6.0 liter ford diesel is not known to be a good pick without arp studs and head gaskets . They were a poison motor from day 1 . Can be made a reasonable power unit but only if you have time and $$$ to do it .

As long as they're stock and maintained they're actually fairly decent! It's when they're dogged on & tuned and all they get unreliable... and don't get me started on the 6.4!
