may be a FAQ, cant find too many answers to give myself a definite solid pick bc I don't have much currency so I just got to pick one and invest, but overall would slayer or trickster be better for LS? Pros and cons of each? I see that slayer is a preferred ascendancy for LS by a far margin, but I would just like some opinions and tips from an obviously far more experienced player. Thanks!
I would say slayer is easier to setup, you just have to stack frenzy charges, turn them into endurance charges and you are decently tanky and have great damage. However, after high investment into trickster the levels of damage can reach that of slayer and the tankiness if way beyond slayer's build. Also crafting CI gear is a lot easier in general as it often just involves dense fossil spamming. All in all, seeing you situation if you don't have much currency I'd personally chose slayer because it's easy to get off the ground. Unless you plan on bringing the build into endgame and farming 100+ divines, in which case trickster is more fun to build in the endgame.
@@ShadowPoE thanks so much. great explanation and how I thought of it as well. I had about 10 divines, so last night I went ahead and respec'ed my flicker strike slayer into LS and having a blast. barely any investment and t16s are comfy, dmg and tanky wise
I'm thinking about transitioning to this build from my Hexblast Trickster (CI version pretty much achieved). I was wondering why you didn't take es% tattoos, and how much better is this block version vs an pure ES version ? Thank you for you guide !
The intelligence provides just as much energy shield as a %es tattoo, assuming you have specced in increased intelligence on tree and as corrupt implicit. By leaving those intelligence nodes intact we have more int, which translates into more evasion rating with the evasion and energy shield mastery. The non block based version (evasion based) would allow you to run something like an Atziri's reflection to deal more damage (due to curse effectiveness) and curse immunity. However, it will be less tanky, it's mostly a preference thing, both versions will work.
@@PavelBe860 If you have your action speed is at least 108 from trickster (One step ahead ascendency) it doesn’t do anything (unless you have other boosts elsewhere pushing your above 8%) I assume the people using action speed boots don’t have ‘One step ahead’ assigned.
Both Power Siphon and Frost Blades trickster scale pretty hard early and can be used as a leaguestart. But even a lightning strike can be build on a lower budget and expanded upon as the league goes on.
@@user-yu9qq3dr6b You can use the mark mastery for a chance to gain a frenzy charge when hitting a marked enemy. The reason we take +1 power charge is because we use the Anathema ring, which sets your curse limit to be equal to your maximum power charges, this way we can apply another curse for more damage.
Returning projectiles can shotgun (hit the same enemy again) and this is not properly calculated by PoB. Hence the manual addition to the config, I used 75% to be slightly conservative as there might be situations where a returning projectile does not hit due to the enemy moving.
@@yuriyvanov7587 Yeah you could, though you might want to reconsider some of the support gems. poe ninja should give a good indication which ones would be best.
