As much as I like the concept behind Grievish, the other 3 feel like they focus too much on the names of the Pokemon they're trying to evolve. Case in point: Torkoal isn't just a coal-tortoise, it burns that coal to create its signature smoke, thus its ability White Smoke, and itself resembles a volcano or a coal-powered oven. To turn it into a diamond because "oh, coal becomes diamond", basically means you'd have to get rid of its fire-type, and it also doesn't mash well with its volcano-aesthetic. In other words, this would fit better as an evolution to a regional Torkoal. It's even more appearent with Plusle and Minun because their inspiration isn't the mathematical concepts of addition and subtraction, but the electrical positive and negative charge, which in no way relate to multiplication and division. So while the evolutions look neat, all the multiplication and division symbolism just plain doesn't fit with their original concept.
It's kinda sad now that I think about it, like sure if it did get this evolution it will never fully love or trust anyone ever again. It's like that old saying from someone I remember "If you can't love me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best". Which in this case in order to evolve this Pokemon will be at it's highest level of 80/90.
Another idea for Luvdisc to evolve into Grievish could simply be leveling it up while its friendship value is low or even 0, so that you would have to actively treat it negatively, such as letting it faint in battle, or using the bitter energy and root medicines on it, though this could be difficult or annoying to do.
I think there's only one problem with the plusle and minun evos. Plusle and minun are not really based off maths, but instead positive and negative electrical signals so the evos shouldn't really be based of maths
maybe you would have to change the designs a bit but maybe for minun atonum (atom+minun) and for plusle prosle (proton+plusle) and a conjoined evo aka two different Pokémon coming together for the final 3rd evo nucleon (nucleus+eon because it has taken eons for this evo to happen) my auto correct hates me right now
I was gonna comment the same thing these are cool concepts but plus le and minun are more so based on negative and positive charge so their evolutions should continue with that. I think what could be really interesting is to have the two of them evolve into one Pokémon and they would be permanently together and share a poke ball like tandemaus. Maybe when they evolve thier charges become so powerful they are inseparable and will die if they are separated. (a little extreme but we have spoink)
Yeah. And i think you could take their evolution to a meta physical sense. Since they are based off positive and negative charges and send then into matter/antimatter.
As much as I like your plusle and minin evolutions. They aren’t math based, they’re based on positive and negative electrical charges, and I think evolutions that explored that concept would be very interesting. For example they could combine canceling out their negitive and positive charges respectively making them an electric/ground type, which would not only reference the now neutral charge but also the concept of grounding an electrical charge, they could have a special ability as well that not only makes them immune to electric type moves (assuming they are not already) but also boosts their stats when they are hit by one.
You're absolutely right. I doubt they'd ever do it, but an evolution that fuses both of them, say if they level up in a battle together, would be very cool and more along the lines of this theme
Finally, somebody who has a brain! They are electric type! In what world is math an electric type? It's normal or psychic at best. Positive and negative charges are clearly what they are based on! People learn about these in primary school! Why won't people stop confusing it with math?!
Grievish looks more like a Dark-type since broken hearts can turn people vengeful. I guess it can be a Ghost-type by associating it with people dying from a broken heart. As for Diator, it reminds me of Steelix. If the Pressure ability method of evolution is too annoying, giving Torkoal a Metal Coat item could work as an alternative.
Personally, I would have called the Plusle and Minun evolutions Protompom and Electrompom They're based on charge types, not math. Plus, it's to keep the cheerleader theme.
The Diator evolution method would be better if the requirement was having a Pokemon with Pressure in your party. Then, meet a threshold for levels gained or steps walked.
(Love the idea. I’m just nerding out with you) Since basically all the gen 3 Ubers have pressure, surely some trainer would have discovered that evo mechanic before now, right? Keeping with the pressure concept, what else could make it possible we “only found out recently?” Noting that volcanic areas were already present in ruby/sapphire.
@@bobjob2514 If the idea of the lore is that it can prevent itself from evolving, the fact that it hasn't been discovered isn't that surprising, BUT, I came up with an alternative all the same. What if it had to level up, while having the ability Pressure? This is something that could have technically happened in the past (Dusknoir both has Pressure and can learn Skill Swap), but the odds of it doing so would be stupidly low; low enough that it's lore about being able to prevent itself from evolving has a lot fewer instances to cover. And, just to make it easier, at a certain higher level, Torkoal could learn the new move Pressureize: a move that raises your defense(s?), but changes your ability to Pressure. Considering Torkoal is predominantly used for his Drought ability, you could also make it a really interesting trade off for combat.
@@spectilia Ooh! What if a Legends style game did some regional variant of Kecleon that has different type forms - of which the (fire/rock/whatever seems appropriate) lizard gets pressure. Skill swap has been a staple on that mon forever. Just do some level tweaking so it has the move in the wild, and double battles or undue amounts of planning aren’t required.
Great ideas and designs! I just thought of three things while watching this: 1. Luvdisc should have another split evolution, like a version that evolved from receiving enough affection. 2. I think it's better if Grievish's typing is water/dark. 3. Diator's typing should be fire/rock because diamond is a kind of rock. Either way, great vid! 🤍
Those Plusle and Minun ideas are similar to something I came up with when Gen 3 came out. XD Though you made the same mistake I did. They aren't based on math concepts, they were based on idea of positive and negative electricity, hence their abilities Plus and Minus boosting eachother. The idea that the two attract each other.
Exactly was I thinking, they just named it because of the signs but it actually came from proton and electron and theres no division or multiplication charges in electricity. Lol
I like Dejectish more because it is more to-the-point that it feels dejected. Grievish is also fine. It also looks more hydrodynamic for swimming backwards for speed but can flip around easily to use its mouth, and has access to attacks involving water acrobatics. As for that big mouth. Fishious Rend would justify it. Otherwise it would probably just be a cannon for shooting out Shadow Balls if it is a ghost type.
These are some cool ideas. For Diator's evolution method, maybe it can evolve when a Pokémon with Pressure is in your party rather than having it fight against a Pokémon with that ability to help allow trainers to have more control over the situation.
For Plusle and Minun's names, I think working backwards from Japanese might help プラスル Purasuru (4 syllables/characters) マイナン (4 characters) Multiply = マルチプライ Maruchipurai Divide = ディバイド Dibaido (Both 5-6 characters) I think you can combine them with their pre-evos like this: マルチプラス Multiplus ディバイナス Divinus
Well for plusle and minun, they should have a karrablast and shelmet type of evolution and make it somehow to theme into the concept of alternating currents (or AC). Their plus and minus them is change into a sinusoidal wave. Sinus and Soidal😅😅😅
Grievish was really interesting! The method of evolution was different than what I thought, too: Luvdisc using Attract, but is still attacked X-number of times.
I think Grievish is a really cool concept, and I like the name, but personally, I think it should evolve at a certain level only if it has 0 friendship
Since Diator has a distant relation to Terapagos, maybe it could evolve from Torkoal by Terastallizing a certain amount of times, making this dormant "gene" awaken and triggering its evo
Grievish is such a wonderful concept. Also, can we maybe start getting Shiny Concepts for these fakemons? I'd just love to see the creativity flow even more than it already does, and I think shiny concepts are just what could add to these videos
Some evolution methods for Diator could be it evolves when leveled up underground or underwater (like in Area Zero) cause Air Pressure increases the further underground you go, and another one could be after using Dig a certain amount of times then leveling up (Torkoal can't learn Dig for whatever reason but if he could this would be cool)
what about something like "generustle" for the multiplication version, rustle because he looks like he would bounce through the leaves during fall and it just seems playful and energetic, and generous because it helps others.
I think Torkoal should get an evolution that is part volcano part smelting furnace, with the Steel type added to reference the heavier metals that are found in the mantle and the metalsmithing that steelworks perform.
This was a great video! Awesome way to give some forgotten Pokémon some love! Not sure if you've done something like this already, but would love to see you regional variant some more early route Pokémon, like Alolan Ratatta and Galarian Zigzagoon! So like Sentret, Poochyena, Bidoof, Patrat, Bunnelby, Yungoos, and Skwovet.
I do like that you used mathimatical operations of the plusle and minun evolutions, but the operations themselves aren’t their main focus. Their primary inspiration is positive and negative charge for plusle and minun, respectively, hence their electric type. If game freak ever does make evolutions for them, I think they would keep that design focus. I do still love the designs you came up with, though!
what if at level 30, if luvdisc has high friendship it evolves into alomamola (maybe buffing alomamola's stats) and if it has low friendship it evolves into grievish.
Can you make a part 2 of this video please? This video was amazing. Can you possibly give Barraskewda and/or Cramorant a evolution. Barraskewda just looks like it needs to evolve, as for Cramorant, I think it would be funny and cool if Cramorant got and evolution. They could even tie into eachother with pokedex entries (if you give them pokedex entries).
Would love to see evos for Torcoal and Plusel and Minum, love all those designs. For Torcoal maybe he could evolve by having a pokemon with pressure in the party when you level up rather than beating one.
What if “normal” Pokemon were able to evolve into Legendary Pokemon? I had a very weird dream about Hawlucha evolving into a Psychic/Fighting type Legendary Pokemon like a week ago
Posiplus? In some gen, eventually, surely, we're going to get fusions as a game mechanic, and I just hope that plusle and minun can make the use of it they deserve...
For Grievish; how about after catching Luvdisc, it would only evolve after lvl 35 and being left in the PC for 35hours game hours (you can pick the amount of time as the creator) once you go back to your PC you'd find an evolved Grievish
10:35 minor critiques on Multiplusle & Dividun: You could add dark yellow to Plusle & Minun's normal colorations; Making Multiplusle orange like you already did & Dividun green. Their shinies would be the previous evolutions' normal colours!
I thought grevish represented love bites. How ever the back story you made for grevish about it not being loved by fans so much and hated so much that it changed it body shape. Great job!
Lovedisc's evo is just so sad, but the others are so perfect, unexpected directions in the design's evolution. I think Multiplusle and Devidun are great as they keep the original's concept in them, implying the connection of why they evolve from each respectively. They keep their positive and negative concepts with the multiplication and division simply continuing the two notions, instead of replacing them.
About 7 years ago i made "permanent mega evolutions" (i was new to pokemon lol) for Plusle and Minun called Multipsle and Divisun, whose colors were based on Plusle and Minun's shinies. They had this gimmick where if they were both used in a Tag Team/doubles battle, they could use any "energy" based move together at the cost of both of their turns. Game balance was an alien term when i was 13, lol
I think the pressure idea for Diator is really cool, but instead of leveling from battling a pokemon with pressure I think leveling up with a pokemon that has pressure as it's ability in your party that way its a bit easier but keeps the theme
I like the concept of the plusle and minun evolutions I just always thought they were based on positively/negatively charged ions since they're electric types
Alternate evolution method for grievish: Lower friendship to less than 20. There have been a few friendship evolutions and it could give frustration a use in a casual setting.
I love all the concepts, just some types I don't understand the choices. I know diamonds are super hard to break and stuff, but they are a Gem and Gems are Rocks, and about the Dividun, I think Ghost is a better type for him, cuz when we think about a misschiveous pokemon, at least I think of Gengar almost all the time, even tho Prankster is a DARK type ability, another thing about "duos" is that I dont like when one evolution have advantage against the other (Dark vs Fairy for exemple). I rly rly like your vids, keep on your great work!
I think for luvdisc; I can see it have a split evolution where it can either evolve to grievish like you’ve shown; or given a specific type of ex gaining pokefood til it reaches 25 can level it up to what I’d call Blissifish being from the words bliss and fish as that’s what most people would feel eating chocolate on Valentine’s Day with its body color being a seafoam green of sorts with its fins having a tinge of that original pink color. That color change could then lead to a new evolution that I thought of where it’d evolve into Valentinish after Valentine and Fish; with the fins on its backside appearing as a blooming rose while its side fins and body look like the stem and leaves of the rose. Its method of evolution would be difficult tho as you’d need to swap a Pokemon out for Blissifish and then during their time on the battlefield get hit with solar beam to evolve into Valentineish as roses need full sun to bloom.
Yoooo I remember talking about a broken heart Luvdisc with a friend years ago and how it'd evolve with max hatred because it is a forgetful Pokemon for good reason. Love how it's come alive here :0
In my opinion Dividun is a good name, but Multiplusle has a few too many syllables and I think even reducing it to Multiplus or Multisle would work better. Amazing video, keep up the good work!
Greavish: I personally would've given it the Water/Dark type, but maybe that's just me. The really interesting thing about this mon isn't just that it resembles a broken heart, but that its body shape has reversed so that its front side is its back side and its new mouth is its... okay, no, I'm just gonna end that sentence there and try not to think about that any more deeply than I have to. Squeamishness aside, using the broken heart halves as the jaws of a toothy maw really is a cool concept, and it's well executed here. The evolution method, however, I have a bit of an issue with, because needing to have Luvdisc on your team without using it for however long it takes for it to gain ten levels is honestly kind of limiting, since it requires the player to essentially use a five-mon team that entire time. I suppose this could be worked around through experience candies or just grinding it at a point in the game where all the enemies are higher leveled than it and give more experience per battle, but it still doesn't sound like a particularly fun evolution process, especially considering that battling with your Pokemon is typically how you bond with them. (Although come to think of it, that's kind of the point of the design...) Diator: So this is the one design in the entire video (Folkachi promotion included) that I simply do not think works. And when I first saw it, my immediate thought was "I know I don't like this design, but why?" And after some consideration, I've realized that my dislike for Diator isn't because any one part of its body was poorly designed in and of itself, but because the two halves of the design -- the tortoise and the diamond -- simply do not lend themselves well to each other. The body consists of dark, warm colors and organic shapes; the shell is composed of light, cool colors in a geometric (and very beautiful) design. Despite the obvious backstory of coal becoming diamonds, there's not really anything visually to tie this diamond to the turtle's anatomy or even to ease it into the rest of the design, so it basically looks like it was just plopped on there for no clear reason. If I had to change the design to make the two aspects of the design work better with each other, I probably would've made the transition between the shell and the rest of the animal look more rocky or earthy, like the gemstone was being excavated out of Diator's back. I'm not sure how that would translate to a Fire/Steel type, but I think it would at least give Diator a bit of visual explanation as to why and how it has this huge glowing gem coming out of its back. Also, I don't think I like its face. Maybe it's the way it's looking at me. Multiplusle and Dividun: Finally, these guys. I love them. They're fantastic. They're so squishy and huggable and if they were real in the game I would totally use them. I love how each one has its own personality and secondary type -- the Electric/Dark Dividun and the Electric/Fairy Multiplusle just work so well as evolutions, so much so that it doesn't even matter to me that Plusle and Minun were actually based on positive and negative charges and not on math symbols, the designs are just that good. I don't think I've seen a take on the chipmunk twins this excellent since Pokemon Insurgence did Powerpow's take on Delta Plusle and Minun, which was also based on duality with Delta Plusle being Fairy/Fire and Delta Minun being Fairy/Ice. Honestly, now I'm kind of curious as to what Delta Multiplusle and Delta Dividun would look like... fakemonception? Anyway. The different shapes of the ears and the poses to resemble their respective mathematical symbols elevate these designs from mere Pika-clones to full-fledged personalities in their own right. Even the colors work towards establishing these mons as characters -- Dividun's darker tones and Multiplusle's brighter hues make no mistake as to what these creatures are about. I would buy a plushie of Dividun if it was on the market. It's that good.
For the plusle Evo, what about Multipal? The design is jovial enough and works as a foil to mischivide in both tone and structure (as in the "vide" being the last part of divide and "mult" being the first part of multiply). Also, it keeps some of the general P-L structure of plusle
Really love the design and concept for Grievish! Definitely deserves to exist Can imagine Diator is extremely rare in the wild, like only a 1-5% encounter rate in a single area, perhaps one that branches off from a route and need special access (like an hm move or NPC blockade) to get; maybe they survived by living in a remote, isolated region or maybe their natural habitat is under protection to help their population recover Evolving by battling against a pokemon with Pressure is pretty crazy but then again so are a lot of evolution methods nowadays xD A simpler method might be learning a special move Multiplusle and Dividun have great names, designs, and concepts imo!
I like the concept of dividun and multiplusle, but I think it'd be even cooler if it played into their aspect of being opposites more? With lore like the fact that them being together keeps them stable, but apart makes them different? To that end I'd imagine a slightly more complex evolution of Dividun evolving after four double battles where it fights on its own (empty/fainted team) while multiplusle evolves after four battles where it has battled with every single other member of the team (with none of those team members being minun) Imagine the lore of minun evolving to adapt to newfound loneliness while plusle is evolving due to a wide amount of support. Maybe they are both given a split evolution into either given these conditions? Sorry, had too much fun. I love your concepts and I show that by trying to build upon it
I have an Evolution method idea for Luvdisc to Greivish: -Release Luvdisc. After it's release, have 3 battles (wild or trainer). After the 3rd battle finishes, you will have a forced static field encounter with a "Wild" Greivish. The game will note at the start of the encounter, that this is your recently released Luvdisc. Here, you will have to battle and catch it (your choice). It will have the released Luvdusc stats, moves it had, nature, everything the same as your Luvdisc upon release.
I think a spit evaluation for luvdisc would be really cool one obviously would be your concept but the other being maybe a water fairy type evolving through a very high level of friendship
I honestly think dividun is perfect because it also sounds like dividend, but like many other have said it would be cool to extend the concept of them being positive and negatively charged ions
I thought about Diator evolving via exp share or with experience candies, but only when it's in the last party slot. It's like the pressure of all the Pokemon above it transformed its shell from coal to diamond, or if that doesn't sound like enough, give it either a metal coat or magmarizer as a held item before the level up happens
I love the visual concept and design for the Plusle and Minun evos! But... I don't like Minun evolving into something mischievous. They were designed with double battles in mind, as a pare of Pokemon known to work together really well, and by making them gather and separate others, you make them enemies rather than partners. I like it more as one is good at boosting it and it's partners states, while the other is good at reducing the enemy's stats. Imagine Dividum having a move that halves the enemy's defense stat for the next turn, and Multiplusle having a move that double's it's partner's attack for the turn it is used on (kinda like Helping Hand). They would be a team that still focus on helping each other while also still using the concepts of multiplication and division that way. And for names, I prefer Dividum myself, but I also agree that Multiplusle could use some work. Maybe Multipal, drawing on it's friendly nature as well?
I think plusle and minun could have more interesting evos. Yeah it’s cool how they match eachother but like twins they could grow separately from eachother. Plusle could be more outgoing and bulky whilst minun is more reserved and tactical, they’d still be a duo all the same though, even despite really becoming true opposites.
I think the Plusle-evo should be called Multipraise, going off of Multiply and praise, to show that Plusle has evolved and Multiplied its number of praises to the people and Pokemon around it.
I must be the one statistical anomaly among pokemon fans-- I like Luvdisc a lot and think it's really cute! Not all pokemon have to be strong or need complex designs to be "good." I can imagine myself having a few Luvdiscs as pets in a (large) home aquarium.
For Diator, maybe it can also evolve when fighting a pokemon with sheer force or some other ability that is similar to "pressure". But i cant imagine Torcoal getting an evolution in general. Think of it being able to hold an eviolite lol. Gamefreak really needs to make Alomomola as a true evolution to Luvdisc. It needs an evolution. It would be cool to have it as a split evo with this one here. And the plusle and minun evos are by far my favorite of this video. Amazing concepts and designs. Legit perfect evolutions.
7:56 Mattpat actually made a theory that made sense, as logically speaking, the other reason why Stantler can't evolve is because Wyrdeer's coat is great at protecting itself from the cold
Honestly, as someone whose tried using one, Luvdisc is lacking in a lot. But it's shiny is honestly pretty nice. It becomes golden in color, which gives a sort of heart locket vibe because of it. It works well as a golden shiny
Let's be honest. These are actually neat looking. I get the feeling that if Gamefreak were to give a Pokémon like Luvdisc an evolution they'd pull a "Dudunsparce" and make it a bigger heart called something dumb like "Luvelysc"...
Minun and Plusle are named after the electrical charge, so something like Electrusle and Protinun, swap the endings for to drive home the relationship between the two
Fun thought: what if Grievish evolved from Luvdisc having minimum friendship? All other friendship evolutions came from the Pokémon having a very high affection towards the player, so what if Grievish is only able to evolve when it also hates its trainer? Something very akin to Wendigomon from Digimon

Grievish looks more like a Regional Fake
Yes 👍

I wish I could like this comment twice. You are absolutely right
Grievish also plays off of the word grievous, as in, unable to heal. Which also plays into the phrase "you can't heal a broken heart."

I think the Plussle evo should be called Optimul based off of the word Optimistic and Multiply.
Optimul also sounds like optimal
Optimul...so does that mean there's Pessievide or something for Minun?
I think Optiple would sound better and fits in with Plusle’s name, having the “-le” ending
I like Optimul to it stays with the two beat
Multimist (?)
Another idea for Luvdisc to evolve into Grievish could simply be leveling it up while its friendship value is low or even 0, so that you would have to actively treat it negatively, such as letting it faint in battle, or using the bitter energy and root medicines on it, though this could be difficult or annoying to do.
That's a great idea! I was thinking of something similar like leveling it up after fainting in battle, i.e., use a rare candy on it after fainting
So you have to actually hate it to evolve?
@Khaos64 More specifically IT would have to hate YOU, opposite of the max friendship evolutions
Or if you leave it sitting in your PC box for a certain amount of time.
I think there's only one problem with the plusle and minun evos. Plusle and minun are not really based off maths, but instead positive and negative electrical signals so the evos shouldn't really be based of maths

Since basically all the gen 3 Ubers have pressure, surely some trainer would have discovered that evo mechanic before now, right?
I just thought of three things while watching this:
1. Luvdisc should have another split evolution, like a version that evolved from receiving enough affection.
2. I think it's better if Grievish's typing is water/dark.
3. Diator's typing should be fire/rock because diamond is a kind of rock.
Either way, great vid! 🤍
I feel like Plusle and Minun should also only evolve in a double battle if they reach level 25 together.
Omg actually amazing idea
Those Plusle and Minun ideas are similar to something I came up with when Gen 3 came out. XD
Though you made the same mistake I did. They aren't based on math concepts, they were based on idea of positive and negative electricity, hence their abilities Plus and Minus boosting eachother. The idea that the two attract each other.
A smart person!
Exactly was I thinking, they just named it because of the signs but it actually came from proton and electron and theres no division or multiplication charges in electricity. Lol
Yes. Maybe a good idea would be "Plusitron" and "Minetron".
We need Carnivine evolution, one day it will happen
These are some cool ideas. For Diator's evolution method, maybe it can evolve when a Pokémon with Pressure is in your party rather than having it fight against a Pokémon with that ability to help allow trainers to have more control over the situation.
For Plusle and Minun's names, I think working backwards from Japanese might help
プラスル Purasuru (4 syllables/characters)
マイナン (4 characters)
Multiply = マルチプライ Maruchipurai
Divide = ディバイド Dibaido
(Both 5-6 characters)
I think you can combine them with their pre-evos like this:
マルチプラス Multiplus
ディバイナス Divinus
Well for plusle and minun, they should have a karrablast and shelmet type of evolution and make it somehow to theme into the concept of alternating currents (or AC). Their plus and minus them is change into a sinusoidal wave. Sinus and Soidal😅😅😅
I think a better way to evolve luvdisc is to make it evolve when leveling up at low friendship as oppose to the regular friendship evolution
I've always wanted low friendship as an evolution method! I get why they don't do it but it's such a cool idea
@@arininquotes8396 agreed, we even already have a move based on low friendship
Grievish was really interesting! The method of evolution was different than what I thought, too: Luvdisc using Attract, but is still attacked X-number of times.
I think Grievish is a really cool concept, and I like the name, but personally, I think it should evolve at a certain level only if it has 0 friendship
_I really don't understand how Alomomola wasn't Luv's evo._
Grievish looks almost identical to Radicalsoda's luvdisc evolution he made recently.
If Luvdisc ever gets an evolution. I say if you didn’t like Lucdisc at their worst. You don’t deserve Luvdisc at their best.
Hard truth indeed
I think diator, while being an old gimic, should be friendship. Bonding with your torkoal make it confident enough to evolve knowing you'll protect it
I feel like Luvdisc should evolve if it levels up, and faints, broken hearted, plus the "death" would make sense for it to evolve into a ghost-type.
Nice knoggin plushie in the background
Edit: the plushie is at 0:53 if you wanted to see it it’s in the top right corner
For the mirrored version of Mischivide I would go with “Posiply” from both Positive and Multiply combining both parts of Plusle and its evolution.
Someone beat me to that name XD
I definitely want Torkoal to have this evolution. Not for the evo itself, but for EVIOLITE TORKOAL 😈
An interesting method for Diator evolution could be surviving a certain number of hits from Earthquake.
I’d like to see Lucario to evolve into a legendary
@@starvoltnexus3139 it would be interesting
Stole that from Truegreen7
@@kianthornton2856 I don’t think so
@@macwelch8599 he made at least 2 videos on it
Wartortle is also already based on the same origin as Terapagos, so Diator could totally be related in a similar way
Imagine a third evolution to Plusle and Minun based on Integration and Derivation 💀
10:35 minor critiques on Multiplusle & Dividun: You could add dark yellow to Plusle & Minun's normal colorations; Making Multiplusle orange like you already did & Dividun green. Their shinies would be the previous evolutions' normal colours!
i love the ideas
i feel like grievish now needs a third evolution tho, cuz its sad to end up with an broken heart
Man i wonder what a lapras evolution would look like? I guess i am looking forward to it for an eviolite lapras set
I like the concept of the plusle and minun evolutions I just always thought they were based on positively/negatively charged ions since they're electric types
They are based off of Postively/Negatively charged electricity
@@ShadowEclipex oh cool, thanks!
They are! It's great that you know!
@@kianthornton2856 Tone it done a bit, no need to get agressive over a simple mistake.
@ShadowEclipex "simple mistake" multiple people make this mistake and it's something learn about in the first 6 years of their education!
Sweetiply would be a fun idea for plusle's evo! Sounds like sweetie pie and with it being a positive pokemon i think it fits :D
Cool idea, having Torkoal evolve into Heatran. I always suspected that was the case, or at least could have been. Like Diancie and Carbink
Hopefully you’ll add the shiny versions as well as the normal in the next one.
The Pulse and Minun are evos in this are perfect, theyre so cool!
I like with Grievish how looking at it one way makes it look sad, whereas the other way makes it look angry.
Yoooo I remember talking about a broken heart Luvdisc with a friend years ago and how it'd evolve with max hatred because it is a forgetful Pokemon for good reason. Love how it's come alive here :0
That thumbnail brought excitement beyond what I thought could happen
Oh my Arceus, these are all *SO GOOOOOOD-UH.*
Hoenn and Johto are really hurting for Evolutions...
Please more of these!
The evolution looks really good along with the inspiration, also I think luvdisc evolution will come for revenge
In my opinion Dividun is a good name, but Multiplusle has a few too many syllables and I think even reducing it to Multiplus or Multisle would work better. Amazing video, keep up the good work!
What about Mischivide and Multipal? (Multiple + Pal)
All good ideas! The luvdisc one definitely looks and sounds like it could be an original design
Grievish is a great concept, but i think its secondary typing should be dark, ie. having a dark heart now. Regardless, good stuff!
We all gotta love how this video was posted on the same day somebody posted an art video for evolutions to the already existing eevelutions.
(Although come to think of it, that's kind of the point of the design...)
Diator: So this is the one design in the entire video (Folkachi promotion included) that I simply do not think works.
Those names are absolute perfection. I really like how ‘Multipal’ is a play in the word ‘multiple’
Really love the design and concept for Grievish! Definitely deserves to exist
Can imagine Diator is extremely rare in the wild, like only a 1-5% encounter rate in a single area, perhaps one that branches off from a route and need special access (like an hm move or NPC blockade) to get; maybe they survived by living in a remote, isolated region or maybe their natural habitat is under protection to help their population recover
Evolving by battling against a pokemon with Pressure is pretty crazy but then again so are a lot of evolution methods nowadays xD A simpler method might be learning a special move
Multiplusle and Dividun have great names, designs, and concepts imo!
I like the concept of dividun and multiplusle, but I think it'd be even cooler if it played into their aspect of being opposites more? With lore like the fact that them being together keeps them stable, but apart makes them different?
To that end I'd imagine a slightly more complex evolution of Dividun evolving after four double battles where it fights on its own (empty/fainted team) while multiplusle evolves after four battles where it has battled with every single other member of the team (with none of those team members being minun)
Imagine the lore of minun evolving to adapt to newfound loneliness while plusle is evolving due to a wide amount of support. Maybe they are both given a split evolution into either given these conditions?
Sorry, had too much fun. I love your concepts and I show that by trying to build upon it
The Lovedisc evolution concept is so good!
I have an Evolution method idea for Luvdisc to Greivish:
-Release Luvdisc.
I love the idea of a fierce Torkoal taking on a legendary and winning and getting its diamond shell as its victory prize
I think a spit evaluation for luvdisc would be really cool one obviously would be your concept but the other being maybe a water fairy type evolving through a very high level of friendship
I love Luvdisc🥺 but I do agree that the poor thing deserves an evolution, it's been needing one for years at this point
I honestly think dividun is perfect because it also sounds like dividend, but like many other have said it would be cool to extend the concept of them being positive and negatively charged ions
I thought about Diator evolving via exp share or with experience candies, but only when it's in the last party slot. It's like the pressure of all the Pokemon above it transformed its shell from coal to diamond, or if that doesn't sound like enough, give it either a metal coat or magmarizer as a held item before the level up happens
another interesting evolution method for Grievish would be to win a double battle after its partner faints, maybe it would be also another luvdisc.
These were all really interesting, I like all the designs here
technically shouldnt the name have "times" in it rather than multiply? The og pokemon is called Plusle, not Additionale.
These are genius. Absolutely adore them ♥️. Hoenn is also my favorite region of Pokémon.
Bountiply for the evolution name, bountiful and multiply… i think that works… Mischivide and Bountiply
Honestly, as someone whose tried using one, Luvdisc is lacking in a lot. But it's shiny is honestly pretty nice. It becomes golden in color, which gives a sort of heart locket vibe because of it. It works well as a golden shiny
Luvdisc already got an evolution in Gen 5 with Alomnomla. Love this alternative evolution concept though.
Let's be honest. These are actually neat looking. I get the feeling that if Gamefreak were to give a Pokémon like Luvdisc an evolution they'd pull a "Dudunsparce" and make it a bigger heart called something dumb like "Luvelysc"...
Divi and Multi are just fine and as cute as their previous forms. No need to complicate it when it wasn't complicated to begin with lol
Level 25 would also be a nice reference to Pikachu's pokedex number.
Where Annihilape evolves from death, Luvdisc evolves from fanbase-inflicted depression.
Great concept, and very sadge
