The NC800 is by far and away the best juicer I have ever owned, and I have owned vertical auger juicers as well.
When it comes to the biggest bang for the buck, versus how much juice you get, especially when you are juicing greens which is what you should be juicing... and take into account the ease of cleaning, the NC800 simply kicks ass!
And yes... The NC800 does look like a puppy dog.
I call my dog "Lucy".
And Lucy has been making my easily made green juices (with easy clean ups), for years!

+Ridder K I would recommend you contact your doctor or nutritionalist. I can talk for me personally, I grow high quality vegetables in my garden and juice them, and I feel nothing else is necessary.

Hello, I bought an older Omega model 8005. The drum just cracked and I wanted to get it replaced as quick as possible. Do you know of any brick and mortar stores that would sell parts for the Omega juicer? I found the part online but I wanted be able to get back to my juicing ASAP. Thanks!

So the TWN30S hasn't fared well in head to heads, despite slightly more yield here. Given that the slowstar and solostar have performed so well, and the solostar even beat out the GSE5k in at least one test, Tribest seems to be knocking it out of the park with their new generation of juicers. I feel that Omega is playing catch-up, both with the NC800 adjustment knob and the TWN30S in general. I wonder what they will have to do in the future to compete... for me Tribest is hands down the best juicing company right now. I own both Omega and Tribest products.

+rolazrei Catching up wtih TWN30, sure, they haven't had a twin gear in a while. Can't beat the NC800 for ease of cleanup and the yield is close to SoloStar4, that's why I chose the NC800, personally.

Steve Smekar I'm going to assume the cleaning issue is the screen, since the rest is nearly identical. Tribest generally favors function over cleaning efficiency... my GSE5k is a beast to clean in comparison to my Omega single auger. cutting the fibers from the inside by scraping with fingernails or a knife helps make it much easier to clean screens though. Otherwise I think the major difference is in auger design... and one will certainly be more efficient than the other. I have to assume Tribest studied the omega auger and improved on it... Omega must now change their auger optimization to compete.

I feel they should provide a tool with little needles that fit into the filter holes or something. Those green fibers are by far the worst... I switched from the 'more fiber' filter to the one with smaller holes specifically because the cleaning was far worse with larger holes.

Steve Smekar I don't do a lot of fruit with the NC800 -- but one day I did push through just a few apples (hard granny smiths) and it did fine, I chopped the slices in half and didn't rush it. Will have to try just grapes and see. The backpressure adjustment knob may make a big difference on the fruits compared to the 8006. But I got the NC800 to complement my Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer, so I'm not so worried if it is finicky with fruit. NC800 is perfect for green juices of course, and it's good with carrot apple, too.

I found fruit does fine as long as it's paired with carrots. I basically add carrots to every juice because they are so good at getting produce through the machine... makes soft fruit moot. My recipes always go: leafy greens plus a random like cucumber or celery as a base, carrots as a pusher, and 1-2 fruits.

i want to get a slowstar but its too expensive. What do you suggest that is like the slowstar but cheaper? plus does it do well when making almond milk?

+Six TheRipper You get what you pay for. There are plenty of "knock off" juicers that come out of China that simply clog, do not perform well, have a short warranty, will break and then will end up in the landfill. In the end, I would recommend saving your money for a product that will last.
