I cant believe the annoying things you have highlighted the heater cuts of when your stopped at traffic lights maybe for less than a minute , your windows wont get misted up in that short time
Just from passed experience in previous cars, ventilation was always on even with auto stop/start enabled. Especially when setting off from ice /frost cold temp.
Test driven a puma before, most annoying thing is the mild regen braking. Youd probably get used to it but id personally like the option to turn it off
@DK388 it's definitely regen, there's a menu on the dash that shows the hybrid system working. Think it goes green when you lift off (regen) and blue when it's kicking in / helping
The wife just bought a new Puma ST Line and I took it out for a drive, it's certainly a strange feeling as the mild hybrid generator cuts in, but I soon got used to it, the digital display in sports mode is very nice, and I quite like seeing the battery generator appearing on screen. The missus gave strict instructions to just drive on the dual carriage ways, but I was really enjoying driving it and decided to take a trip on small farm roads up to the top of Firle beacon, the puma really handles well pulling hard up the steep country lane. When I got home the missus was raging, she had been tracking me on the Ford App 😬
Selection of sports modes. Just about all cars do that. Not just fords. Regards the hybrid, a quick bit of reading prior to buying a car might help. Buyers remorse. The mild hybrid helps initial acceleration when the turbo may take time to come in. Sounds like you need to return the car. As it’s quite obvious you are unhappy with it.
Seems odd you bought the car when they are so many things about it you dislike that would have been obvious to you if you”d read the tech spec before you bought.
It's an outstanding car, the best I've ever owned and I have driven a few brand new cars in the past year. I will have sold it by the time battery needs replacing.
The driving mode reverting back to normal is for a reason. It is so you don't start the car and forget it's in Trail mode.
Valid point 👍
My ‘18 plate Fiesta Titatium-X didn’t revert back, my ‘21 plate Fiesta ST Line-X does… it’s fucking annoying
@@robertybob Don't shoot the messenger.
@@robertybobwhy swear? It’s one thing for it “slipping out” when talking but really, typing it? Grow up lad
A Car uses 30% of its fuel to get from 0-15 mph, the mild hybrid electric motor assist is to reduce that initial fuel consumption.
I don't think any new fords have automatic door locking now , my 2019 focus doesn't, but you can lock them from a button on the drivers door.
Great to have time to find 5 things you think they got wrong! What about all the things they got right?
th-cam.com/video/twb6DgY2-DY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ARdYQUYVVwedg7DN 👍

I like my Puma ST-Line.
Great little run about motor 👍
I have one my only complaint is the road noise cabin is noisy than say the fiesta
Now you mention it 🙉, driving partners car of a similar class and age (nissan juke) Cabin interior and sound proofing is more refined in the Nissan 🙈
I've never had a car with automatic locking??
Could be hidden away in the vehicle settings and needs to be enabled 🤞
My old Jags did
Well just got a st gold edition and I cannot find 1 fault. But I can find 200 horses.
I wanted to get this as a family car but the auto lock feature just changed my mind on it😮
Best check it out locally, could be region dependant plus facelift puma is out which could change thing's 👍

You get used to it very quickly. I wouldn't be without now, I'm sure it has saved a lot of wear on my brakes over 3 years of ownership.
Not really noticed my much regen braking. If anything stronger form of engine braking.
@DK388 it's definitely regen, there's a menu on the dash that shows the hybrid system working. Think it goes green when you lift off (regen) and blue when it's kicking in / helping
@rossdev I'll agree compared to a full electric car, the regen was pretty mild and would probably become less noticeable after a while

😂
for me the Ford Puma is like a fiesta that eaten too many big Macs

Agree with drive modes and auto stop start are pretty much industry standard. Still good little run around for next few years at least.👍
A Ford dealership told me that the reason for the mild hybrid approach was purely to help meet emission targets.
Funny thing is previous car a 5 year old insignia 1.6 diesel is less polluting than a 2022 Ford Puma 1.0 petrol 🤷
Seems odd you bought the car when they are so many things about it you dislike that would have been obvious to you if you”d read the tech spec before you bought.
These are little annoyances you discover after a while. Still a fun drive and chassis is 👌
Don’t buy a puma due to car battery problems
No puma is very good
Hopefully issues have been sorted on newer models
These annoying things are pathetic 😂. U need to get out more
