Gotta love Horockizon, it screams edgy dusk vibes just by looking at it! Base stat total-wise, I'd say give Pterodapple a 540 along with the Appletun evo to match up with Hydrapple since the previous forms have a total of 485 each. Shedonin could have a total of 326, and Horockizon's could be 500-535. All of these are just ideas since I never made stats for any of my own pokemon before; but I am willing to do it sometime next year.

you might know an fan-made "live pupa" ver of Shedinja, that turn into "hollowed chrysalid" shedinja we all know after Ninjask hatch? like an actual cicada cycle - they hatch, underground for 17 years (nincada) grow into a pupa and claim to a tree (pupa-nincada) and then hatch as ninjask, when the shell became shedinja.
Alternate Idea for Shedonin: Lean fully into the Glass Canon Playstyle. Don't give it any New Stats, just reallocate its currently useless defense stats into Attack and Speed. It has a total 75 Base points split between the 2 defenses, and there's the 30 from the special attack stat that it frankly isn't using. So we have 102 extra Base Stat Points to work with (not 105 because no stat can equal 0, so the other three stats are left at 1). First we give 80 points to Speed bringing it to 120, and 4 to Attack bringing it to 130. Wonder Guard makes it so that most moves won't hit it, and if it's in a Generation where Tera is a thing... Tera Electric with an Air Balloon makes Shedinja (and Shedonin) completely invincible to direct damage. The only thing that would be able to hurt it is a Sandstorm.
@@welavolcanowarrior9410 Had to go and check that one, indeed Statuses can do damage through wonder guard, I just assumed moves that cause them (Will-o-Wisp, Toxic, etc) wouldn't actually hit Shedinja. Entry Hazards would also still hit it.
I would suggest Shedonin to still have one hp. This avoids any chance for the pokemon to be broken, since you would otherwise be able to put some ev's into it (which if it's hp is a base stat of even just 2 would give it an hp stat of 109 at lvl 50 and an hp stat of 208 at lvl 100), but I think making miracle guard a version of wonder guard that makes the bearer immune to the effects of weather would be a nice upgrade that isn't to op seeing as all the ability would do is nake it less manditory to give it the safety goggles and can allow it to use a focus sash instead to give it an extra turn on the field.
Or you could just actually give it a base stat total higher than 120 or whatever it is (90 attack 30 speed IIRC). Since it's HP, Def, Spec Attack, and Spec Def stats are all completely worthless. A more meaningful damage value and speed stat would make it much more useful, while still keeping it's same weaknesses and counters intact in weather and traps.
An idea for the Shedinja evolution could be that its new ability additionally makes it immune to non direct damage (poison, burn, leech seed, etc.) so it can ONLY be taken down by a super effective attack, like what I can only presume was the original idea when designing Shedinja 🤔
Amazing ideas dude. Also here's an idea, how about an evolution for a male Snorunt? It already got both Glalie and Frosslass except the latter can only evolve from it if it's a female, maybe you should go with something like this.
Horockizon could probably be rendered more effectively as Rockrizon. Same base of "rock" and "horizon", but now with the implied affiliation with dawn you wanted, on account of how dawn is when the Sun's "rizon". Maybe to match that, its colour scheme could shift somewhat to match an early-morning colour scheme, and even make an association with Venus as the morning star. As for Shedonin, I'll admit, I thought it was based on ronin at first, but jonin's a good reference word. I like the idea from another commenter that it pretends to be a regular Shedinja initially, then after tanking a supereffective hit enters its "Real Forme" to reveal its enhanced statline, and perhaps an immunity to status conditions alongside Wonder Guard's typical benefits or a variation thereof.
With Shedonin I quite like the idea of reversing the wonder guard ability to making it only take damage from moves its resisted against rather than moves it is weak against
I really love the Dusk Lycanroc evolution and it should really receive one in the next generation if it's possible. It'll probably be tricky to obtain because of the evolution method, but it's worth it to use it in battle as a reward for all your hard work.
I imagine it would be something like level up during dawn hours (5am-6am or 6am-7am) while holding a new item (twilight rock) or using a "twilight stone" on it.
Pterodapple is cool, but its weird having the apple segements get bigger and even regrowing them around its tail. It kind of throws off the scale. Let me propose instead; Treeadapple. Seeds from the apple this pokemon grew in have taken root along its arms, blooming into large bushy wings that can sprout new fruits for the next generation. Treeadapple have been known to sleep standing upright on their long, tree-trunk like tails, which they also use as clubs if unwittingly disturbed. This makes them into a potential sudowodo like fake-out pokemon, and also references the Lambton Worm which was said to pull up trees to use as clubs. With that said, the similar-but-distinct Limton Worm could be a great inspiration for a different Appleton evolution, using its links to gluttony and eating.
Shedinja has always been one of my favourite pokemon ever, it was introduced in the first generation I played and owned as a child. And the evolution you shown in this video made me fall in love with it (and it pre evolution Shedinja) once again! Thanks!
The Shedonin ability discussion, coupled with its design, gave me a neat idea -- keep the Wonder Guard as it is, maybe even leave it at 1 HP, but with a form change to shake things up. Instead of fainting the first time it's hit, its exoskeleton shatters, leaving the ghost inside fully exposed and stripping it of its Bug type. In this form, it retains its 1 HP and Wonder Guard, but with less weaknesses and perhaps a little speed boost and physical attack nerf now that it isn't covered in physical objects.
in case of Shedonin, I'd probably make it so it can only take damage from attacks that are not very effective, since bug and ghost has 5 weaknesses and only 4 resistences.
What if Miracle Guard is a hidden abillity that reduce all damage and healingit recives to 1 instead. A Shedonin with maxed out HP would then have 5 HP on Lv 50, making it still possible to oneshot it with a multi-hit attack. Additional the opponent would need to figure out if it has Miracle or Wonder Guard. Leftover combined with Miracle or Fokusstash with Wonder Guard and Disable could be broken.
I always thought that if shedinja evolved, it would gain a sort of "hero's hp" system (locked 3 hp, but damage towards it is capped at 1 and multi-hit moves are ineffective so at best you can take it down in 1 turn if you set sand, status, AND hit it, but otherwise it could take up to 3 turns). On that note: false death/false defeat (any attack is reduced to 1 damage, and sheds a shell that blocks all further damage from the attack). The trade-off for taking further hits is that it is affected by all types, so shedinja retains its own gimmick without being completely overshadowed.
Hey Hoops, I'm playing Pokemon violet and I know it's old but Arven dad's research room is the new director's office. He kept it like that because he respected the parents research. And he won a few trophies that the director wanted to tell Arven but he ran out of the room. Just something I wanted to share because I'm not sure if anyone ever talked about it.
7:50 You could have it prevent it from indirect damage (i.e. poison/burn damage, entry hazards, rough skin, etc.) in addition to normal wonder guard. Now it can have an actual held item and won't have a chance of dying as soon as it's sent out.
Cool designs. I've been trying to think of names for Applin branch evos and IDK why I didn't think of Pteradapple for Flapple, its actually a great name for it. I also agree a move based Evo for all the Applin branches seems appropriate given the precedent set by Dipplin and Hydrapple. As far as the Lycanroc evolution name, while I think Horockizon sounds cool (not just for a Pokemon, but like a DnD character and such as well) I would like a name that sticks with the families naming scheme a bit more, that being not only having the word rock in there somewhere, but also a word relating to them being dogs or wolves (Ruff for Rockruff as one of the sounds dogs make and Lycan for lycanroc as another name for a Werewolf), so maybe something like Rocanthrope or Rockwolf or something like that to play off Lycanthrope (the full version of the word Lycan) or Werewolf. Shedonin is an interesting idea. I'll be honest I thought the -onin part of the name was going to be Ronin (a masterless Samurai) but Jonin works as well. I do think it makes sense for it to be an upgraded Shedinja in terms of stats and ability and such, so the Ability could still operate like Wonder Guard, but maybe anything that isn't Super Effective on Shedonin that gets used on it is redirected back at the attacker but as typeless damage (so the same type of damage done when a confused Pokemon attacks itself or the same type of damage done during Struggle) or does like 1/8 or 1/16 max HP every time it activates or something like that in addition to the standard Wonder Guard effect, like a Ninja stealthfully counterattacking. I'm sure it would probably make it too OP but maybe it could be one of the few effects that aren't effected by things like Mold Breaker and Ability changing effects and whatever. Maybe to balance it out or whatever Shedonin can't be given things like the Focus Sash to hold (if you go with the 1 HP build of it).
I like your Pterodapple design. I saw another branched evolution for Flapple and Appletun, though the Flapple evo wasn't that well designed in my opinion (the Appletun evo was perfect though). I came up with a signature ability for the Appletun that helped to offset its x4 Ice Weakness (it was basically a merger of Thick Fat and Flame Body).
I have an idea for an ability for Shedonin. Call it Shadow Guard, since it is a ninja, and have it be an upgraded version of wonder guard much like you said. With playing into the ninja-like style you could have it have a heightened evasion stat, or even, give it an evasion boost when hit by a super effective move. So you'd still have to use something like a focus sash, but then you'd get the boost afterwards.
my take on shedonin which was also inspired by other commentors here pure glass cannon: -can only have 10 hp -lowest possible stats for defense -all stat points relocated to both attack and speed still has an upgraded version of wonder guard that negates all non-attack damage (i.e statuses and weather) has a new hidden ability that locks it's max hp to 10 and causes all changes to hp to be reduced to 1 this does affect revives
I love the concept of the evelution but I think that the dusk lycanrock is too based off of the midday lycanrock so I would appreciate it if you could do a evelution for the midnight lycanrock so it would also have a "twin"
For Appletun’s evo (I didn’t watch the video, so pls correct me if it doesn’t make sense) I would call the move that it evolves with, dragon gorge, which increases the defense (different, I know) of all allies while also, if there are enough berries in your inventory, each party member will get a random berry to hold for the duration of the battle, after which it will be sent back to the inventory, if there are not enough berries, then the first members in the party get the berries
A different shedonin ability could still have the same effects as wonder guard but now it will ALWAYS hit super effective moves, it may be a bit powerful but either way it does fit the vibe of shedonin a bit. Maybe it could be called miracle magic or something.
I think an upgraded Wonder Guard that also prevents passive damage ie weather/status/entry hazards would be an interesting buff. Word it like "Can only lose HP from super effective attacks" or have Shedonin keep Wonder Guard as is but give it a signature move that makes it immune to passive damage.
For shedonin, another way you could look at Miracle guard, if you don't want to pivot out of the gimmick, is that it protects it from passive damage now. While we have the meme of tera elec air balloon shedinja, sand'll just wreck it anyway.
@@crazychristopher1989 The entire line is a different form. Mime Jr is the same across both lines for the Kantonian Form of Mr Mime and the Galarian Form of Mr Mime.
These were cool, and if we're talking extending branches evolutions I would like to throw Politoed into the ring as well as Huntail and Gorebyss. I feel like Politoed didn't really compare well with Poliwrath as an Alternative, perhaps give it another typing and call it Polilord since the original needed a King's Rock to evolve. And as for the twin fish, Perhaps give Humtain the dark typing and call it Huntrench(the trench as in a dark deep sea trench) and Gorebyss given the fairy typingand name it Gorphon(the phon coming from Siphon since one of it entries was draining it prey or Siphoning)
After Hydrapplin I'm more than onboard for more Apple dragons. Shedonin and Horockizon are incredibly badass with Horockizon giving the Lycanrock line the majestic flare it deserves.
To this day I continues to thing about the shared Gigantamax os Appletun and Flapple, this form is very similar to Hydrapple but with just one head and apple juice/honey
I always thought that the Starter Pokémon should each have a branched evolution and those evolutions should have their own branches. Granted this comes at the cost of using as much as 7 slots minimum in the Pokédex for one evolutionary family but it seems like a cool concept.
8:23 Spectral Guard: Basically just Wonder Guard & Magic Guard (so Spectral Guard means you can only be damaged by super-effective hits)(& technically Stealth Rock)
I would go with something maybe called, "Decooyguard" and have it be something you choose before battle, and it overrides Shedonin's typing and lets you choose any type, or maybe two types?, you want.
I really like the "Doom Guard" @mingro7182 talked about giving Shedonin, but I would have given Shedonin a upgraded version of Wonder Guard that made it immune to physical moves since its more spirit like now.
I really hope we see a night lycanroc evolution in the future. Dusk lycanroc kinda feels like it could be a mega for day lycanroc. But night form doesnt have an equivalent.
for miracle guard, maybe give it a one time immunity per type, making it reliant on torment or disable to shutdown his opponents but weak to multi hit moves
Shedonin should get an ability called Wonder Turn-around, Shedonin gets a real HP stat, maybe a fairly high hp stat, can take damage by Non-Super Effective moves, but can't get killed by them, leaving it at 1 hp. And the Lower HP stat its at the stronger it is, but to balance this, Super Effective moves have a 1.5x multiplier to damage than they would normally get, effectively being 3x as effective. So to clarify, "Super Effective moves deal 3x the damage, rather than 2x. Only oncoming Super effective moves can faint the Pokemon, otherwise it damages the pokemon until it reaches 1hp. The lower the HP it's at, the stronger it becomes." This is so that the Shedonin still has the unique play style of, "I should only use super effective moves" but with the added nuance that other moves can hit it until it reaches a lower percent so the Super Effective move ensures to KO, with the added risk of making the Shedonin a lot stonger as a result.
Shedonin could have a buffed variant of Wonder guard with magic guard that can be “Miracle Guard” or a variation of magic guard that would make it effected by passive damage that is “super effective against it” For example (assuming Shedonin is Bug/Ghost type): Burning or Stealth rock kills Shedonin upon entry, however leech seeding/spikes/hail/confusion/toxic shouldn’t kill.
I think it would be interning if flapple and appletun evolved into a wyvern and drake respectively so that all the final evolutions are deferent types of dragons with hydrapple being a hydra.
Slowcone: Water/Ice And Galarian Slowcone: Poison/Ice When a curious Slowpoke tries to eat ice cream, sometimes they get bit by a Vanillite, evolving into Slowcone. This happens to Galarian Slowpoke as well.
I think you should make Shedoinin a parasite Pokémon. Have it evolve from Shadinja after leveling up after participating in a double battle.... and give it an ability called parasite pact, which is basically making it unable to be fainted unless it's partner Pokémon is fainted in a double battle outside of that it still works just like Wonder Gaurd
I have a Gothorita male branch evolution idea, it would look like a butler, it has the psychic/dark type with the ability magic guard, magician, or shadow tag, it'll evolve with a dusk stone, and it's name would be Gothemo. The combine names of goth and emo
Shedonin nicknames: Dead Husk, Broken Free, Miracle Buster, Broken Soul, Dark Form, Dorja, Darkner, Free Shell, Busted Free, Ronja, Shed Free, Darkinja, UNKILL, ANTIKILL, -1 HP, BOSS MODE, Unkillable Dex Entry: "Shedonin, the Broken Shell Pokémon. It is the result of Shedinja slowly absorbing energy through its back opening, forming it into a body that breaks the shell upon evolving." "Its new formed body is composed of dark energies that give off a sense of dread, and being able to extract souls by using its rear end as a limb to choke them out of a creature."
Pasting this from your other branched evo vid. I’ve always thought the gender only evo like vespiquen/salazzle should have a male equivalent. Even if it’s a soldier-esque bee instead of a king bee or something. I would totally be down with charcadet being a new eevee with different variations and am kinda surprised it didn’t get indigo and teal ones for dlc. Another one I think would be great is Heliolisk. It’s under 500 bst, (could jump to 530-550 is) It has a variety of abilities with the weather and I would love to see it branch into dragon/electric, dragon/ground with sand veil, dragon/fire and grass with solar power and dragon/water with dry skin. Evo method could be like annihlape, using moves in weather or something but I think it would be a great choice
With Shedonin i think you should do both of these options just because it would be insanely broken. Also I saw a comment by @mingro7182 where they suggested a ability called "Doom Guard" with the effect of negating any damage that is not resisted.
I just had a random idea: what if shedinja didn't just appear in your party? Instead, any time you evolve nincada, you get ninjask, then it triggers a wild encounter with shedinja

I too was hopeing for Dawn form Lycanroc but it was disappointed that never happen😢.So thank you for making me dream come true with Horockizon.
My man, Wurmple is out back crying right now.
THAT WHAT I HAVE BEENN SAYINGGG
An idea for the Shedinja evolution could be that its new ability additionally makes it immune to non direct damage (poison, burn, leech seed, etc.) so it can ONLY be taken down by a super effective attack, like what I can only presume was the original idea when designing Shedinja 🤔
Amazing ideas dude. Also here's an idea, how about an evolution for a male Snorunt? It already got both Glalie and Frosslass except the latter can only evolve from it if it's a female, maybe you should go with something like this.
As a lover of Grass and Rock types, THANK YOU for Pteradapple and Horockizon!
Thank god you're giving an extra evo to the other applin evos.
I could also suggest Ninjask, whose evolution is Bug & a secondary type of choice & has Max Base Speed stat of 255, like Blissey's 255 HP
Give Shedonin's new ability immunity to weather, poison, and burn-
With Shedonin I quite like the idea of reversing the wonder guard ability to making it only take damage from moves its resisted against rather than moves it is weak against
I really love the Dusk Lycanroc evolution and it should really receive one in the next generation if it's possible.
@@supersaiyaneevee1573 Not bad ideas. Either one can work depending on the game the evolution debuts in.
at this point it is just a digimon evolution tree
Pterodapple is cool, but its weird having the apple segements get bigger and even regrowing them around its tail. It kind of throws off the scale.
Let me propose instead;
Treeadapple.
Shedonin is a great design but Pterodapple is my favorite from this video
Miracle Guard Shedonin holding a Focus Sash would be on every one of my teams, Jesus
I think a cool alternative for how you designed Miracle guard would be that all attacks do damage but only 1 and the Pokémon has like 7 health
Bro, Shedonin has 2 hp!!!
So you'd still have to use something like a focus sash, but then you'd get the boost afterwards.
my take on shedonin which was also inspired by other commentors here
pure glass cannon:
-can only have 10 hp
-lowest possible stats for defense
-all stat points relocated to both attack and speed
still has an upgraded version of wonder guard that negates all non-attack damage (i.e statuses and weather)
has a new hidden ability that locks it's max hp to 10 and causes all changes to hp to be reduced to 1 this does affect revives
I think an upgraded version of wonder guard for Shedonin could just add an immunity to burn, poison, hail, and sandstorm. Call it Extraordinary Guard.
dragon gaze:
dragon rush: allow me to (re)introduce myself
Shedonins ability could have the wonder guard effect but also make it immune to all entry hazards
A different shedonin ability could still have the same effects as wonder guard but now it will ALWAYS hit super effective moves, it may be a bit powerful but either way it does fit the vibe of shedonin a bit. Maybe it could be called miracle magic or something.
I think the coolest looking one here is Horockizon, but I think it looks more like a Lycanroc Mega Evolution than just a normal evolution.
The other Applin evos definitely need a branched evo, they just seem so overshadowed by Hydrapple and all
For shedonin, another way you could look at Miracle guard, if you don't want to pivot out of the gimmick, is that it protects it from passive damage now. While we have the meme of tera elec air balloon shedinja, sand'll just wreck it anyway.
If formes count, Mime Jr has a branched evolution with an additional evo on one.
So does Zigzagoon
@@crazychristopher1989 The entire line is a different form. Mime Jr is the same across both lines for the Kantonian Form of Mr Mime and the Galarian Form of Mr Mime.
BRO!!! PTERODAPPLE??!!! That is so cool!! my jaw literally dropped!!! XD
"We've never had a branched evolution that could evolve again"
Silcoon and Cascoon: 🫥
Shedinja's evolved form was cool, but i would like to see one for Ninjask as well!
For more branch evolutions, i was thinking Wrumple having final evolutions with different secondary types besides Flying or Poison.
I always thought that the Starter Pokémon should each have a branched evolution and those evolutions should have their own branches. Granted this comes at the cost of using as much as 7 slots minimum in the Pokédex for one evolutionary family but it seems like a cool concept.
I absolutely adore Pterodapple's design! 😍👍
8:23 Spectral Guard: Basically just Wonder Guard & Magic Guard (so Spectral Guard means you can only be damaged by super-effective hits)(& technically Stealth Rock)
Finally my favorite line is getting some love. Nincadas line is too ignored!
Shedonin looks amazing, also I can't wait to see what you have in store for us in 2024 🎊🎉🖤
These are really good branch evolution, I'm liking the new form of rocruff
Shedinja is one of my favorite bug types and Shedonin is also very cool
for miracle guard, maybe give it a one time immunity per type, making it reliant on torment or disable to shutdown his opponents but weak to multi hit moves
Wonderguard is already broken enough, you want to guarantee that it survives one hit too? Too OP.
I can imagine a pokemon that evolves into its split evo and the split evo evolves into two different pokemon
The lower the HP it's at, the stronger it becomes."
This is so that the Shedonin still has the unique play style of, "I should only use super effective moves" but with the added nuance that other moves can hit it until it reaches a lower percent so the Super Effective move ensures to KO, with the added risk of making the Shedonin a lot stonger as a result.
bro has forgot the fact that dragon gaze + axe pokemon (forgot the name)'s execution = insta kill that always hits
Shedonin could have a buffed variant of Wonder guard with magic guard that can be “Miracle Guard”
or a variation of magic guard that would make it effected by passive damage that is “super effective against it”
For example (assuming Shedonin is Bug/Ghost type): Burning or Stealth rock kills Shedonin upon entry, however leech seeding/spikes/hail/confusion/toxic shouldn’t kill.
I'd love to see more videos on evolutions of branched evolution 'mon.
Here's idea. What if Eevee had clones like Pikachu? Like Kirlia and Charcedet can become clones of eevee
I think it would be interning if flapple and appletun evolved into a wyvern and drake respectively so that all the final evolutions are deferent types of dragons with hydrapple being a hydra.
Slowcone: Water/Ice
And
Galarian Slowcone: Poison/Ice
When a curious Slowpoke tries to eat ice cream, sometimes they get bit by a Vanillite, evolving into Slowcone.

I’d make my friend mad in Hoenn games using Shedninja against him
shedonin should keep 1hp and get sturdy as its ability
What if Shedonin has 2 HP but only ever takes 1HP of damage from any damaging attack?
for shedonin, give it wonder guard that blocks hazards
Shedonin nicknames: Dead Husk, Broken Free, Miracle Buster, Broken Soul, Dark Form, Dorja, Darkner, Free Shell, Busted Free, Ronja, Shed Free, Darkinja, UNKILL, ANTIKILL, -1 HP, BOSS MODE, Unkillable
Dex Entry:
"Shedonin, the Broken Shell Pokémon. It is the result of Shedinja slowly absorbing energy through its back opening, forming it into a body that breaks the shell upon evolving."
"Its new formed body is composed of dark energies that give off a sense of dread, and being able to extract souls by using its rear end as a limb to choke them out of a creature."
I would say for 'Miracle Guard' instead of getting second hit, make it immune to either weather or status, I'm leaning towards weather personally.
Thinking keep wonder guard but change type to dark ghost so only weakness fairy
With Shedonin i think you should do both of these options just because it would be insanely broken. Also I saw a comment by @mingro7182 where they suggested a ability called "Doom Guard" with the effect of negating any damage that is not resisted.
Pterodapples move is op
Imagine a team based on dragon types with 1 shot moves like fissure and guillotine
I just had a random idea: what if shedinja didn't just appear in your party?
Instead, any time you evolve nincada, you get ninjask, then it triggers a wild encounter with shedinja
