I've ridden 20,000km on my Fantic Caballero 500 (Flat Track) around the hills and mountains of the rural Algarve - the bike's a sensation on these roads and dirt tracks, flawless, and an utter blast. Highly recommended.
Love my Caballero 500 - 2 years on and still the most fun I’ve had on a bike since my teens and it’s been faultless. Taken it on a few green lanes and it manages pretty well, I can ride almost 200 miles in a day and it does 70mpg.
I could have written that myself, I needed a double take. I also have a Fantic Caballero 500 (Flat Track) and I've now done 20,000km around the Algarve hills and mountains - the bike is a masterpiece and so much fun I often burst out laughing it's THAT good. Ten out of ten for me...
I seriously considered it 2 years ago but being new to bikes I got cold feet reading the negativity around the chinese engine. I wish I was seeing this feedback back then. I rarely see a used one for sale, I guess I now know why.
@@oliviermagere My dealer keeps asking if he can buy it back because he can’t get replacement stock. That same engine is being used in several bikes now and in tuned form in the Dakar rally - that version has twin cams and has around 50+ bhp so it can handle more stress than the mildly tuned version in the cab. Got to say I think it’s pretty bomb proof.
husq 401 svart owner here, I like my 2023 better than the updated 24 models (except that larger fuel tank).... But I had never seen that Fantic Cabellero before (I am in the USA) ... That rally version, at a pricepoint thats close to what I paid for my svart..... daaaaaang that thing looks nice
I just changed my old Rebel 500 for one of the last available old model Royal Enfield Himalayan. I'm super happy! I tested all the adventure and Scrambler bikes at the Helsinki Motor show and the Royal Enfield was my favorite. I haven't ridden it yet but I can pick it up when the snow is gone. Can't wait! 😊
Although I predominately ride larger cc motorcycles, I think Triumph have hit the nail on the head with their 400cc singles. They've got the styling, fit and finish and price point.......That's a winning combination right there. I expect they will be selling quite a few unit's in the next few months. Great review again....love it mate ❤👍😊
Try one, you will love it immediately, they look cool in pictures but in real life they look "expensive" and cooler. The engine was much smoother than i was expecting and the suspension for me was the biggest surprise, class all the way, i immediately ordered one😅
What I like in the scramblers is the idea of some good trail riding capability as well as the retro style. So my favourites are the Caballero 500 and Triumphs 1200. I wish Fantic had made the Caballero 700 more comparable to the T7 than to the MT07
I've got a 2024 Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle. Absolutely love it for city driving. I live in Bangkok so there is a lot of traffic and such to weave in and out of. Downsides are the back cylinder gets uncomfortably hot at stop lights mid day in the sun. I also feel it could use dual disk brakes up front and if you're not going on gravel roads etc. the stock tires need to be replaced. But that goes for most bikes on your list. Also being new to road bikes but coming from 20 years of dirt bike riding and racing I should have gone for the Scrambler 1100 as I could easily manage more power.
The only downside to a scrambler is that they look so cool that I'd be afraid to really push it off road. If I tipped it over and scratched the paint..... I'd be bummed
I'm sorry, but the Yamaha XSR have to much disturbance to look at, especially around the engine. There are so much going on. I used to have an MT07 some years ago, and after cleaning, I hade cuts all over my hands. Really annoying! I don't know why Yamaha made the bike with all those things sticking out. Thank you mr Bob!
I'm thinking bout switching my V7 for the scrambler 400x. It depends on the highway performance for me, but it would be great to have something better for rough roads.
I had an XSR700 XTribute, absolutely not a scrambler, peachy engine but grabby clutch and 17" front wheel, street only unless you're a masochist. I spent a lot of time and money to get it the way I wanted, fork mods, Ohlins shock etc but it was uncomfortable with a choppy ride. I found it disappointing despite being a big Yamaha fan.
Triumph 1200XE by far the best bike in every aspect IMHO. RE quality is miles away from others especially the new tRiumph 400 had a look at fowlers on Sunday and was blown away how good it was.
If I was spending my money then top of my list would the Triumph 1200 Scrambler XE , if I was spending a little less money then the Fantic 500 Scrambler would be the one I'd spend my money on
Quad lock is cool.. but only use it if you have a compatible quad lock phone case. If you are gonna get the "universal" stick on holder.. dont bother.. you will never trust it anyway.. so just go for the copy at a 10th of the price and super glue it to the phone case
In my experience, no but maybe I'm crap. The best bike I had for snow was a hardtail chopper, the seat was so low it was almost impossible to fall off but obviously I still managed to 😆
Try XSR 155. I have the same bike and I've been able to bring it to 3 river crossings and some off-roading. It's heavy, but powerful and that VVA will help push the bike a little well over 65mph when you're traveling.
Dear MotoBob excellent product description on All brands Scrambler motorcycles. In fact I liked all companies Scrambler cum Retro looking New Generation beautiful motorcycles.Simple Styling,Less Weight and Comfortable Sitting position motorcycles are more preferable .I liked your video 🎉
How can the top of your list be a bike thats not released yet? with no price, nobody has seen it finished, nobody has ridden it. For all you know it could end up being a right dog lol
BTW ... have you ever maintaned a Himalyan? Design is fine, but technical development is far beyond.
I know it's difficult for people in the UK to wrap their head around that not everyone uses kg or mm....... Try throwing up standard measurements also please

Waiting for my fantom black triumph scrambler 400x. Did a test ride and fell in love!
Missing from the list the great Moto Morini Seiemmezzo Scrambler. Got it a few weeks ago, great bike to ride, been having a blast!
I wish triumph would just apply the same exhaust styling on the 400scrambler from the 900 scrambler...it would look amazing!
It would sadly make it wholly impractical for it's primary markets
I love the Zard exhaust because it doesn’t go up and makes the bike look better

That a 100 hp engine your sitting on, all you need are to put bigger jugs on it and re tune it. Its de tuned for that bike.
Any update on the BSA Scrambler concept, that looked a peach...?
I have an interceptor 650 customized as a scrambler and couldn't be more happy
The only downside to a scrambler is that they look so cool that I'd be afraid to really push it off road. If I tipped it over and scratched the paint..... I'd be bummed
What about the Benelli 800 Trail? It very much has a scrambler vibe
The Malle Rally support bikes are the best custom for purpose jobs I've seen on the RE 650. If RE could do that they would beat the market hands down.
For me are Husqvarna duo of 401 or even more on 5march coming 801/901 version 😊😂❤❤❤ keep up with great work and videos like this

The best of the lot is the Ducati Scrambler 1100.
I really dislike the heavy headlight guards. That Triumph 400 scrambler light guard is the most hideous thing ever!
Wait for the new Svartpilen 801 next month 😉 that one will be worthy
Moto Morini Sieimezzo should definitely be on this list.
I think it would be a toss up between Ducati Scrambler and XSR700 for me.
I'm thinking bout switching my V7 for the scrambler 400x. It depends on the highway performance for me, but it would be great to have something better for rough roads.
Expect highway performance to be distinctly average for the 400X (I have one).
What are your thoughts on the Ducati 1100 Sport Pro? IMO it is hands down the best looking bike in the whole market.
I had an XSR700 XTribute, absolutely not a scrambler, peachy engine but grabby clutch and 17" front wheel, street only unless you're a masochist. Cfmoto clx700?
Cfmoto CLX series and honda CB650 & 1000r should be in this list
MotoBob! I need that updated, latest breaking news on that Svarpilen 901**
Triumph 1200XE by far the best bike in every aspect IMHO. RE quality is miles away from others especially the new tRiumph 400 had a look at fowlers on Sunday and was blown away how good it was.
weight and price wise though..

Can you version of this video for used bikes?
00.46 Is that Brighton you're going into. ?
Where are Benelli and Moto Morini scramblers ? For me, the Benelli, Honda and Indian ftr scramblers are the best looking modern scramblers.
What about the rumoured BSA 650cc scrambler?
The Triumph is the only one with a true Scramble type exhaust system
Quad lock is cool.. but only use it if you have a compatible quad lock phone case. If you are gonna get the "universal" stick on holder.. dont bother.. you will never trust it anyway.. so just go for the copy at a 10th of the price and super glue it to the phone case
RE 650 is the one I’m waiting for.
Looks very long
there is also a new royal enfield himalayan 450 and it has power in it....
That's not a Scrambler, it's an ADV.
CP2 engine on Yamaha is in fact an outstanding off road engine.. ref T7.
I wish Triumph would make a 600cc version :/
I love the 400x but it misses just a few 5-10 hp :/
You miss Jawa here....500 RVM Scrambler is VERY decent bike in 5-6g range.
Triumph ❤
Love a Huskie
Yamaha needs to make a real scrambler. XSR with bigger front tire and slightly higher suspension please.
Are scramblers good in snow?
In my experience, no but maybe I'm crap.
The best bike I had for snow was a hardtail chopper, the seat was so low it was almost impossible to fall off but obviously I still managed to 😆
@@RufusCapstick thanks
Is making lists and reading spec sheets really all this channel does right now?
Very slickly put together though.
I pick FTR for the win.
That is rad for a little 400
And here I am dressing up my little hunter 350 as a wannabe light-scrambler hah.
i feel all scramblers need a high exhaust to truly be called a scrambler in my opinion as for me they should be able to get through flood water
Should not be a problem if you have engine on or off for that matter. It’s the airbox that needs to remain dry.
Jawa Scrambler if you find it ride it 👍🏻
What, no spokes wheels?
No Moto Morini SCR?!?
Husq doesn't make 600-700cc bikes?
Some of these are far too big, powerful & heavy to be true Scramblers.......They're supposed to be lightweight bikes....
And yet
Try XSR 155. I have the same bike and I've been able to bring it to 3 river crossings and some off-roading. It's heavy, but powerful and that VVA will help push the bike a little well over 65mph when you're traveling.

What's a kilogram ?
Millimeter ?
Centimeter ?
American?
Well the XSR 700 isnt considered a scrambler bike nor the the svarptilen is. Its not even marketed as a scrambler by Yamaha.
At what point bike bikes get so heavy again.
Where is my CF MOTO Heritage? 🙃
where is the Kawasaki z900rs? best retro bike
The triumph400 has a ktm duke 390 engine cmon
The Yamaha will be around for years to come .
10:52 excellent ai generated content 😂
11:28 too 😂
Sponsored by Triumph ?? :)
There are too many ads which ruined the experience to watch....😢
Those triumph tanks with fade paint jobs will date really badly.
Someone's got a Midjourney account...
What's a euro ?
Pound ?
Quid ?

Where on earth are you looking to get a Scram 411 for £4849?????
£3700 is the current going price brand new. Incredible value for money!
The Royal Enfield official UK website says 4849!!.. So dont bluff..
Sorry Bob, but the xsr is neither retro or a scrambler.
It might be a good bike, but it’s not a scrambler.
RE-411 Scram HP is a joke!!! My 1976-RD-400 destroys it in every dept
No moto guzzi??? 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
Jucati scrambler.
The Triumph 400 is surely a good bike. But it does not look really retro.
Fun stuff. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
