- The origin of this compilation video is simply that I wanted a mixed version of the soundtrack to listen to in the background and could only find individual tracks on TH-cam. Thanks to SquareEnix for letting people like me enjoy this classic RPG music.

I’d didn’t know a preteen girl would be involved in the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster soundtracks. What a prodigy. I heard about 10 and 11 year old singers being on America’s Got Talent before.
Wow, that's amazing! She is very talented. She has a bright future ahead of her.
Red Wings will always be the theme that defines this classic.

The PR version of the Mysidia theme slaps so hard
Agreed
Oh, man. The last time I played FF4 was back in the early 90s, and I *_still_* remember most of the soundtrack, to the point where I can actually hum or whistle along.
One of the best damned game soundtracks of all time.
Nobuo Uematsu is an unmitigated musical genius. Can you believe he's entirely self-taught? No formal musical education _at all._
Holy crap.
This is officialy the best versions of Zeromus theme, it goes HARD
I'm still going for GBA version. Its more intense
@@wert556 fair opinion but the chip sound slike shit for me
バーバリー君島 did it better 11 years ago.
This one is pretty good, but now that title of 'best' belongs the new one in FFXIV; blows this away big-time. In my opinion, of course.
@@themuse011 I love the XIV version, but Soken definitely made it quite different - which is not a bad thing! I prefer the original vision though.
Battle 2 is perhaps one of the best boss themes ever.
And yet nowadays it's more associated with a superboss in a game starring Mario.
Mysidia had NO reason to go that hard, I love it
jammin' out while visiting the victims of your latest war crime
Yeah! This arrangement REALLY does it for me... especially the bass line.
@@OmAlexander1111 It’s been enhanced, but still quite similar to the version from Celtic Moon:
th-cam.com/video/-gxz98n4Rpo/w-d-xo.html
that made me laugh
The original was so goofy sounding but the new version slaps hard
Within the Giant has always been a personal favorite, and Battle With the Four Fiends. I really appreciate what they were able to do with this OST. They really added life to these tracks
There’s something about within the giant that just really gets to me as well, I love it so much
Calcabrina is so delightfully creepy.
Final Fantasy Prologue is one of the most beautiful themes created. The emotions I feel whenever I hear it are strong; a sense of adventure, hope and foreboding with a bit of sadness.
Many great memories created from partaking in these gaming masterpieces!
I agree, I just finished 4 for the first time and it will forever have a hold on me.
All of these Pixel Remaster soundtracks do an amazing job at making the final boss battles feel absolutely epic as fuck.
People are talking about the final battle theme but oh my god the Prelude is absolutely beautiful.
Yeah but who cares? Battle themes are where it's at
@@christaylor86 I care bro -.-
Exactly@@Jehezukiel
I'm considering on buying these remasters just for the ost alone. Mysidia, Boss Battle and Zeromus sound so great.
Listen to Mysidia on the Celtic Moon album. This version is based on that.
I mean, I bought the remasters just because of the music being so good. No regrets.
Okay. After having listened to the boss and Zeromus' themes, THIS SLAPS! I need a mod to have this soundtrack for the PSP version
Had no idea the pixel remasters had new osts. Wow, they are AWESOME. Favorite on this one so far is Within the Giant. One of the most underrated tracks in the series IMO, never has made it to any orchestral or piano collections. The percussion on this one RULES. People said Mysidia was great, didn't believe it would be true since I thought this track was horribly (yet loveabely) obnoxious in the original. Spoiler alert, they were right, it actually kicks ass. Thanks for the upload!
I totally agree! Within the Giant goes hard!
holy shit within the giant IS FUCKING FIRE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Within the Giant has always been one of my all time favorite tracks since I first played it through back on the SNES.
I looked forward to hearing it the entire time I was playing through the pixel remaster and it did not disappoint!
The epicness/nostalgia of this remastered version almost had me choked up it was so awesome.
Whoah, Troia music is almost exactly like on the Celtic Moon album.
There’s nothing quite like the final boss theme when you hear it for the first time while taking down Zeromus!
I wonder... if only people can just play Final Fantasy instead of doing wars...
mysidia sounds so wicked... really awesome. a bit like an irish town song.
Cave music is so beautiful and haunting (Into the darkness).
Edward's Harp is a guitar.
The Pixel Remaster versions are generally excellent, thanks for putting these together. I do have a little gripe about the Battle 2 music in FFIV, though.. in the climax in the OG OST, the bass goes nuts in the climax, here it's not there at all. That was critical to landing the tension! :)
They FINALLY fixed the chord change to the original! 43:57
I remember playing the DS version a looong time ago after playing the GBA version. The lack of the chord change in the battle theme was driving me nuts, thought I was the only one lol.
Cannot wait for Final Fantasy 6's music
Square's just going to strike and terminate any channel that uploads the Pixel Remaster tracks. They haven't given us the option to buy the OST's either.

So many just amazing tracks that on their own would be the best songs in most video games. Just an insane score
My favorite is "Within the giant". I just listened to the original and the difference is... wow.
Really good job on these Pixel Remaster. I have played all of them up to 5 now and enjoyed all of them (2 was kinda meh, but the porting is not at fault for this).
2nd half felt really similar to this, that's why I love it so much (maybe it's based on it?)

@@SparkySup20 Yo, just found this. thank you guys! And thank you to Alessandro for showing me. Yeah there are some similarities, I wonder what the story of the soundtrack arrangements has been for those Pixel versions. Cheers!
Thank you so much for this! They are very well done arrangements of the OG SNES tracks. Wayy better than the 3DS version
Not gonna lie but the theme of King Giot 's castle in the original and DS version was always annoying for quite a time, but this version is sooo good that makes the entire soundtrack for the game the best of the best!
Thank you for not lying. I appreciate that.
13:27 The Dreadful Fight
2:05:11 The Final Fight
The video editing is a neat touch! Thanks for the upload.
The boss theme SLAPS
I just finished this SNES masterpiece. This game was phenomenal from the beginning to the middle to the end. And the S-Tier soundtrack on display here is one of the many reasons why this game is as awesome as it is. This is the best Final Fantasy game I have ever played. And this is coming out of the mouth of someone who played Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth.
I recently bought Final Fantasy 4 Remake on steam downloaded this version of the soundtrack and personally made some mods to make things look nicer. Really the best way to play this game.
I think the PSP version is better but this is a good version as well
Chills! Every track is a labor of love.
That mysidia theme slaps hard, holy fuck
omg that blass slaps so hard!!!!!!!
1:50:20
Within The Giant/Tower of Zot here.
Top tier for sure.
1:51:25 is the absolute best. nobuo uematsu has imagination and heart.
Most of the Soundtrack; "let's jazz ourselves up a bit with this live band".
Misidia; "ALRIGHT YOU MUFUGGAHS, LET'S GET ALL BITCHIN' CELTIC GROOVE UP IN HERE!!!"
I have been playing Final Fantasy since FFI and I would put “Within the Giant” against any other track in the series. It’s a masterpiece regardless of the version.
Triumph & Nemesis from FFXIV come close.
I am working on arranging a 13 track Final Fantasy piano collection, featuring songs from FF4-7. Within the Giant is the opening track. I agree it's one of my absolute favorites. It inspires courage and bravery in the face of difficult circumstances. Which is why it's the opener to my piano collection lol
*Who else is here just for **2:05:10** ?*
A few of theses (Mysidia and Troia in particular) are damn near carbon copys of Celtic Moon.

Mysidia's music has no right to go as hard as it does, what a bop
Agreed, it went from one of my least favorite to a favorite... They did good
It's interesting to hear a version of "Edward's Lute" that sounds like it could potentially be a lute.
48:59 is Battle 2
Melody of Lute sounds like it's actually played on a lute this time, bless.
I love the Mysidia remix here.
Battle 2 fucking bangs
The prologue sounds incredible.
I feel like every RPG since this game has just been trying to recreate its boss theme. Unbelievable.
FF4 really deserves a remake on the level of Stranger of Paradise treatment of FF1.
Characters are pretty epic.
Just finishing a playthrough on the PS4 release. Farming pink tails - ugh!
What did you think of the game overall?
It was easy on my first two tries (unbelievable, I know)
2:05:11 is the final boss theme
Final boss theme is my favorite ❤️
Samba de Chocobo makes me feel like I'm playing Yoshi's Island. (Or Paper Mario Chapter 5.)
I love how FFIV and FFXII use the same prologue
I still prefer the old music in all these, I just find the sounds more "punchy" in the OG's if that makes sense.
I personnally think that IV's ost is a lot more "chill" than other final fantasy games
I will be real to reply on this take: That would be just your nostalgia ears clouding your judgement.
These were literally the original vision of the tracks without the limitation of the SPC700 chip.
If a Super Nintendo can do redbook audio to begin with, these will be the OG.
I love this OST.
Mysidia slaps
Glad to be alive :)
Rule for any new FFIV release: does Ring of Bomb still slap? Yes. Yes it does.
Please put timestamps for the songs.
I know this game has been ported many times but a complete remake using assets from FF16 with a similar tone would be incredible.
Battle with the 4 fiends-hell yes.
A couple of these remixes remind me of this old remix album called _Final Fantasy IV - Celtic Moon._
The Troia one sounds almost like the one in that album. Pretty good, BTW.
best version of the theme of love
Lali-ho!
Lali-ho!
Lali-ho!
Rally-ho!
Oh, wrong version! I mean,
Lali-ho!
The ultimate version of FF4 would have THIS version's music, but the translation/3D perspective/voice-acted cutscenes of the DS - and (discontinued) Steam/mobile - version.
Mysidia!! ❤
10:32 I remember when Laurence R Harvey grew a beard he reminded me of these guys
The entire PR series' OST remake is basically a hit or miss. Like example "Damcyan Castle" no longer has the gloomy post-war vibe from synth instrument (?) that DS/3D remake amazingly did to feat the Storyline & gameply well, now it sounds like entering an ominous yet suspiciously empty evil castle. BUT "Tower Zot" PR version is definitely a top-notch upgrade. as well as "Into the Darkness" but missing the iconic bass guitar, which i think would fit well with other orchestra instruments, i can't help but notice the Cello / bass string is trying to replace it but not proportionally loud enough
There are some interesting choices here and some tracks sound lovely but none of them compare with the original OST which was not only of much higher sound quality but was more emotional and especially carried better accompaniment and instrument choice
Clad in Darkness - most iconic Boss entrance, ever. Pitty, Golbez was cheated on by some outer space shenigans, he should have been the main antagonist. Pretty unusual for a SNES FF, too. Every dude with the main villian theme was the endboss, but then again, thats the only issue i had with FFIV.
This version of Troian Beaty sounds irish... dangerously irish!
1:27:10 for mysidia
Is that a slap-bass in Ring of Bomb????
Mysidia is amazing, but goddamn Calcobrena is unnerving as all feck.
2:37:20 Red Wings
Edward's Harp sounds more like a lute than a lyre.
What happened to Samba De Chocobo? I could've sworn it was in this video
There could be a brand new arrangement of the soundtracks of Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and IX as well, released as a patch to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC ports.
God please
Curious, intro of 4 I'm pretty sure should be from 1, no?
be careful volume is very loud
Where’s ff5 and 2
So, where are the other three pixel remaster soundtracks?
00:00 starts video
Thx
Thank you 🙏
When it comes to IV's soundtrack, I think they were too concerned with faithfulness to the original SNES tracks. Some of them, like Rydia's Theme and Theme of Love start abruptly, and I think the intros added by the DS soundtrack improved the listening experience.
I'm very thankful for the faithfulness. The audio fidelity is the greatest thing about the pixel remasters. The music is perfect.
Why is Ring of Bomb so good though
I hope you saved your wedding videos to another channel or kept them unlisted
Does the game offer options to use original 16 bit music?
The switch and PlayStation versions allow the option to switch between the original and remastered ost anytime
@@SkyrushFanboy Thanks! Now I'm buying it 😄

I like this version, still having my original FFII SNES cart, but the emphasis on high, piercing pitches (lots of bright trumpet, clarinet, and piccolo) tire out my old ears pretty quickly. The Underworld theme isn't really amenable to a screechy clarinet and trumpet blasts...it's a track that is really understated and mellow in contrast to the more heroic overworld theme. The high-pitched trumpet blasting for an entire OST is why I don't like the FF5 OST as much as 4 and 6.
Still, I do like what they did with what was, essentially, just some bloops and bleeps. I like listening to individual songs from this OST and going back to the original for extended listening.
35:50 Im getting Fairy Tail vibes here
I like FF XIV version of IV music more.
