Great review. I’ve just ordered the 1.0 155 MHEV ST Line-X. So looking forward to it arriving.
Getting the mid range 2023 Puma ST line in a few months when it gets off the boat, thanks for the review hopefully the version you did in your review isn't too different to the version I'll be getting here in Australia
Great review! Well done 👍 I took delivery of my Puma ST LINE X in April - loving it so far. One tiny correction - the car your tested has the optional 19 inch alloys which I’ve got and look much better than the standard 18’s.

Fun fact - my 2021 ST Line Puma had a plastic cover over the engine bay and aluminum pedals. My 2024 Puma ST Line X has neither 🤔 Still love the car though and year round I'm getting around 5.3l per 100km (or 53mpg). Also, my 21 Puma had the 12v battery drain issue putting the car into deep sleep mode. There is a software update that fixes this problem, but many dealers don't know about it.
Great review, was looking at a Qashqai but am being swayed by, looks, mpg, drive feel of a Puma...

Does the adaptive cruise control comes standart in the st-line series? I mean not the st-line X de normal one?
not the adaptive one. You have to pay extra for the adaptive cruise control. Even on the St-Line X.
So where do you drive at 124mph?

The hybrid 155 st line is very bad on fuel
My best average driving like an Old Lady.
Is around 34mpg (uk).
If you put your foot down I was around 22.2 mpg and I was achieving better that or certainly no worse from a focus ST .
That isn't good but not what I experienced, and I tested it quite vigorously.

🤷♂️ I’m chucking in petrol like a fish out of water. Which made think hold on ? So I did some maths I came up with 22.2mpg .
My Focus ST was giving me around 25mpg urban. And that had the power . So o drove the car as gentle as I could I seriously couldn’t drive any more irritatingly slower , and I came up with 34mpg the Dash trip meter was showing 42. Which pleases me until I worked it out manually .
It’s not good enough for a small engine car
My Focus ST Had almost twice the power and did the same economy .
@@mark-1rc502 that's a bad experience, what did Ford say? Do they think the car has an issue?
They always review the top of the range cars not the standard titanium. I chose the 2008 as didn't want to go back In time to a manual handbrake in the puma. Plus also wanted a digital screen as standard. Puma needs to be more modern
Ford really have got it right here. Maybe its goodbye to Fiesta, cos this is ten times better.

Can’t really take anyone seriously with the absurd early comments you made about the original Puma, especially 1.7 or FRP.

@@youreventsguy2815 😂 Ian Callum and other fine engineers like Richard Parry Jones who created the original Puma have never designed or created dustbins, only very good cars. (The Tigra was a dustbin)

I'm afraid in good ole Blighty we don't pronounce it "PooMer". Ford is a British car correctly pronounced the British English "Pyoo-muh" way😁
The way Americans say sodder for solder or Adeedas for Adidas grinds my gears too, ‘solder’ has got the letter ‘L’ in it and old Adolf ‘Adi’ Dassler would be turning in his bleedin’ grave son.

Do not buy ford puma due to car battery problems if you buy a varta batter £380 fitted still doesn’t fix the problem
