- Monica runs into Janice and she immediately invites herself to Chandler and Monica's wedding. Monica and Chandler try and come up with a plan to get Janice not to go to their wedding. Rachel and Phoebe make friends with, Erin, the woman Joey was seeing and try to convince him to go out with her again.

I always wished we would've actually seen Janice's initial reaction to Monica being engaged to Chandler. She was always great for adding mayhem to the "Friends" plot.

4:23 Nice to see someone calling Rachel out on how bad it was for her to go after her assistant! It was so frustrating that her and Tag managed to wriggle out of getting found out by her boss. Just because it would have been awesome to see Rachel finally face consequences for her actions for once since she seemed to get away with everything in the series 🙄

I love how the color palette of every scene in Friends has a calm visual appeal. It feels so cozy ...like home.

It's quite an involved story. Colonel originates with the Italian word colonna, meaning a column. In Italian military terminology, colonnella was the officer commanding a column of troops. From there it passed into French, and through a process called dissimilation (look it up) the first 'L' sound was transformed into an 'R', coronnel. Later the word was picked up by the English, initially staying with the French pronounciation, but when Italian military manuals were translated into English, the original Italian spelling became favoured, giving us colonel. Monica is the only person in sitcom history that I know who allowed her partner’s ex to attend a wedding, even if it was by peer pressure. Sitcoms of the 21st century seem to establish the golden rule that you should never invite your ex to a wedding or even hang around them. The one show that makes this rule glow is HIMYM. 😂

These scenes illustrate why this is the best television show ever.
Ik it’s a sitcom and was done for laughs, but the way the friend’s treated Janice like she was a parasite SIMPLY for her laugh/voice is absurdity. Janice was sweet and treated them all with respect. I truly believe Janice was Chandler’s soulmate. She always magically appeared when something major was going on in Chandler’s life, whether it was bad or good.
But she was married multiple times and cheated on Chandler. She left him, remember? He wanted her despite the cheating. So no, they were not soulmates.

Janice was far and away the funniest recurring character of the show. Genius comedic acting from Maggie Wheeler.
Okay much as I love Chandler and a fair amount of time I'm on his side over Monica on these kind of issues... I'm not sure he really has a leg to stand on the whole "oh either directly confront her or do a basic lie about's what happening that will wind up working out" concerning Janice. Remember Chandler's the one who tried doing a preliminary strike ending his relationship with Janice the last time they saw one another... and that wound up with him having to go to Yemen for like a weekend at least because of how that blew up in his face.

Oh, please, the whole boots episode made Chandler in charge. In fact, many times Chandler proved he was the man, like when Monica messed up the adoption by lying and Chandler fixed it. He just never needs to be in charge and Monica does.
@@kelleygreengrass when cleaned the house and decided to call back up and use old photos because he was so afraid of being an inch wrong showed his dominance and when he broke the plates. Monica treated him like a child, she even admits to grounding him in one episode.
