Call her what you want, I love Unathi . The amount of confidence she has in who she is, is what I love the most. Whatever names the call her I really can't get over her. ❤️
“In another time and place you could have been married”.. the time is now☺️the chemistry is there. I enjoyed listening to both of you, you’ve got a beautiful friendship.
Say what you want about Uncle Gareth, but deep down he is the most empathic person, he understands the country, our people and all of our struggles. So much Vulnerability and Honesty in this conversation ❤ Dankie Baba
I was so busy on tik tok...and I saw this and just knew I would benefit by hearing these conversations. Im 35, so not too far from the 40s and this was refreshing and fulfilling. Thank you guys for creating a space for us
This has to be one of the most Authentic conversations i've watched and listened too in a while.Thank you for this sober empowering conversation.Unflittered and uncensored.
This show has boosted my confidence to remain myself, know my worth and stand for my beliefs. I relate to most of what was discussed. Thank you Gareth, Unathi
I would have loved for them to touch on the Sizwe thing and for Unathi to accept that she was in a bad space and had things gone her way Sizwe would have lost his job and painted into something he's not. It would have been great for her to apologize to Sizwe and show young girls that in the moment of anger to can destroy someone.....I believe that is part of adult conversations and I still love Unathi but that apology to Sizwe is needed.
This is gold. My childhood is very much Unathi, and Gareth made me love and listen to radio every morning before school. Such a wholesome lovely interview - oh man, haven't listened to anything this long in a while, but it didn't feel like it at all.
To be a black woman and to have a father who is present... Ooohhh my word... That is it right there. I wish people could get it. If you have a daughter and you are not present in their lives 💔
I was never a fan, in fact, I just realised that I may have been an Unathi Hater till watching this.. I'm now a big fan of Unathi.. Very powerful and intelligent woman.. What an inspiration and a great example.. Thanks for finding the need to do this.. This helped me..
"To think you even can"( cancel): the power in those words. I always pick up something from Unathi's interviews: she was born for this and thank you for always inspiriring us unconsciously...
This was so refreshing to watch, I am not one to watch podcasts because I have a short attention span. But I learnt so much from this debut episode. As Gareth said from financial fitness, the importance of having both present parents and actually listening to their advices. I think I want to meet Unathi's father more than I want to meet her. He comes across as a man full of wisdom. And Unathi did mention that her parents are modern, I guess the conversations in their household are always uplifting and she as a child is also listened to, her voice is as important. Thank you for this Gareth.
@@suezcontours6653 I also don't like this "strong" women phrase. It's always thrown when a woman had gone thru the most. And most people confuse this word with successful or being able to deal with some situations. Guys sometimes it has nothing to do with being strong or not but in life you gotta do what gotta do. It's a matter of wanting to survive, strong or not. My opinion.
@@zuzuh5755 Also, it shows WHITE people's mentality. They praise black women for being strong and independent "mules" but then punish the "social climbers" like Meghan Markle as if that's not our place to do. I am VERY cautious of white women who speak like this to black women. They are the main bullies of Meghan Markle because they face competition now
Tik Tok got me here.. I'm so glad for the algorithm. This was amazing to watch. Goodluck Unathi with your litigation. Great podcast Gareth. Here's to many more great episodes 🙏🏾🤘🏾🔥🎉❤️
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this candid conversation between two friends. Also… Unathi is fire! Her voice, her intellect, her presence, just her everything - she really is a force to be reckoned with.
No one tried to cancel Unathi. She was publicly called out because that of that clip that was leaked, which obviously contradicted what she wrote in that email. Overall she's a beautiful soul no one is out to get her. I hope they pay her what is contractually owed to her if any.
100% sometimes people use also these fancy words and phrases instead to excuse bad behaviour instead of an apology or owing up to their drama of their own making . They must just pay her it's the right to do. I wish her alot of healing and progress in her journey . when all the world is wrong , we need to start looking at ourselves
Haibo, Victor, fancy seeing you in these streets. I also enjoyed this conversation between the two - just wish she spoke more about what lead to her being fired from Kaya.
Unfiltered, raw and authentic.... exactly what l expected from Unathi. This would be behind the scenes conversations for some celebrities but Unathi telling it like it is on a public podcast
I always my colleagues at work that “it’s people thinking we stand alone and walk alone” . When you understand the impact of your lineage, no one can do or say anything to kick you down. They’ll try, and they’ll win at times, but they’ll be seated to watch you continue to rise and be at peace at the same time. We have often misunderstood Sis Unathi at times all because of how media portrays here and for her to continue going, continue allowing herself to live her narrative while people make their own judgements…my level of respect has gone to another level for you.
Thanks for this Gareth & Team. @Eugine, what you said was profound my G, did I not relate😢😢 I take with me “Never be afraid to take a break & take care of yourself” thank you👏🏾👏🏾 @Unathi, you are a Force Sana. Some people don’t know what a blessing is it & power you have to be taken care of by your very own ancestors in this cruel world, Camangu✨✨

Here after Mac g cause I can't get enough of her on a personal level. She has so much to share with the world. I actually want to have e session with her dad
This was really refreshing. Eugene is right it's adult type of conversation. The sound needs a little work thought I keep pushing my volume thinking it's down❤️
Can we talk about a solid background present parents, family guys singobani ngaphandle kwabo? As for the last words from Eugene thank you Unathi ndomelele maan thru ur experiences. 🙏

It's a bit of a "around the braai" story but I LOVE it so much. I also though Gareth and Unathi were going to have an affair when I saw them on Idols. Thanks so much for the show. This was beautiful.
Uncancelled! What a fitting title for sis' Unsta, education is indeed a backfall 🤞. I love how she mentioned she is an embodiment of her greatgrandfather's and parents chain breaker, Camagu livumile lihamba nawe. What an incredible interview. Big ups Mr Cliff, still killing the industry.
Gareth is one of the most solid public figures in the SA media space. He has a way of confronting issues without being caught up in environmental or background issues. I never realized how deeply loving Gareth is until this interview
Unathi is undoubtedly one of the most brilliant media personalities. She was born for this and Idols was stupid to let her go
Gareth, Randell and Unathi that was the A team. 🇿🇲
for sure
I'm sure the numbers started dwindling after they let them go
