    Tied up plenty on bendable pins. Flies last multiple trips out catching 20-30 fish each trip. Bass, panfish and trout.

    Good information, Jay. Thanks. But don't confuse "eustachian" (a tube in the ear that connects the middle ear cavity with the nasopharynx) and "escutcheon" (e.g., a plate that surrounds a keyhole). The pins you used are "escutcheon pins".

    I prefer a slotted tungsten bead on some 70lb braid doubled over similar to an intruder loop. Much more slender body profile. Also more durable.
