut off and didn't even have the red light. Had to unplug and plug back in the power to be able to turn on the ps3 again.
The game I tried was Star Ocean btw, list said it should work fine.

You have to create a psn, go to settings and activate it as a primary. Should work

@@gilbertreyes6750 yes, you need internet to make a psn. But once you do all the steps of activating you primary. you can turn off your internet and still play. Least it works for me

I have the same problem I even downgrade HEN from 2.3.1 to 2.0.2 still didn't work PS3 shutdown whenever I try to play a PS2 game I have to unplug and plug the adapter to turn it on again

What ever you guys do do not install the game as a pkg on a fat ps3 It shuts down your ps3 and you just wasted your time the pkg method of this video where billy makes the iso.bin.emc and then you make a pkg of it install it only on slim or super slim ps3 do not install the pkg version on the fat ps3

For ps1 games you need to put the iso files into the folder psxiso and Mount it with multiman or webman then in the xmb press x in the black disk icon

I get the same problem with not only ps2 games but any ps3 demo I try to unlock...I believe the issue has something to do with off being higher than 4.82 because non of the offline enablers work since I'm on 4.84 ...it would be nice if the ps3 hacking community on youtube actually answered questions on their comments section...would probably help them received more money through there patreon or whatever but yeah I've given up with ps2 emulation and demo unlocking and just sticking to ps3 pkgs I can find on psndl

Can I play using original PS2 disc's?
You would have to use imgburn to convert your disc to I so format. Just put game disc in your computer and run imgburn and choose "create image file from disc"

I think you could get away with playing straight isos on any ps3 except the super slim I may be wrong the other slim model may not work as well I forget how many models ps3 are out but im kind of shit out of luck bc I have a super slim and my ps2 needs a new disc drive. But I know there's a way to just put isos and play them with multiman or managunz you can even put your disc in and multiman will do the work for you. Everything is on google or TH-cam
