You have very good combo of traction and balance on top of raising up that pole saw which is not that light and easy. What I did was attach an added pole to increase the length and raise the pole using a rope and pulley. I studied my method quite well before applying it because of my fear of going to the Emergency Room and COVID19 exposure during this Pandemic. Thanks for sharing.
Now I know who to call for any work on a roof. (You'll never catch me on a roof! I was trying to back away from the edge just watching this video.😎) Totally understand your comment about wet areas looking dry. I got the truck stuck in the mud on Sunday because I thought an area of the yard was dry, but it wasn't.
@@se7encureton You got a better deal then me. Dont be disappointed when it works so well that you trim everything in a day and then the saw hangs in your garage for a while. The saw is faster then any tree branch. Have fun.
I have actually done the exact same thing with that pole saw before. Not very hard if you have good footing and know the forces of the polesaw. I do want to learn how to climb trees though. It’s safer.
Nice job. I have the Stihl HTA 86, and am finding lots of things I can do which were never possible before. The scariest part of the video was when you hung the running chain saw while doing something else. You must have picked a time to do this video of you on the roof with a chainsaw when your wife was not at home and your neighbors were busy.
Why the hell are you on the roof??? Who is the breadwinner of your family? Learn how to fell a tree in the direction you want. If it makes you feel better, Hook that dozer cable and pull toward an open aera.
That whole tree would’ve came down before I got up on that roof! Brave work be safe.
I just got the stihl ht131r combi system fell in love with it. Got every attachment that came with it one of the best purchases I’ve ever made!

I am going to be doing some heavier than what it’s for so I’ll see how that goes.

Hi Be careful on that roof. Please can you tell me where you got the pocket wrench, is it an Anson?
Well I learned one thing today, put my bar and chain oil in a Dawn dish washing dispenser to keep it from spilling everywhere.
I use a Palmolive bottle for my bar oil.
Mustard bottle
Cool vid, I highly recommend the electric (battery) pole saw from stihl, very impressive.
Sounds interesting. That was not out when we got this saw.
Battery saw is pish
@@wullierennie3190 WTF is pish?
video is scary to watch knowing you have no safety line on. Ive seen it many times, im safe, then fall. Watch your footing
